I always hate parting out an old piece unless there is no other option. ... moreI have not visually inspected each reed but I do know that they are really dirty. I have not cleaned them as I won't risk damage to any of them. I will leave that task up to the buyer. This organ had a back and a front set of reeds. If I am not mistaken the rear set is graduated from top to bottom uniformly note by note. The front set is divided. In the base I think it is an octave above and the treble being standard pitch. This is what I have found on other pump organs. I can make no guarantees but they should work fine after cleaning. Thank you for looking at my auction.

Unlike an American set of reeds from an American made pump organ, these reeds are screwed in with tiny number 1 or 2 steel screws, at both ends. The screws show a bit of rusting, but will turn out or off quite easily to replace a reed if need be. There are approximately 275+ reeds included with this auction and they are still intact to a portion of the wood housing. Your bid buys what you see in the pictures(of the portion of pump organ only) and will not be further disassembled from it's existing size of 36" long x 17" wide x 4-5" high, for shipping purposes. It's weight is or will be somewhere around 30-35lbs after packing. Philadelphia 1712 Chestnut Str. and has a store stamp from Brandon Man. 58 pieces by various composers. I am also including 2 pieces that were inside the booklet- 1902 Beirly's Popular Choir Serial- 8 pages including the covers. Though the inner piece of the left side is currently off. It is easily screwed back on. The instrument should not present too much trouble for the restoration technician if the insides are as nice as the outsides, which the appear to be from what we've seen. According to the label on the inside of the front, it passed through the Vocalion Organ Co.s Case Department. If you conduct a search for these. You will see that dealers and collectors typically offer them in the $14,000-19,000 range when restored. We believe it will be an excellent piece for restoration by the right owner. Antique Estey reed organ made in December 1904. It has been in the family since 1928 and still works. The bill of sale from 1928 and printed information for the organ are included. Also the round spinning seat. I played a few notes the other day and was shocked how good the bass notes sounded. One of the bass notes reminded me of some on Close Encounters. The movie. I think there is still some magic left in the old organ. If it doesn`t sell here, it may go to a small local church in need.

this is a suite case reed organ from the looks its from the 40s or 50s made in germany. every thing works well and sounds great I tried to show all the flaws in the picks a few small cracks in the plastic( hard to see thier nothing bad) the covering on the case is ripped the cord is spliced and missing the end cap to the plug but it plays and sounds great. it sounds alot like an acourdian since this is old its being sold as is good luck bidding

Works on the same motor-driven bellows principal as those lovable. Wacky Magnus& Emenee organs of yesterday. This is MUCH nicer with a wood rather than plastic case. I'm thinking it came from one of the Italian accordion makers. The'volume control' looks like it was a lever that attached through a hole in the front(see pics 4. 7, 8) This moves an arm that opens a vent near the motor. Offered here is a piano-cased reed organ with label of"Farrand Cabinet Grand. Detroit" Inside the back is Serial No. 12059, which indicates it was manufactured in 1887. The cabinet is in excellent condition, and the bellows and keys are in good working condition. There are levers for chording, or playing the same note in all octaves. A matching adjustable round stool with cast iron claw/ball feet. Due to size and weight. Shipping is not offered. Reed organ that worked fine 30+ years ago. Before the straps attached to the foot treadles gave out. I am not sure whether it could be repaired or what parts might be salvageable. It appears that it could be turned into a nifty keyboard stand or bookcase. Item is pick-up only. Located about 6 miles north of Hanover, NH. I can lift one end of it using the side handle without an excessive amount of effort, but cannot really estimate the weight. Pick up can be arranged for most evenings or weekends midday-afternoon.

Vintage 1871 Estey Reed Pump Cottage Organ Good Condition! Serial Number 33335
This is an antique pump/reed organ made by Estey Co. in Brattleboro VT. I have tried to figure out when this was made and have not been successful. It does have the number 5525 on the back if that means anything. I also do not know what kind of wood this is made of. But the wood itself is in excellent condition. And also has some pretty carvings, see the pictures below. The keys have yellowed over the years. This belonged to my great grandma and I hate to get rid of it but I do not have the room for it anymore. The only things I have done to this is replace the fabric on the pedals. Had new straps made for the pedals, but those have now come off and I have conditioned the wood many times over the years. It does work when the straps were in place but I am sure it needs to be tuned. Measurements are: 46" wide, 22" in depth and 38-1/2" ... moretall. Here we have a wonderful restored piano-cased reed organ that one does not find in this excellent condition! Seller. Organique-antiques, a division of eBay DAVOSALES located in Altona, Illinois has restored this impressively sounding reed organ both inside and out so that looks and sounds like it would have been leaving the Chicago factory in the late 1890's or very early 1900's. One can determine a date of mnfr by checking the serial number inside and then going to the Reed Organ Society website. This organ has been taken completely apart and seller has the photos to show the large amount of work that was done on it over many months period! Some of the many things done which are too many to list on the iPhone but will be added later: Complete redoing of the extra large reservoir(bellows) which are MUCH larger than parlor organ ones. ... moreAlso done was total cleaning inside of dirt and debris that accumulates in old pianos and organs. New felt. Leather, bellows cloth, reservoir hinges,and more work done on the long keyboard which contains many more reeds from long bass reeds up to tiny treble reeds. All the reeds were each cleaned and checked to play properly. Many mechanical parts had to be taken apart, cleaned, and tested to be working properly including knee swell levers under the keyboard which increase the volume(and also add a set of reeds) when activated! This is a genuine American antique! However. If we can't find a new home for it, it will be destroyed. It is a Story and Clark foot-pump reed organ of the Victorian era. In a building built in 1883 that was used as a grange hall and community social center, and has been our community theater home since 1975. Story and Clark made good-quality organs. SALE! Just reduced to $999 from $1.300 Rare Antique Jewett& Goodman Reed Melodeon/Pump Organ- 1860s Made in Cleveland. Ohio Details about the Organ for sale: This organ was made by Jewett and Goodman. Based out of Cleveland, Ohio and was a model they carried in the 1860s. They were a well respected manufacture of an exquisite line of line of melodeon and reed organs and stopped production in the 1890s. This particular model is what is known as a walk-around model. A walk-around model had a fold-down top serving as a large console table when closed and the rear panel of the case is finished and designed to be seen as a finished piece of furniture. Almost all pump organs of the mid-to late- 19 th century were made from lesser grade wood on the back and were meant to be pushed up against a wall. This organ was built to be a centerpiece of ... morea formal music parlor or drawing room. This was a greatly prized showcase instrument as opposed to the more common manufactured by the likes of Estey. Morgan, Mason or Cornish. From the original manufacturer’s description the unusual case design was made of solid planks of rosewood(I had to verify that against some on line samples as more modern rosewood seems much darker with more black accents) The organ has four stop that add bass depth rank to the original register when all four stops are engaged. We performed a full restoration of the finish and repaired any dings you would expect a piece of furniture built in the 1860's to have run into over the years. The pumps and reeds have recently been restored by the previous owner and we performed a good deal of performance measures(fancy words for sitting down and playing) It is in tune and we only found that only one of the reeds in the upper register for the second stop does not resonate consistently. Tewksbury & Carpenter. Antique Reed/ PUMP Organ -Restored & Playing! Celestial!
Here we have a lovingly restored Tewksbury& Carpenter of Mendota Illinois. Reed or pump organ from the 1870's era made of black walnut probably from lumber cut in the area. The organ has been in seller's possession since 1969 when bought in Peoria. Illinois and is one of the first organ obtained what turned out to be a long organ collecting and repairing odyssey. Organique-Antiques started out around 1956 by the seller's father and seller at Ludington. Michigan. The business was known as The Organique until seller took over the business after 1971. This organ was restore by an expert co-worker from Metamora who did everything that needed to be done. The walnut was already refinished when seller bought the organ. Things redone include new bellows cloth on the reservoir and exhausters. Complete redoing of leather, felt and necessary ... morewood/medal pieces that had been moth/mouse eaten and wood pieces that had gotten lost or broken. Everything inside was taken apart and cleaned to perfection. Original ivories were retained to keep in character with the antiqueness of the organ New pedal rug material was put on as well as new straps connecting the pumpers to the foot treadles. All the brass medal reeds were removed and cleaned with reed organ solutions and the reed cells were all cleaned and checked as well. Nothing was omitted in repair by the master craftsman and since the man is retired. No more organs will ever be repaired. Antique reed organ restorers are a dying breed and there are so few people to take up the cause! Unfortunately that is the case. Every key works on this historic pedal operated musical instrument. The solid quarter sawn oak case has its original finish which is very well preserved. This parlor organ plays well with strong tone, a few keys do not work, probably from dust in the reeds. Enchanting incised"spoon" or chip carving is characteristic of the period. TWO AND A HALF OCTAVE LARGE BASS REEDS FOR REED ORGAN MAYBE VOCALION
Two and a half octaves of bass or sub bass reeds. I don't know what kind of organ these reeds came from but it might have been a Vocalion. The lowest. Longest reed is C and the highest, shortest is an F. The longest reed is 6 11/16" long by 1 3/4" wide. The shortest reed is 4" long by 1 3/8" wide. I can't say they work but they look like they will. Niles Bryant Wood Reed Pump Organ Piano Tuner Wood Block Sound Holes
Ok. All you piano and pipe organ tuners don’t beat us up too bad if this is titled incorrectly, what we have here, or what I believe we have here is an old piano/pump/reed organ tuner. This wood block measures 19 inches in length and is 4 inches tall. The depth at one end is 3 ¾ inches and it tapers to 2 ¾ inches. There are multiple holes in this tool( Each with a corresponding different note when blown through. The notes that each hole’s sound corresponds to is labeled on the front. This came in a box with a label from the Niles Bryant School of Piano Tuning and Techniques so I assume this is a tool or instrument to help one accomplish the tuning process. Overall looks good. Antique early 1900's Kimball Reed Organ with book and stool.
I am selling an antique Kimball of Chicago Pump Reed Organ. The organ is in excellent shape. However it will need to have the bellows fixed, as the straps have come loose. This organ has the original music book, and stool included. It has been in my family since 1905 or 1906. My mother refinished the piece in the 1980's. It is Oak. Serial number on the back is S01 34666S. Local pick up only. located less than 10 miles south of Indianapolis.

Antique Civil War Era Melodeon Reed Organ - Collapsible and portable? Bone Keys
Hello, Up for auction is probably a civil war era melodeon reed organ. This doesn't work. the bellows are rotted and its missing its foot pedal assembly. The keys are also disheveled, and there are scratches, marks, nicks, damaged spots, the wood stain in the wood seems to maybe have had water on it, and the cross brace on the bottom has a broken spot, etc(besides other problems that I may not have mentioned) This is probably a portable model used by a Church or traveling Evangelist. Its small enough that I think I can probably ship it via UPS by disassembling the legs. If you're in Michigan it'll probably be easier to pick up. Buyer pays for all shipping.
