Estate sale purchase. Lot of 19 Vintage Mid-Century Ornate Back Plates for Cabinet Door. Drawer Knob-Pull handles. They look like antiqued brass metal and measure 3" from point-to-point and just over 2 1/2" side-to-side. Fancy scrolls with beading and open-work. On the back they are marked JB. C(copyright) 1968 and have either the number 5 or 8. They are all the same/matching. Don't know if they were ever used. Look to be in excellent condition. Backplates only. Please email any questions. 13 VINTAGE SALVAGE DRAWER PULL METAL BACK PLATES 3" CTC
My eBay name says it all.liquidators. I was an eBay seller back in 2000 and I sold to meet a financial goal. Life has a way of taking over such that when my goal was hit my inventory just sat in storage. Well. I have to admit not only did it sit but over the years I have added to it. Due to my fiancé in all likelihood having to move overseas due to work in 2015 and me tagging along I HAVE TO liquidate my inventory. And yes, I have that much that I need to start now. So, I will be listing an item auction style and if within a certain time frame it is not sold it is going to a consignment auction house. So, if you like it, get it while the getting is good. My prices will be rock bottom due to the amount of items which need to be sold. I really am trying to liquidate my inventory but I have to admit my true passion is architectural salvage ... morework. This set of 13 draw pull backplates do have a lot of surface wear. They are not signed by the maker and are just signed Taiwan making these newer vintage. Which are antique bronze plated steel measuring 7” by 2 ⅝” and held onto the door with four screws on a 6 ½” by 2 ⅛” center line distance. As seen in the photos, one of the plates has been provided with a key slot. No dings or dents, but a previous owner was sloppy with the paint brush and slopped over on to the edges of the plates. I cleaned one side of one of the plates, so I know that careful cleaning can remove the rest of the paint, but I will leave that to the next owner.
