THE OTHER LABEL IS A REPAIR LABEL THAT READS REPAIRED BY A M BATCHELDER 1955. THE OBVIOUS REPAIR IS TO A CRACK THAT WAS FILLED WITH A SLIVER OF WOOD AS SEEN IN THE SECOND PICTURE FROM BELOW THE F-HOLE TO UNDER THE CHIN REST. Vintage Violin Antonius Stradivarius Cremonensis Faciebat Anno 17 Model Case Bow- Vtg Old* You are bidding on the nice Vintage Antonius Stradivarius Cremonensis Violin pictured. This belonged to my father. So i cannot tell you much about it. I am not a musician and by comparing it to others on ebay, i think it is a 3/4, but not 100% sure. It measures approximately 23.25 inches from one end to the other. And the widest part is about 8 inches. Inside the violin it is marked" Model Antonius Stradivarius Cremonensis faciebat anno 17" This violin is used and has wear and some damage. The most significant damagae i think is on the back where is a group of scratches(see Picture#9 and#10) Also there are only 3 strings. And I believe it should have 4 strings. Also the small black chin rest piece has damage to it(see Picture#5) The knob that ... moreholds the strings at one ends also appears to have some chips to it(see Picture#6) The cream colored piece that holds the strings up appears newer than the rest of the violin(see Picture#4) So i think that may not be original to the violin, but not 100% sure. It includes a bow and the case. This is also a key for the case. The black case has a green felt-like inner lining. The case has a fair amount of wear also, but functions properly. You are bidding on a vintage Antonius Stradivarius Cremonensis Faciebat Anno 1714 violin. This violin appears to be in great shape for its age. There are no chips. Cracks or separations in the body of the violin. This violin comes with two bows. Both bows need to be re-strung and have beautiful Mother Of Pearl inlay. The violin also needs to be re-strung. The exterior of the case is in pretty good condition, with only a few scraps here and there along the edges(especially on the bottom) The interior of the case could use some new felt. The violin also comes with a nice red velvet protective bag to give it extra protection when being carried from one place to another. This was her husbands and according to her story he played this violin in Europe and brought it with him when he escaped the death camps in Germany and Poland. The sheet music KOL NIDREI is with this violin and the owners wife said he used to play this song constantly, not just for Yom Kippur. Even though this is stamped on the inside{ANTONIUS STRADIVARIUS CREMONENSIS FACIEBAT ANNO 1734} I have to believe it's not an original STRAD. My guess is by the amazing wood finish, the mother-of-pearl inlay on the bow, and workmanship, that it's from the 1920's. I don't know anything about violins, but this one is not cracked or chipped. I have a violin up for sale dating back to 1721. It is labeled as being an original Antonius Stradivarius Cremonensis. The entire label is in latin and reads the following: Line 1: Antonius Stradivarius Cremonensis. Line 2: Faciebat anno 1721. Line 3: Made in Czechoslovakia The violin itself is in overall decent condition. It is my belief that the model is a 1721 or maybe that's the date. This is the replica version that is manufactured under the same name but out of Germany. The violin itself sounds fantastic. But hasn't been played in many, many years. With a bit of TLC. Old Violin With Bow& Wooden Case With your winning bid you will receive this very nice piece. It is marked on it's inside Antonius Stradiuarius Cremonensis Faciebat Anno 17 And there's mark to the right of that which looks like a cross with AS below it in a circle. The violin measures approximately 24" in total length x 8 1/4" across it's widest point and the main body is about 14 1/4" long. I purchased it at an estate sale and know nothing of it's history. I am no expert. But it appears to be in very good condition with no breaks or cracks. The support dowels on the inside appear to be present and sturdy. I did show a close up of what may be and old repair at the top rear front of the main body. The bow measures about 28 5/8" long and is missing some of it's hairs. It's in pretty good condition ... moreother than a small chip on the edge of the black piece where it attaches to the bow. It doesn't affect it's function, when you turn the screw on the end, it loosens and tights the hairs as it should. I can find no maker marks on it. The case latches and closes tightly, but I have no key. It's also in very good conditon other than some expected age related wear with no breaks or cracks. Please see the photos, they describe things best. I've done my best to picture and describe everything. But if you have any additional questions, I will try to respond promptly. This violin is at least 60 years old. We don't know too much about it but it has been in the family for at least 50 years. The tag on the inside reads what is on the title of this listing. All the pieces are intact and working. It includes the original case but needs a bow. It is a beautiful color. Golden brownish. The inside of the violin reads"Tucado Antonio Stradivarius Cremonensis Faciebad Anno 1721 Made In Czechoslovakia" with a circle containing a cross over an AS. After extensive research our best clue that it was a copy is the fact that Czechoslovakia only existed by that name from October of 1913 until 1993 much later than the date on the label. On the back of the violin it reads"Conservatori* This violin is a total of 22" long making it a small adult or teen 7/8 size. The bridge is an Aubert brand. This violin has wear from use and age. Is missing a string and the bow and may need other repairs as well. The ... morecase has discoloration,wear and stains. This is a vintage Antonius Stradivarius Cremonensis Faciebat Anno 17 Violin w/case and bow. This is being sold for parts or repair. There is separation between the the top and body of the violin. It looks like someone started a restoration project and never completed it. The back is shiny like it has been refinished. There is a split in the wood of the curled part where the strings are tightened(see pictures) Also. The bow is missing the hair, and the case has some wear. I am not an expert in musical instruments. We purchased six violins at an estate sale. The owner was an avid violin player from Sweden and this was his personal collection. The third one is marked Antonius Stradivarius Cremonensis Faceiebat Anno 1721 on the inside of the Violin 4/4. It also has a lyre symbol in a circle on the right side of the name inside. It has a beautiful mother of pearl inlay of flowers on the front of the tail piece. We do not know the age of this instrument. The violin looks to be in good condition with the usual wear from use. And an early chip out on the lower right side of the violin body. We believe it to be an old chip as the patina is the same as the violin itself. The front of the body has some scratches form age and the wear the bridge came loose. Otherwise it looks to be in good condition for a violin of this age. This violin has a case with a partial ... morered velour interior where the body of the violin rests and a blue paper interior on the rest. The wooden case is in fair condition. Which i think probably has more value in its EARLY AMERICAN FOLK ART! You HAVE to see the Pics to see what i mean! From what I have read online, This appears to be a copy of a STRADIUARIUS. The label reads( Autonius Stradinarius Cremonensis Faciebat Anno 17 and in Pencil or Pen it looks like the numbers 59) It has a circle with a cross in the letters AS on the label, The label does not say copy or anything like that, just what i have just stated in the parenthasis. The story on this is that I aquired it from an elderly woman in her 80's. And her father purchased this for her when she was a child. About 10 years old. It was purchased used, with the folk art that it has on it. When she got older, ... moreshe purchased a more expensive Violin, and hung this on the Wall of her home for the last 30 yrs. The Art Work that you see on the back of the Violin, is a combination of carving, painting, mother of pearl. The design along the edge of the Violin on both the front and the back is extremely hard for me to tell if it is a PAINTED DESIGN, or and INLAY of some type of material. On each side of those hash marks that run the perimetor, there appears to be a groove indicating that it may be an Inlay, but its just to hard to tell. I believe this Violin would play if it had new strings on it, and the tail piece that the strings attach to. The Neck seems very Secure and Tight to the Body! And the Fingerboard, is Nice and tight to the neck. No separation. I did sell a very old German Upright Double Base that was made in the late 1800's, and it was a Determined that that was a German made instrument based on the scroll work on the head, being somewhat egg shaped, as opposed to being more perfectly round. Being offered is a Violin that is marked on the inside Antonius Stradivarius(looks like it is spelled Stradiuarius) Cremonensis Faciebat Anno 1736 Made in Germany on a paper label. What you see is what you get with the bridge that is marked Aubert. Then a few other little pieces that look like the pieces that tighten up the strings and 3 extra very nice wooden tuner pieces. The Black wooden case is decent with no must smell but does have some of the pieces falling out on the inside. The case is marked on the bottom(into the wood) and I cant really make it out but the seal looking stamp looks like it is B&G. The Bow is marked Germany and obviously will need to be restrung. The sound post look to be in tact and in position. The only crack I really see of any sort is a small one down at the tail fin peg and looks like it might be lifting ... morea little. Some finish wear on the back. This is 23 1/2 long and from the top of the notch it is 14 1/2 long. Thanks and good luck.

The case is in poor shape although all the latches do work. The bow have no hairs. I purchased it at an old estate sale house and know nothing of it's history. I am no expert. 4/4 Violin Antonius Stradivarius Copy Made in Germany Here for your consideration is a 4/4 size Stradivarius copy violin made in Germany around the turn of the century. This violin features a two piece flamed maple back measuring 14" long with matching flamed maple sides. The top is hand carved spruce with an open and consistent grain pattern from edge to edge. It comes with the un-labeled bow pictured and a well used modern case. Condition This violin is in good condition and needs nothing. I have included 16 pictures to help you see for yourself and make your own evaluation. The fit and finish are a great example of quality construction in a German factory violin.
