Plate and lock set(minus the square shaft that connects the knobs) One plate is 16" in length and the other 10" in length. This is a complete matching set acquired from(sadly) a Midwestern Victorian mansion that burnt. The plates are in good condition. Just to mention that there is one spot on the backside of the shorter( interior plate) see photos that is a stress spot not seen on the front side. The knobs are fabulous. I recently removed them from the front door of an old farmhouse that we purchased the salvage from as it was to be bulldozed. Each with some beautiful ornate detail, the white knob is a weighteir metal(magnet sticks) and measures about 2 1/2 inches across, the other knob I believe may be brass(magnet does not stick) also measures 2 1/2 inches across, magnet does not stick to the large back plate either, this has holes for two keys and measures 2 3/4 x 10 inches, hidden in between(I almost midded it) is a brass/ magnet does not stick) round rosette dress plate for knob, measures 2 1/2 inches across ~ last is teh lock plate, not tested, exposed edge is 6 3/4 inches in length and 1 inch across ~ these are not reproductions and show age, wear, paint and traces of rust ~ great for restoration or creative art and upcycling projects! The plates are marked Y&T 509. This highly decorated pattern should work with just about any architectural style. ANTIQUE DOOR KNOBS AND BACKPLATES What you see is what you get. The plates measure about 8 inches tall and about 2 1/4 inches wide. They are metal. As is the doorknob. This set came off the door as pictured, each piece goes with the other. The knobs have been cleaned with a wire brush and can be painted or clear coated. There may be some surface rust, etc.from storage as some of these items have been sitting for a while since they were cleaned up. This is a very nice ornate set. Likely made by Corbin Lock Co. circa 1905. It appears in the 1905 cat. as- Paris" for the style. This door set is complete with 2 knobs. One is set in the center with a key cylinder. I don't have the key, but I am sure a lock smith can make one. Otherwise, it is as found and in good working condition. The knob with the key(outside) is bronze, the escutcheons and interior knob are cast iron. The mortise is solid brass. Last patent date, March 1905, orig. patented 1886. Will fit 1 1/2" to 1 3/4" thick door.

These are 2 door plates- 2 door knobs and a lock. As you can see the one plate has a nice patina& the other. as well as the lock.is just Amazing to look at. The lock turns but will need some work or fiddling with because not as solid as it should be. I am selling this as is- like I do with some other things and then if I get the chance to work on something or bring it in I do and relist different $) Also as you can see the little groove on the side/lower area of lock must have been made long ago from the patina over it. These door knobs are from the 1890's as well but I do not know the maker. They're patina just happened to match very well and the door lock set that goes with them is loaded with many coats of paint and at this point I am listing and selling with these plates. Antique Victorian door knobs with back plates lockset and key complete
This is a complete with key lockset.Knobs and back plates door set. The back plates are 8 by 2 1/2 inches. The knobs are 2 1/4 inches across. I forgot to measure the lockset but will add that tomorrow. The one back plate must have been the exterior one it has old rust pitting but is stable and is surface only.I feel it will clean some and would look good painted over. Vintage Victorian door knobs matching back plates exquisite set
Exquisite. Beautifully cast antique Victorian oval knobs and matching back plates with lovely detail, from a demolished circa.1880's mansion located in Marietta, Ohio. Faint copper wash is still evident on some pieces and they are in good vintage condition, especially considering their age. The design is very graceful; note the fancy castings on the top of the knobs, as well as the fluting/swirls underneath the knob(last pic) making for a very pretty set. I have removed all the crud and paint from each piece so they are clean and ready to install. Plates measure 7.5" long x 2.25" wide. This auction is for 1 set consisting of 2 plates. 2 matching knobs, 1 spindle and 2 Spindle screws. I only have 4 sets left(of the original 27) these have been my best sellers.
