This porcelain bowl features a colorful transfer print showing two beautiful young ladies dressed in period attire. One is carrying a lamb and the other is carrying a bouquet of flowers. The center scene is surrounded by a gold floral band. The sides of bowl are decorated with sprays of red& white flowers on a green background fading into a light pastel green around the border. The scalloped embossed rim has brushed gold trim. Back of bowl shows the mark of an M in wreath with crown and Bavaria below. Bowl measures 2 3/8" h. x 9" dia. No chips. Cracks, or glaze crazing. The back has the manufacturer's mark- a crown and two shields with Vienna. Austria. There were reportedly four New York importers that used this mark. They were PH Leonard, Bawo& Dotter, Charles L. This bowl is absolutely gorgeous. It's maker is K Steinmann and Co from Germany. It dates back to the very early 1900's, and despite its age it is in excellent condition. There are no chips, cracks, or crazing; I see no flaws whatsoever. I should mention that even the paint looks great, as there really is no paint loss to comment on. K. Steinmann and Co was a German company located in Berlin. The company operated from 1868 through 1938. They began by making tea sets for buyers in India, and later graduated to become makers of some of the finest china available. The company thrived up until the economic crisis of 1929, and was then sold in 1932. The new owner continued production under the same name. This piece is a fabulous example of their fine china and superior craftsmanship. The background is a lovely soft green. Antique VERUS PORCELAIN CABBAGE LETTUCE LEAVES BOWL Oliver China Sebring circa 1900 Up for bid is a wonderful whimsical antique porcelain bowl. It is molded like large cabbage or lettuce leaves on the outside. Inside it has rich gold finish. There are four gold covered feet on underside. It is a serving size measuring about 10 1/2" by 10" across. It is approx 3" deep and approx 4" 4 1/4" high from table to rim. The underside is marked: VERUS PORCELAIN. This identifies the maker as Oliver China from Sebring Ohio. The company was founded in 1898. Named after Oliver Sebring, and the first china company in that town. This mark was in use from about 1988 to 1908. Condition: It is without chips or cracks. I can find one small nick in an outside ridge(see close-up photo) It is not distracting and is not readily noticed unless ... morelooking closely to find it. There is crazing within the glaze. Some of the craze lines have darkened and are noticeable on the underside. The gold finish is worn on the feet. Some color wear on gold around the edge and in one of the"vein" channels on inside. Also some rubbing or light scratching on gold surface inside but again nothing I would consider severe considering age. Note white"bump" on next to last photo is not damage but a bump in porcelain from when piece was made. A beautiful old and original piece! Might be a very nice find for those that love cabbageware or other tableware inspired by vegetables. Leaves and nature. Display on high shelf in kitchen or on hutch for maximum effect. Offered is an old oval bowl that belonged to my husband's Grandmother(1868-1957) The estimated age is from the 1890's to early 1900's. There is no ID. But perhaps a knowledgeable Ebayer could provide some info. The color is a bluish gray with charcoal accents. The pictures are showing the colors a bit darker than they are. There are remnants of gold gilding on the edges. Paint flecks are visible throughout. The bowl measures 13 1/4" long x 8 1/2" deep, x 2 3/4" high. There are numerous issues: 3 small chips on 1 side, 2 smaller chips at handle edge underside, 1 paint dot chip on the side. There are also additional mfg. flaws: 2" indented groove line on the inside bottom, 2 paint flaws. Description This is one of my most exciting antique/vintage finds ever! Up for auction is a breathtaking decorative baby wash basin made in England made in the early 1900's. This was purchased at an estate sale of an elderly gentleman. The bowl appears to be made of ironstone and decorated with various scenes of a mother with children and father with children. The colors inside and out of the bowl are still very vivid and beautiful and is trimmed in gold. Which is somewhat waning. The old bowl has light crazing and chips which can be viewed in pictures below. There are a couple of cracks from age as well- please view all pictures carefully. I have had these for years and think it is now time to let them go. They are beautiful and I love the way the pottery feels in your hands– smooth and almost handmade and luxurious. There are 2 that match and 1 extra! The matching 2 are in gorgeous dark blue flow and are a matching pattern. They are done in rose floral and anthacus leaves inside and outside. They are in stunning antique overall condition! No chips or cracks at all! They show stain from wear– always thought this added to the charm of them. They are marked on the bottom“Petrus Regout& Co. This is a rare and stunning antique porcelain serving dish from the famous Zsolnay ceramic factory in Pecs. Hungry. It features a beautiful gold/green iridescent glaze to represent the ocean, with a snake wound around the rim(and waves) with a red lobster grabbing the snakes tail with it's claw as the snakes head creeps up on the lobster's tail. It is incised with the Zsolnay factory mark and form#6103. The piece is in excellent condition ~ an exceptional glaze with a beautiful luster, no chips, cracks, or hairline fractures. For your consideration: a charming porcelain bowl that I believe dates to the late 19th or early 20th century. Since the mark(photo 8) is very faint and illegible. I am basing the dating on family history. The bowl features a still life against a pale green ground with deep green and gold decorating the outer edge. The exterior is plain white. Measurements: 10" diameter and 2 5/8" high. Overall. The bowl is in remarkably good condition for its age because it was treasured by my grandmother and mother. William Morris French Antique Washstand Bowl& Water Pitcher– 1890’s- 1900’s– Longchamp Faience Transferware A beautiful antique washstand ensemble consisting of a large bowl which is usually placed inside the table opening and its matching water pitcher dating from the 1890’s– 1900’s. Made in traditional transferware which consists of using with an engraved copper plate which prints the pattern on tissue paper. Which then transfers the wet ink to the ceramic surface. The ceramic is then fired in a low temperature kiln to fix the pattern and produce a rich glazed finish to the piece. This two piece set is decorated in the‘Pivoine’ peonies) pattern in a smoky-blue grey color with a deep transparent glaze. The water pitcher has a large peonies pattern on each ... moreside and smaller appliqued patterns inside the pouring lip and on the exterior of the handle. It measures 5 ¼ inches high and 7 inches in diameter at the bottom of the handle. It is in exceptional condition for its age- no chips and only a small hairline fissure under the lip that does not go through to the other side. The large bowl is richly decorated with two large peony patterns inside and outside along with two smaller blooms. It is in perfect condition– no chips. No cracks and no fissures and measures 13 ¼ inches in diameter and stands 4 inches high. Both pieces are stamped“Pivoines and Longchamp with“CR” in the center. Finding a matching set in such an exceptional condition is rare and this one comes from the guest room in a large estate in Provence. Where it was very likely kept and used for a century. Together. ANTIQUE FRUIT BOWL ~ ADAMS ENGLAND (GREEN) Marked ~ Signed ~Numbered 1879 -1900
ANTIQUE FRUIT BOWL- BY THE MARK THIS LOOKS TO BE 1879-EARLY 1900's. WILLIAM ADAMS Please see the pictures for all the details. This has the early Adams mark. And has been hand-painted with the artist's Name, Place, mark, and number. Adams mark. Number or date) is under the Artist mark. The bowl measures approx. 6-1/4" in diameter. And 1-1/4" high. This is green, with perhaps a touch of blue.The rim is gold, and painted veins run through the bowl with painted flowers and fruit in the center. Amazingly there are not any chips, cracks or repairs. There is a rough spot on the back, and a small lump which I have shown in a picture that looks original. There is a few flea bites, and a couple of dark marks which you can also see in the pictures. I have tried to show many pictures of the back, as it is difficult to see. So please ... moreif you would like any other pictures I will be happy to help you. Serving Bowl Made by J. H. W. Sons(Weatherby) of Hanley. England It has a White background with Blue"Maltese Pattern" This Maker's Mark was used between 1892-1900 This bowl measures 10 1/4" long x 7 1/2" wide x 1 3/4"deep It is in good condition for its age There is some ware under the scalloped edge that has worn off. Bit of History: Weatherby moved to the Falcon works from a smaller works in Tunstall in 1892. The factory was in the Weatherby family until closure in 2000. The works made everything from fancy goods to domestic ware. But their main lines were in Hotel and crested ware. One of the last remaining family-owned pottery firms is to close after more than a century. At its height the company employed 200.The company was founded in Tunstall in 1891 and moved to Hanley the following year. It first made ... moredomestic ware such as basins and ewers. German Antique Porcelain Rose Design Cup Very Large Early 1900's This cup had always been in my family in Germany. It is still in pretty good condition except for some wear on the gold around the rim and handle. The inscription in old German writing says: Since all cups are always too small for you. This one should be large enough' It is 4 inches across and 4 1/2 inches tall and holds about a pint I would say. The indented script on the bottom is I believe makers number and a date. The date would be 27319. Which would be 27 of March 1919. Not fo r microwave oven or dishwasher!

This is a large beautiful bowl that measures 11" in diameter and is 3 1/2" high. It has lots of scalloping all around and inside. It is in very good condition except that it has one small hairline crack. It is difficult to see. I tried to capture it in the last photo. But I don't know if you will be able to see it. This large golden rim wash bowl is13 inches diameter x 4 inches from the bottom to top; there are some chips on the rim. Shows in the picture, no cracks, is not broken. No crazing. The pitcher is 10 inches tall and is in very good condition, no crack, no broken, no crazing, the golden rim is very good, both pieces are not too heavy, seems to be very fragile, don't know the kind of material, could be ceramic or porcelain.

Antique Gaudy Welsh Fruit Bowl circa early 1900's
Item: Early 1900's Gaudy Welsh Fruit Bowl. 7 inch diameter. This bowl is so odd looking. That it actually has its own beauty. You are sure to get comments about this antique fruit bowl. It is VERY colorful with either gold leaf or gold paint. I cannot tell either of which. I think it would make a nice planter too. But its too eye catching for that. Condition: Good Condition except the tip of one of the handles had broken off some time ago and it was glued back on. Hence the low asking price. Still. Its barely noticeble. This bowl is ready for use or display. Info: Sold as is. No returns. I really hate to see this bowl go, but I have to make room for other antiques. I've used this for get togethers with friends filling it with edibles and ALWAYS got comments on it.

CRACKS, OR CRAZING TO THIS BEAUTIFUL BOWL, SOME OF THE GOLD GUILDING IS MISSING FROM AROUND THE EDGES, AND THE RIDGE ON THE BOTTOM HAS SOME ODD RIPPLES IN IT NOT REALLY CLEAR IF IT'S DAMAGE, AGE OR SIMPLY FLAWED DURING THE MANUFACTURING PROCESS, EITHER WAY IT DOES NOT CAUSE A WOBBLE WHEN IT REST'S OR CAUSE YOU TO WORRY ABOUT DAMAGE WHERE YOU WILL BE DISPLAYING IT.
