This stunning piece was part of a larger collection of finer items that my great great aunt collected with her travelling companion in the late 1800s. This handpainted bowl measures 8 3/4" across and 3 1/2" h. Also featured are delightful scenes with eight handpainted men in traditional robes. Butterflies, East Asian tree designs and perhaps a Phoenix painted in the center of the bowl. I do know know the significance of the activity of these men but I'm open to communicating with anyone with information about this piece. Antique early 1800’s Porcelain Pink Luster Transferware Bowl. The Play Fellow Antique pink luster shallow bowl from the early 1800’s. It measures 7.5” in diameter and is 1.5” deep. The picture is of a woman or child playing with a cat. Distracting it from a nearby bird. Underneath the picture is the inscription: The Play Fellow. The rim has a pink lustre band in near perfect condition. The picture on the bowl is in black and gray and very detailed. There is a faint crack that runs through the body of the girl, and goes through to the backside. It is longer on the backside, as you can see in the picture. I see no utensil marks or loss of paint on the bowl. There is some crazing to the glaze around the edge of the picture. I doubt this bowl was ever actually used for other than display. It has a chip on the inside rim and some areas of discoloration. Black or sepia transferware porcelain was made from the mid 1700's to the late 1800's and often featured transfer designs taken from books or art. This has a clipper ship on the inside bottom which shows some wear. And three panels around the outside, a Victorian couple, 3 birds. And a pair of riders near ... morea farm, all of which are nice and dark, the body of the piece is a light cream color. Measuring 8 1/2" across. This hand thrown piece is unsigned. ~* All items are from estates and the conditions such as smoking or pets are not known. I do clean up most items to check for dirt vs. damage. Ornate Pink Bowl w/ Magnolias Gold Trim Enamel Paint Late 1800's European
This is one of two pieces we have listed in this stunningly beautiful pattern. This listing is for a large wash? bowl. It is just over 10" wide at the top and stands 3 1/2" high. It is decorated with large flowers that we believe to be magnolias. There is gold trim around the edges. There is also gold enamel paint on the outline of the pattern. It can be felt with one's finger. Also. There is a"ruffled" or"gathered" effect at the bottom of the outside of the bowl, right above the base. This can be seen in the fourth photo. This is very unusual and something we have not seen before. It adds to the beauty of the bowl. Our experience leads us to believe this was produced some time in the late 1800's. Rare 1800's Antique Art Nouveau Zsolnay Porcelain Reticulated Bowl Well Marked and Exquisite Piece featuring the Five Church Steeples mark on the bottom. There is a repair and chip on one of the pillars and a chip on the edge along with a hairline visible in the photos. These can be easily restored if desired. This is an extraordinarily rare and exquisite piece. Measures 8" in diameter without the pillars included and 9" across including them. Measures 4" high. Please look carefully at the photos as they are part of the description. The Zsolnay factory was established by Miklós Zsolnay(1800–1880) in Pécs. Hungary, to produce stoneware and other ceramics in 1853. In 1863, his son, Vilmos Zsolnay(1828–1900) joined the company and became its manager and director after several years. He led the factory to worldwide ... morerecognition by demonstrating its innovative products at world fairs and international exhibitions, including the 1873 World Fair in Vienna, then at the 1878 World Fair in Paris, where Zsolnay received a Grand Prix. The bowl is in good old condition with quite a bit of crazing and some scattered chips to the glaze. No cracks though. It measures approx. 10 1/8" wide X 4 1/2" deep.

Lovely Vintage Bowl made in Belgium. Acquired through a collector who reports this bowl is from the late 1800's. Beautiful colors and finish. I can see some minor thin cracking like crazing but does not affect the bowl use or beauty. Looks like simply from age. View the pictures. You be the judge. ANTIQUE BLACK TRANSFER WARE WASH BOWL BASIN. Inside and out is floral design bands. Rim has a slightly geometric design. Black and White. Could be English or could be American. There is impressed in the porcelain bottom before firing 4 numbers.maybe 1822. Hard to decipher. see photo I don't know the maker or the age. However, I was told 1800's and that it is a very nice example in great condition for it's age. CONDITION: Very nice. No chips. Cracks or repairs. Slight scratches in the bottom of the bowl. Also seen 3 kiln marks inside and outside bottom SIZE: see photos) 13 1/2" diameter top. 4 1/2" deep or high. 7" base diameter. If any of you know the maker and pattern. Please tell me. An Antique English Stoneware dairy separating bowl. The Creamsep, by The Doulton Pottery of Lambeth, England, c. late 1800′s– early 1900′s. A scarce, heavy& substantial piece, the front shows a black transfer printing reading: The Creamsep– The Churn Co. Hailisham, England. Used to separate the cream from the milk, the incorporated separating tube runs from nearly the bottom of the bowl to the pouring lip. The bottom has a hard to read mark known to be the impressed oval of the Doulton Co. A HEAVY 11″ in diameter. 12″ across at the lip, 4 1/4″ high. Excellent condition. Antique English Gaudy Ironstone Imari type 10" Bowl 1800's Hollinshead & Kirkham
This is an antique English Gaudy Ironstone. Hollinshead& Kirkham, Imari motif bowl in excellent condition with no chips, cracks or repairs. The bowl has had gentle use and some of the rim gold trim is worn. The bowl measures 10 1/4" in diameter and is 2 1/4" high at the outside edge of the rim. It has a slight overall cream color. The bowl has an oriental Imari motif with a pattern name MADRAS. It is opaque with the bottom showing the following marks: H&R(Hollinshead& Kirkham) Pattern name"MADRAS" and Logo. Two small blue script numbers that appears to be 1835 and a 6. The H&K logo was used from 1870 to 1900. Very light overall crazing can be seen with very close examination. This lovely covered vegetable has a design that is blue and black with gold trim. The gold trim is worn on the rim edges. It is 12" long by 5 1/2" tall.
