I have for you this evening a gorgeous piece of Nippon era porcelain made in the early days of production at the Noritake factories and from around the 1880's. This gorgeous piece was made for the domestic market and bares the"maple leaf" mark used to denote pieces for that market. The colors used on this piece were well loved by the Japanese and were most popular in that country. This piece is made of very high grade and heavy porcelain"1 pound 8 ounces unboxed" and the form is very pleasing with the open handles to each side and the beautifully shaped body on footed base. This gorgeous piece features a deep pink color as the primary on white both on the rim and in panels on the interior. The central theme is roses and they are stunningly portrayed and lavishly applied to the face and the exterior of this amazing ... morepiece by a master painter. The master guilders hands are at work on this piece as well with gilt handles and bands of gold inside as well as beading throughout. This will make a fantastic addition to your collectiom. I have for you this evening an amazing find in a large 10.75" diameter Noritake Nippon Maple leaf mark bowl made around 1880 and in Mint condition with no wear of any type that I can find. This piece is made of high grade porcelain and has been cast into a classic scalloped rim mold design. This piece has been completely hand painted with roses and has been beaded with gold. The colors on this piece show that it was made for the domestic market and not meant for export abroad. I have handled many bowls by this maker over the years but this is certainly one of the very finest I have ever seen and I am very proud indeed to be able to offer this rare and beautiful find. I have for you this evening a beautiful example of porcelain that was fired at the kilns of Noritake during the very early Nippon era around 1880. This piece is made of the very highest grade porcelain being made in Japan at the time and the mold design is classic scalloped rim with gold gilt beading. This piece was made for the domestic market and has been beautifully glazed with a stunning red and heavily accented with gold gilt. The central motif are pink roses with foliage. This pretty piece will make a truly unique and lovely addition to your collection as well as displaying beautifully no matter the setting. Item dimensions and dating: All measurements are approximate. This bowl measures 10.75" in diameter and dates from the late 19th century ... moreby the marks and design elements. Item condition report: This piece is in good antique condition with no cracks or crazing. There are two shallow slivers off the rim and one under the rim that are hard to see unless looking very closely. The colors are still fresh and the gold gilt appears to be very nearly fully intact. Blue Maple Leaf Nippon Antique Moriage Art Deco Plate 1891
This is a Blue Maple Leaf Nippon antique moriage plate circa 1891. The plate is 6 inches in diameter and the back is stamped with the blue maple leaf which was used around 1891. The plate has great springtime color flowers trimmed in moriage detail offset by a bright green art deco style chevron pattern trimmed in gold. The plate has no chips or cracks but there is some minor wear on the gold trim work in one or two spots. Free shipping is available for destinations within the continental United States.
