Vintage early 1900 Bronze Door Pull and Push Plate
Dimensions: 17-5/8" x 3-3/4" Weight: 7 lbs together. These items come from the University of Wisconsin and were sold as surplus. VINTAGE Door Push Plate excellent Victorian brass bronze 2 pounds
This item is an excellent example of a Victorian Door Push. 13 1/2" TALL X 3 1/2 WIDE. Solid and heavy. Looks like a French theme design with a crown on the top. There is two screw holes for mounting which may have been modified as the are not the same size. The bottom made be missing a small detail piece but the hole is filled- see all pictures. The back has a 601 stamp-not sure what this represents. The best example of a bronze door push that I have ever seen. Buyer pays $25 shipping to Canada or the U.S. do to the weight of the item. We have offered this item before. But with what we think were not very good photos. This is an attempt to improve the showing. The gothic style heavy(approx. 2 3/4 lb. bronze door plate is ready to be used with any fitting lock and doorknob. It has a light patina which we have purposely left as is since some people prefer it this way. It is approx. 14" in height, 3" in width, and stands out from the door approx. 1/2" The lock hole is approx. 4 inches from doorknob base(center to center. There are 4 holes for mounting. As can be seen, this was designed primarily as an outside escutcheon.

This is a very nice find of a true vintage Yale& Towne door back plate set with handles. I have been told that these were made in the late 1800s They measure 18" long and 2 3/4" wide. Made of very old wrought bronze with fixed entry handle and thumb lever push. Good condition could used some cleaning. These were on both sides of the door of a local drug store that closed in the 1970s. One is more worn than the other.maybe the outside door handle? Heavy shipping weight ~ 8 lbs. Grandma B's Attic Lot of 3 Door Knob Plates and 1 Door Knob with Plate Up for auction is this lot of door knob plates. The three plates look like a brass and 2 bronze. I'm not sure of the door knob and plate. These items came from an old farm house on Camano Island. WA. Vintage Bronze Brass Kick Plate Antique Architectural Door Hardware 8"W X 28"L
Another incredible antique hardware find! I was given the chance to salvage anything I wanted from a small antique barn that was going to be demolished. I went over the entire barn with a fine tooth comb. I found many fantastic treasures.including this piece! This kick plate was on a side entrance door. Above the door was one of those green& white porcelain barn lights, of course I salvaged that.it sold immediately! I estimate this kick plate to be about 55-65 years old It is made from solid brass/bronze.not the lower quality steel with a plating You will not find a more gorgeous authentic antique kick plate that has aged perfectly for 55-65 years. The patina and character on the bronze can only be created by many. Many years of exposure to the elements. The kick plate is in excellent antique condition. I used some sandpaper to remove ... morepaint that stuck to the back side of the kick plate(last photo is the back side) from the door so their some scratches on the back side, of course they will be hidden when installed on a door The kick plate lays flat and true. It is thick heavy gauge brass/bronze I will include some oval head solid brass screws 3/4" long that match the finish perfectly(see photos)I like the look how the oval heads protrude slightly I feel it adds architectural character. The existing screw holes in the kick plate are beveled/recessed. You will never find a kick plate like this in any Big Box store. I guarantee it! All the best. This was just too nice as is for me to have cleaned ... moreup so all I did was give it a hard wipe down with an oiled rag. It’s your choice to clean it up paint it or use it as is. A simple and easy to install piece that will add a touch of Victorian elegance wherever or however you use it. It has a gorgeous coppery red-brass/bronze patina. Condition is excellent. No cracks. No chips. No paint. Perfect original mounting holes. Nice keyholes. No tears, chips or rough edges. The raised ferrule has miniscule wear, but this will be covered by the doorknob. This plate is completely ready to install. This escutcheon measures 10 1/2" tall. It is 3 5/16" wide. It has a couple of tiny dents and dings. It is marked on the back Sargent& Co and has several numbers listed on the back.
