This pair of vintage rosettes came from an estate and are in good. Clean condition. I have seen them described elsewhere as Eastlake, but can't find confirmation that mine are actually Eastlake so am describing them as Eastlake-like. They measure just over 1& 3/4" in diameter. The inside opening measures 9/16" in diameter. Not only are these architectural gems, but they make lovely pendants when worn individually. These are made by Nashua Lock Co. circa 1885. Each door knob has unique ornate detailing on both the front side and the reverse side. A few small areas of green color signifying corrosion as seen in the photos. These are 2 door plates- 2 door knobs and a lock. As you can see the one plate has a nice patina& the other. as well as the lock.is just Amazing to look at. The lock turns but will need some work or fiddling with because not as solid as it should be. I am selling this as is- like I do with some other things and then if I get the chance to work on something or bring it in I do and relist different $) Also as you can see the little groove on the side/lower area of lock must have been made long ago from the patina over it. These door knobs are from the 1890's as well but I do not know the maker. They're patina just happened to match very well and the door lock set that goes with them is loaded with many coats of paint and at this point I am listing and selling with these plates. Up for bids is a great old door hardware set from an estate. The knobs are beautiful heavy bronze with a nice detailed casting. The knobs ar about 2 1/4" in diameter. The large doorplate measures 7 5/8" x 1 3/4" The bronze plate on the lockset measures about 6 3/4" x1" The mechanism works. The backplate measures 2 1/4" in diameter. A really beautiful set. An antique Victorian Eastlake brass/bronze door knob back plate made by F. C. Linde& Co. Kresskill N.J. circa 1885. White paint has been removed with some residue remaining. The plate has some bends, see photos. Plate can probably be straightened with care. Plate measures 5 1/4 inches long by 1 11/16 inches long with door handle receiver measures 5/8 inches in diameter. Antique Vtg. Victorian Eastlake Door Knob Backplate & Mortise Lock Brass/Bronze?
A nice Victorian Eastlake Door Knob Backplate with matching mortise lock. Constucted of heavy brass and iron/steel. Fashioned in a quality of workmanship that is not easily found today. All is clean with much detail. Lock plate is slightly bent most likely could be repaired with a little heat from a torch and some tweaking with a pair of large pliers. No key for the lock. Dimensions are for the backplate.5 5/16" long x 1 7/16" wide x 3/32" thick the hole for the door knob spindle to pass through is 13/32" Mortise lock.3 1/8" wide( that's from the outer edge of brass plate to outer edge of lock. The brass plate on lock is 5 1/2" long x 7/8" wide x 5/32" thick. The black lock mechanism itself is 3 9/16" long x 2 15/16" x 1/2" thick. I did in fact insert a old door knob spindle to test ... morethe latch and it works fine. Sorry I DO NOT have the key for the lock. Eastlake Style Vintage Bronze Pocket Door Pulls - A Pair
Up for sale are a pair(2) bronze pocket door pulls in the Eastlake style. They are partially turning green from oxidization but can be cleaned. There is also some paint on one of them. No attempt has been made to clean either of them. Each measures 2 15/16 inches high. 1 3/4 inches wide. The pocket is about 3/4 inch by 2 inches. The overall depth is 5/8 inches.
