Lot Vintage Backplate Door Handle Old Hardware Metal Matching Pairs Group Brass
Lot of 5 vintage backplates. Including 2 sets. The first pair is 1 1/2 inches wide and 4 1/2 inches tall, brass; one of these has a locking mechanism, but it appears to be stuck-not corroded, just bent or something. The other pair is more decorative, and about 8 inches tall-one painted white, the other is not painted. The final backplate is ten(10) inches tall and three(3) inches wide. Some dirt and rust, but not too bad. When we wiped down the back of it, we saw glossy black paint. Winning bidder gets all 5 pieces. 2 vintage solid brass touch finger plates. I used some copper cleaner on a small spot on back and it almost looks like copper, but we will say brass. These are 20 inches long and 3 1/2 inches wide. Very heavy and ornate. They are in great condition. Patina intact. This is one of the vintage Farm items and Primitives recently picked up at an old Merriville Indiana estate that was being auctioned off at the site of what was Family Farm, the home was built in 1872 and many old items were stored here for years till the last family member passed at 99 years old.
