This is a lot of 6 vintage original Victorian Door Plates. They are caste metal and appear to be brass. Five are marked Sudbury 935 Russwin and measure 7.5 inches in length. The one other appears to be pressed sheet metal and measures 8 inches in length. I think it's brass as well. All are in good condition and I think they will polish up nicely. Selling lot as is. Exquisite. Beautifully cast antique Victorian oval knobs and matching backplates with intricate detailing, from a recently demolished mansion in Marietta, Ohio, built in the 1880's, so these are old. Some copper wash is still evident on most of these and they are in very good overall condition. The design is exquisite. I have removed all the crud and paint from each piece so they are very clean. RARE Victorian Era Corbin Door Lock Set Knobs with Escutcheons
Likely made by Corbin Lock Co. circa 1905. It appears in the 1905 cat. as- Paris" for the style. This door set is complete with 2 knobs. One is set in the center with a key cylinder. I don't have the key, but I am sure a lock smith can make one. Otherwise, it is as found and in good working condition. The knob with the key(outside) is bronze, the escutcheons and interior knob are cast iron. The mortise is solid brass. Last patent date, March 1905, orig. patented 1886. Will fit 1 1/2" to 1 3/4" thick door.
