The 5" X 5" size is next to impossible to find since they were usually only put on front doors of the house which also wore them out. They are nice and tight and not all worn out like many vintage bronze hinges. Likely cast in the late 1880's to the early 1900’s. There are a few small dents from use and a gash in one hinge. See photos. It will not effect the use of the hinge. If you put it on the lower hinge it would be hard to notice. These have a nice sharp. Clean and fancy casting. Good old vintage cast iron is stronger and harder than the new soft reproduction stuff they make in modern hinges. Likely cast in the last 1880's to the early 1900's. These have a nice sharp. Clean and fancy casting. The pattern is also on the back of the hinge and shows when the door is closed. The hinges were stripped of all the paint and wire brushed. The hinges were sprayed with clear acrylic lacquer finish made by Sherwin Williams that is specially made for cast iron and exterior applications.
