This is an vintage door knob backplate for a front entrance that was purchased at an estate sale. Please see photos for details. Measures 14 3/8" long x 3 1/4" across. The larger hole is 1 3/16" diameter The smaller one is 1/2" The screw holes are 4mm I believe the building it came from was either a funeral home or church based on the information card that each piece description was on. The cards read. You are bidding on a scrolled backplate for a skeleton Key Hole; this was pulled off of an old desk drawer. Original tacks come with. This measures 6" long. The keyhole is 5/8" tall. The nail holes are 4 1/4" apart. I do not know the metal; has some rust but could be sanded and redone; sturdy. Check out my other items for auction; never the same; a real stroll through the past.
