Antique Victorian Porcelain German Divided Bowl Dish Lobster Handle Majolica Vtg
Antique Bowl This auction is for a really nice and very well made antique porcelain double sided. Divided bowl. The bowl is covered in gold accenting but much of it has worn off over the years. The center of the bowl has a really neat lobster handle or detail and the bowl measures about 14" wide– a very large piece. The bottom is simply marked Germany and the bowl dates way back to the 1890s or earlier. In excellent condition with no damage– there is some minor roughness around the bottom where the foot was cut during manufacturing. Guaranteed old! Beautiful antique white porcelain"lobster bowl" or divided handled bowl; decorative edge. Looks like rose buds create the border 2 inches deep into the bowl; remnants of gilded decoration around the border and on the handle. Still pretty. Pink, red and yellow flowers adorn the bottom halves. No maker's mark. The base of the bowl(underside) does look like it may have been a European maker but I have no way of knowing for sure. Would make a beautiful boudoir bathroom counter dish to hold soaps. Great for a B&B or individual personal use. Measures 10 x 9 x 4.

This vintage white porcelain serving dish has a very ornate shape. A large figural gold lobster in the center. Beautiful gold designs and trim, and a slight pink hue below the border designs. It measures approximately 14 1/4" long. By 10 1/2" wide(front to back) This is from the 1800's, and is marked C.T. Germany, and is also numbered on the bottom as shown. It is in good condition with the exception of wear to the gold on the lobster. And a small nick to the end point. more so toward the under side, but can be seen a little from the top(see last two close up photos) Still a beautiful piece for use or a collection! Antique Art Nouveau Zsolnay Hungarian Porcelain Lobster and Snake Serving Dish,
This is a rare and stunning antique porcelain serving dish from the famous Zsolnay ceramic factory in Pecs. Hungry. It features a beautiful gold/green iridescent glaze to represent the ocean, with a snake wound around the rim(and waves) with a red lobster grabbing the snakes tail with it's claw as the snakes head creeps up on the lobster's tail. It is incised with the Zsolnay factory mark and form#6103. The piece is in excellent condition ~ an exceptional glaze with a beautiful luster, no chips, cracks, or hairline fractures. It measures 13 1/2 across.

I believe this would be considered a"lobster bowl" because of the shape of its handle. It has a decorative edge of roses 2 inches deep into the bowl that creates a lovely decorative border. The gold around the rim is worn with only specks remaining. Pink. Red and yellow flowers adorn the bowl. No maker's mark, however, the underside of the bowl is shaped like it may have been a European maker(determined by comparison) Measures 10 x 9 x 4.
