I have for sale a wonderful 3/4 sized JTL violin marked Medio Fino. Medio Fino were student grade instruments manufactured in France from the turn of the century through the 1930's. This violin is lined and blocked in all 4 corners and has accurately inlaid purfling. It is set up with caspari pegs. A new set of Dominant strings. The body is sound, there are no cracks, separations, or unusual warpings that I can see. It is in surprisingly good condition for its age. It is set up and ready to go! Nel 1896. Ha imparato il mestiere e ha superato la prova di Maestro Liutaio in Markneukirchen in Germania. Dopo la Grande Guerra(1914-18) è tornato in Norvegia. Per poi migrare nel 1921 a Chicago negli Stati Uniti. Ha lavorato come liutaio sia in Norvegia, sia negli Stati Uniti. Contrariamente alla tradizione della maggior parte dei costruttori di violino. La sua formazione risulta con molta probabilità tardiva, a causa del passaggio dalla Norvegia alla Germania. Una stima approssimativa potrebbe essere stata l’età di 18 anni, verso il 1914. Sarebbero serviti un minimo di 5 anni di apprendistato, portandoci così nel 1919, data che coincide con il suo ritorno in Norvegia, ma solo per un paio di anni prima di cadere nella chiamata propagandistica della cosiddetta“terra della libertà” e migrare negli Stati Uniti. Così come hanno fatto molti norvegesi, con la speranza e la promessa di una vita migliore rivelatesi poi false. Lo strumento rappresenta probabilmente il secondo esemplare costruito dal liutaio come indicato nell'etichetta originale manoscritta: Averna Enrico fecit anno 1926 Palermo 1 Settembre n° 2" Il Maestro Eric Blot di Cremona ha visto lo strumento e non ha nessun problema a rilasciare il certificato di autenticità. Il costo del certificato sarà eventualmente a carico dell'acquirente, posso garantire prima del pagamento la consegna del violino con relativo certificato. Le condizioni generali del violino sono buone ma presenta una spaccatura sul fondo che comunque finisce abbastanza lontana dall'anima(vedi foto 6) Non ci sono altri problemi.
