This listing is for an antique MZ(Moritz Zdekauer) Austria porcelain berry bowl with a gorgeous pearlized finish! This bowl is extremely well made and dates circa 1884 to 1909. It is a glossy white. With white flowers, a pink rose and lovely green leaves. Every-other sculpted rim displays a white flower with hand-painted accents. There are gold gilt designs along the rim of the bowl and along the sculpted beading within the inside of the bowl. The bowl measures 11 1/8" inches wide and 3 1/2" inches tall. It is free of chips, cracks or fractures. There is some minimal gold gilt loss, but consistent with age. It is signed on the bottom with the green double eagle Austria mark, as well as the words Gesetzlich and Geschutzt. The numbers ... more9801 and 1 are embossed into the base of the bowl as well. Antique M Z AUSTRIA White Gold Bowl w/ Painted Flowers Moritz Zdekauer 1884-1909 For your consideration is a pre-owned. Antique bowl. Bowl has flowers that were painted on top of the porcelain. Bowl has a lovely gold decoration as shown. My research tells me that based upon backstamp information this is a Moritz Zdekauer bowl. Made between 1884-1909 in Austria. Additionally. There is an impressed mark which is difficult to read, but I believe that it reads 1121(see photos to review, as am not sure of accuracy of this impression) Addditionally, it says 3521, and 2 letters are in front of that. I think that the 2 letters are either DL or OL, but I am unsure. There is a photo of it for you to review. I was told by someone who knows more about porcelain antiques than I do that this stands for either the studio or factory where the flowers were ... morepainted, but this may or may not be correct. Flowers could have been hand painted, and seem hand painted to me, but I just do not know if this is the case. Bowl measures about 11 1/8" across the top at the widest point. And it stands about 2.75" tall when measuring from outside of the bowl. This makes a lovely serving bowl. Or a bowl one can display. Up for bid is this very nice piece of antique Austrian porcelain. This candy or nut dish was made by the Moritz Zdekauer company between 1884 and 1909. The mark on the bottom of the dish. As shown in pictures 4 and 5, says"MZ Austria" The dish has two very beautiful arrangements of flowers painted on it against a light blue and white background. The entire edge of the dish is gold colored. As shown in picture#2, this wonderful dish is signed by the decorator. This dish is over 100 years old and does show some age wear. The bottom of the dish has some spots and marks on it. There are a few very small spots in the gold trim where you can see minor wear. Other then that the dish has no cracks or chips. Hello, Up for auction is an Antique Moritz Zdekauer Porcelain Ramekin Set This set is from around the 1900's made in Austria The cup measures about 3 3/4 diameter and 1 1/2 tall The Underplate measures about 5 inches. It has a pretty green outside frill with white base. There are pink pretty flowers. Please see condition description. Antique M Z Austria Hand Painted Footed Oval Bowl Moritz Zdekauer 1884 to 1909 Footed oval bowl with folded scalloped edge is elaborately painted inside and out. Earthy tones with painterly color transitions and lovely artistic composition of chestnuts and blossoms. Bowl measures approximately 4" tall by 8.25" long by 7.25" wide. Dates between 1884 and 1909. ANTIQUE MORITZ ZDEKAUER NAPPY MONOGRAM B GOLD FINGER DISH MZ AUSTRIA c1884-1909
The pictures show this piece from many angles. This piece is in very good condition with no chips or cracks except that the bottom has 2 of what I think are called flea bites. You can see this in the last picture. The gold motif is in great shape and is mostly intact as you can see in the pictures. There are few signs of use on this nappy. It measures about 7” by about 4 3/8" when measuring between the farthest points. It is monogramed with what I think is the letter"B" The back has the letters"K M A" in gold. It is marked MZ. Austria which dates it to the years 1884 to 1909 according to Kovels. That would qualify all MZ work to be considered antique since it is over 100 years old. Insurance is included.
