Good old vintage cast iron is stronger and harder than the new soft reproduction stuff they make in modern hinges. Likely cast in the last 1880's to the early 1900's. These have a nice sharp. Clean and fancy casting. The pattern is also on the back of the hinge and shows when the door is closed. The hinges were sprayed with clear acrylic lacquer finish. This clear finish has scratch and water resistance. They are 5" long from steeple tip to steeple tip and they are 3" wide. The pins are loose and removable. This pair of vintage rosettes came from an estate and are in good. Clean condition. I have seen them described elsewhere as Eastlake, but can't find confirmation that mine are actually Eastlake so am describing them as Eastlake-like. They measure just over 1& 3/4" in diameter. The inside opening measures 9/16" in diameter. Not only are these architectural gems, but they make lovely pendants when worn individually. The backplate is 9 3/4 inches tall. 2- 9/16 inches wide, the circle piece is 2" diameter, and the last piece is 2 3/4 tall and 1" wide. All are in good used vintage condition with some paint? Or some type of"wash" spots on them as the photos show. Some brass/copper colors are showing on some of the high relief areas but the pieces are magnetic. The 4 X 4" size is hard to find since they were usually only put on front doors of the house which also wore them out. Good olde vintage cast iron is stronger and harder than the new soft reproduction stuff they make in modern hinges. Likely cast in the late 1880's to the early 1900's. These have a nice sharp. Clean and fancy casting. The pattern is also on the back of the hinge knuckle and shows when the door is closed. The hinges were stripped of all the paint and wire brushed. The hinges were sprayed with clear acrylic lacquer finish made by Sherwin Williams that is specially made for cast iron and exterior applications. This is a better ... morefinish than a hardware store spray paint. This clear finish has superior scratch and water resistance. They are 5 1/4" long from tip to tip and they are 4" wide laying open. The pins are loose and removable. I could find no maker's mark on the set. But the backs of the keyhole plates and main plates are stamped with the number 861. They have a traditional Victorian era Eastlake style pattern with a bronze wash. The pulls measure approximately 4" tall by 2" wide. The set is in very good condition with nice patina. And most of the original wash intact. There is some light surface rust which can easily be wire brushed off. This is a set of 2 miscellaneous faceplates or door plates. They contain lots of paint and some rust. The ornate one would be very detailed if the paint were removed as seen by the reverse photo of the plate. The painted one is 8" long x 2.25 Wide. Measured on reverse from top of handle hole to bottom of key hole is 3.25" The square one is 7" x 2.25" measured on reverse from top of handle hole to bottom of key hole is 3" I have done very little cleaning on the item and will leave that up to the buyer as to not do any damage to the piece. A nice pair of Victorian Eastlake Door Lock Strike Plates with extra escutcheon. Constucted of heavy brass. Fashioned in a quality of workmanship that is not easily found today. All is clean with much detail. A few light marks here or there nothing major or distracting. Dimensions are for the strike plates.3 7/8" long x 1 3/8" wide(at widest point) x 1/8" thick. The hole for the door latch to enter is 3/4" high x 17/32" wide. The hole for the lock bolt to enter is 1 5/32" high x 17/32" wide. The escutcheon is 2 15/16" long x 1 3/4" wide x 1/16" thick.
