Antique 1700s German Antonius Stradivarius Cremona Violin Bow GSB Coffin Case Up for auction is a antique 1700's Antonius Stradivarius Cremona Violin made in Germany. I believe its a full size 4/4 but I'm not sure it measures 23 1/2" long and 8 1/4" wide at widest point. This violin has been in a family for 5 generations and believed to be from the 1700's. The inside is marked Antonius Stradivarius Cremona Germany faciebat Anno 1720 and has a A/S logo. It is made of a beautiful tiger stripe maple wood. It has a signed bridge but I cant make out exactly what it says it looks like Okeshen or Qkeshen possible that the k is an r. Absolutely beautiful sound the tuners seem to work fine some light age wear but overall in good condition for its age. In a GSB original coffin case with original paper it has some age wear shown ... morein pics. It also comes with a nice bow in also good vintage condition. Antique German Copy Stradivarius Violin This is an antique German made copy of a Stradivarius violin. This is made of beautiful tiger maple. This is marked on the scroll end'Conservatory Violin' and has a label inside'Copy of Antonius Stradiuarius Made in Germany' There is a black paper on the handle with string numbers and guides as well as a copyright date of 1894 by Mr. Mrs. Frank T. Benjamin. There is also a number 940 written in. This comes with two bows that have lovely mother of pearl inlay in the handles. The hard coffin case is lined in purple fabric with clamps for the bows and a compartment that has an original empty violin string bag by'La Excellente' This also has a bridge made of wood that is marked'Dresden Germany' on it. Used vintage Antonius Stradivarius Cremonenfis Faciebat Anno I7 violin or fiddle in overall good condition for it's age. I inherited this instrument when my father inlaw passed away in 1993 at the age of 62. It has been in a closet. In the case, unplayed ever since. It was his first instrument as a child so I would estimate it's from the 1930's assuming it was new when he obtained the instrument. The body is about 14 inches and overall length is about 24 inches. My father inlaw played this instrument through out his entire life so it does have signs of being played(some dings, scratches, wear marks, etc. It does need to be cleaned up and the fretboard stained, but it plays and sounds very good. Included is the violin, bow(In very good shape) violin rosin, hardshell case and seven(7) violin or fiddle instructional music books.

I am not sure of its age but do know it is quite old. It is in good condition. The finish has some scratches and shows wear along the edges and on the neck; all seams and joints are solid. It comes with a pasteboard case which is in good vintage condition. Also included is a bow that does need to be restrung and a shoulder pad. Violin 1/2 Erich Pfretzschner Handmade Copy Antonius Stradivarius 905603#1989 This gently used Violin is BEAUTIFUL- the body is in EXCELLENT condition with very minimal wear. If any. The color of the wood is gorgeous with a nice clear sheen. This is a numbered violin- you can see the maker and information posted on the inside of the violin. As you can see in the closeup photos one of the strings popped off- I am not sure how to re-string it myself- all of the hardware is there, it just came loose when my daughter was playing with it. It comes in a really nice hard case with compartments to store the resin(included) and other extra strings, etc. The bow has quite a few loose hairs(see collage photo) I imagine if you trimmed the loose ones it would probably still be usable- I am not an expert though. My Mother plays cello and mentioned bows ... moreare a simple thing to get restrung. There is no damage to yhe violin though other than the hairs on the bow that have come loose. The hard case does have a small area about 1" where there is a slit in the black coating- although this does not impact the strength or durability of the case in any major way. All in all this is a GREAT deal on a quality violin. We paid A LOT for this violin when my daughter took violin for one year. Label inside-Antonius Stradivarious Faciebat Cremona Violin 1713- Made in Western Germany- with a handwritten 1989 on this label and on the other label inside it is- Glaesel Shop Adjusted- handwritten 3/4 E. Then model looks like V130, date 6/89 and reg. Q5911. Violin has the strut bar missing and some knicks and scratches in the finish, the case has two busted places in it(see Pictures) The Violin measures 22 inches long and 7 3/4 at the widest point. The violin itself is actually in pretty good shape except for missing what I guess you call the fret bar(I know nothing about musical instruments) it is not split or warped anywhere. Antonius Stradivarius Model Glaesel Student Violin. With Bow and Case This is a beautifully crafted 1/4 size student violin. It was made by the Glaesel Company that got its' start in Germany and became a part of Conn-Selmer in 1977. It is a model V130. Per the Glaesel label. This violin was made in June 1995. The wood selection and finish on this one are done very nicely. The purfling and beaks are in great shape. All of its' seams are still tightly together. The sound post is up. This one is strung and ready to go. Not sure how long it has been sitting. So you might want to have new strings put on it. There are a couple places on the right side of the belly where the finish has come off. Above the right f hole and then to right and below the f hole by side over by purfling. Also. There is a chip on the left upper side of belly outside ... moreof purfling. The back is in great shape. There are no cracks or splits in the wood. All the seams are tightly glued together. There is a nice two lock hard case with a blue soft lining that comes with this violin. There is also a Glasser bow with this violin. The wood part of the bow looks good. The frog on it will need to be replaced as cracked. Bow alone goes for over $40. The normal label. Thru the left f hole says, Antonius Stradvarius faciebat Cremona 1713" Then there is a Glaesel Shop Adjusted label that can be seen thru the right f hole. It notes the model# of V130, make date of 6/95, registration# of Y6714, size of 1/4, and service of E. The violin is 18.5" long, and 6.5" wide. Purchasing this violin would be much cheaper than buying new. Or leasing or renting. Glaesel violins also meet MENC( Music Educators National Conference) standards. This belonged to my father. So i cannot tell you much about it. I am not a musician and by comparing it to others on ebay, i think it is a 3/4, but not 100% sure. It measures approximately 23.25 inches from one end to the other. And the widest part is about 8 inches. Inside the violin it is marked" Model Antonius Stradivarius Cremonensis faciebat anno 17" This violin is used and has wear and some damage. The most significant damagae i think is on the back where is a group of scratches(see Picture#9 and#10) Also there are only 3 strings. And I believe it should have 4 strings. Also the small black chin rest piece has damage to it(see Picture#5) The knob that ... moreholds the strings at one ends also appears to have some chips to it(see Picture#6) The cream colored piece that holds the strings up appears newer than the rest of the violin(see Picture#4) So i think that may not be original to the violin, but not 100% sure. Up for sale is an antique 4/4 VIOLIN bearing the following label: Antonius Stradivarius Cremonensis(2 nd line) Faciebot Anno 17(after the 17 is a hand written two-digit number for the date of manufacture. I can’t read these numbers at all) 3 rd line) Made in Germany. It is in excellent playing shape. The strings on it are not the best. And it would benefit greatly from a professional string set. The black tuning pegs are two of each. The upper pegs are slightly smaller than the lower pegs. The upper pegs also have a small inset white dot. I have tried to research this but short of paying to have this appraised. I am listing this violin as"in the school of Stradivarius" The violin measures 23 3/4 inches long. The body of the violin. From lower edge to upper edge(measuring the back) is 14 ½ inches with 8 inches across the lower ... morebell, 6 5/8 inches across the upper belly and 4 3/8 in the“waist” The Stradivarius violin was copied in France and in Germany throughout the 1800’s and into the early 1900’s. Some copies were very exact and even professionals used these violins. I have a beautiful vintage bow that is part of this violin. Bow& case lot. It is full length(29.25 inches) As I know very little about violins and bows(my husband’s collection) you will have to judge by the pictures. The violin is really very nice and sounds very nice. The back wood and side wood is flamed maple with a spruce top. Ebony end peg. Tail piece and fret board. The chin rest is Bakelite. There are some edge rubs and nicks and a repaired crack. There is a label inside that has a double line rectangle border and inside the border says: Rep by(2 nd line) W Bruggmann(3 rd line) Anno SS 1912. Having professional repairs seems to me that this was a cherished instrument and valuable enough to warrant the repair cost. The BOW is vintage and is marked only with the country Czechoslovakia. sorry no pa. sales i do not collect pa. sales tax and no international sales sorry ok here we have a recent estate sale find which i will describe to the best of my knowledge of violins which isnt much on the inside lable of the violin it says copy of antonius stradivarius made in czechoslovakia the total lenght of the violin is app. 23 5/8" the body is 14" in lenght and 8" wide at the widest point there are no strings on the bow or violin the string holder at the bottom of the violin when removed shows a hairline crack in the body as seen in the picture the wood there is very stable with no movement rock solid the overall finish of the violin looks decent with some wear nicks scratches were im pointing in the one picture at the silver metal part its stamped made in germany except for the hairline which you would not see it ... morewould be covered with the bottom string holder the violin looks pretty nice and is solid there are 2 bows the are no strings on either the longer bow is 29 1/4" long with no markings the shorter one is 23 1/2" long and is marked its very hard to read it looks like barusor or baush like i said its very hard to read the carry case is a little beat up but still latches and works as it should thanks for looking and please if you buy it pay for it right away and shipping cost include insurance thanks again

This is a nice German made cello. A copy of an Antonius Stradivarius. There is wear to the finish and a couple small breaks to some of the wood in areas(see photos) and it is missing a string, and the others are loosened, wear to the paint on the bottom of the bridge from the strings rubbing. It measures 56" long overall, so I would think a 4/4 size? There is a label inside that says"Copy of Antonius Stradivarius, Made in Germany. This was my mothers violin. She passed away and left it to me. I do not play, so I have decided to pass it on to someone who will enjoy it as much as she did. She played it from the time she was a 6 years old until she passed away last year. she was 68 years old. I do not have a great deal of knowledge about this so I have taken many pictures of it and it's case. they are in wonderful used condition. I comes with strings, tuning harp, original key, two bows, and two things of rosen. My mother last played this in an orchestra in MO. She was very proud of this! The inside of this reads made in the U.S.A. I have tried to find another and I can not find one made in the U.S.A. only other countries. I HOPE SOMEONE OUT THERE WILL ENJOY IT AS MUCH AS SHE DID. It measures 23" long and 8" wide with the body measuring 14" long. Each of the string holders is marked Germany and on the inside is written: Antonius Stradivarius Faciebat Cremona 1713- Made in Western Germany. I have made images of the the inside labels. This bid is for a vintage 4/4 size violin with the case and bow. The violin label states Model Antonius Stradivarius Cremonenfis. Faciebat Anno17, Jackson-Guldan Violin Co. Columbus Ohio. This has a figured maple back and a virtical grain spruce top. The bottom has seperated from the side which is pictured. There is a very small 1/4" crack by one F hole. Someone put some tape around the finger board, probalby for instruction purposes. All in all very restorable. The case is in good usable condition. The bow is marked H.
