The rack and pinion mechanism is stuck and the drawertube doesn't move up and down. There are no cracks or chips to the single sided mirror and it has retained much of its' silvering. There are six lenses, these are numbered 1-6 and I can't see any crack to the glass elements of these. There are also stage forceps, although the end is broken and a live well. The lid to the case has been repaired along the back at some point, this feels sturdy. The intenal drawer is missing.

The frame of the drum inside is wood and has extra thin pieces of wood around the top and bottom for support. There are a couple cracks in the outside material. There are iron hooks around the drum and some of them has a metal piece around it. The top measures 14" across the top and the sides are 12 1/2" tall. Stunning estate sale find! The previous owner was in his 90s and had traveled all over the world. For your consideration. We have this tall vintage wood carved drum from Haiti. Upon doing a little research. I found out a few things: drums like this were made in West Africa and SHIPPED to Haiti back in the 1940s and 50s or so(my friend who lived in Haiti told me this) timeframe/ age of drum is just a guess these types of drums are very rare and collectible and typically go for about $300 here on eBay and MUCH more on 1stdibs most likely carved from one piece of palm tree trunk The measurements are about 30 inches tall. And the diameter of the top of the drum is about 8 inches. The drum is hollow. If you flip it upside down, it is an open circle. The design is lovely: it spells out"Haiti" and there is a house/ hut and a palm tree. ... moreThe top is I believe cow hide. Looks like there are supposed to be 5 wood sticks around the top. But there are only 2. One is fixed, and the other is removeable to play the drum with. This does not affect the usage of the drum, the leather top is on there very tight. Acquired from an estate and selling with no reserve. This listing is for an antique 14" Wood Snare? Drum. 14" diameter x 4-3/8" Wood construction with eight screw downs. On one side the skin has an old repair with tape, the other side skin has come loose with a tear. The wood has a nice old petina, in good condition with some alligatoring to the finish and some small cracks in the center piece. The part that locks down the wires is marked Pat. Jan. 25, 27. SquareTrade © AP6.0 This is a wooden drum with a skin type of head with fur still attached. The head is not flat or tight but rather stretched. So it is concaved somewhat. There are great signs of wear on the wooden sides, and i see one crack. Doesn't go all the way from top to bottom, and I see afew smaller ones. So, maybe this is a drum that has served it owners well, and has been played many years. I'm not sure if it's more of a collectible now, in a condition for display, or better to be played. No splits in the head, and the reeds or ropes that hold the head on are well intact, nothing torn broken or missing. 18 inches height, measures 16 1/2 around the top. Antique Zildjian Heavy Crash CYMBAL Constantinople SIGNED 13" Drum Collector?
UP for Bid ~ Antique Zildjian Heavy Crash Cymbal Top- today this would be called a hi-hat. But these were not called this when this one was made. This cymbal came from an estate in MD. The son of the owner used this to play in his band in the 60’s. I don’t know where he got it. But after researching it and talking to a lifelong drummer. I'm confident to say it’s an original OLD signed Zildjian. Here’s some info: The Zildjian Company moved from manufacturing noisemakers to frighten the enemies of the Ottoman Empire to musical instruments in the 19th century. In 1908 Avedis Zildjian III migrated to Boston. While Kerope Zilcan continued to make cymbals in Turkey under the K. Zildjian Constantinople name. In 1923, the Turkish Republic was established and the name of Constantinople was officially changed to Istanbul, resulting in the change ... moreof the company’s name from K. Zildjian Constantinople to K. Zildjian Istanbul. Around 1926, Aram Zildjian signed an exclusive American distribution agreement for K. Zildjian cymbals with Fred Gretsch Co. If you'd like to do more research. Here's a good link: The stamp on the top side has some Arabic/Turkish markings, K Zildjian& Cie Constantinople. The rest of the stamp is hard to read– either an E or F MARK. This 13 inch thick cymbal was made in Turkey pre 1923 and is signed by Zildjian in the center of the bottom side. The signature is identifiable. But a bit worn away. See pictures There is definitely some keyholing. So that part of condition is not great, and it’s probably never been cleaned, also a few minor dings to edges. Weighs 2 lbs. 10 oz. I know nothing of this? I do know it is not new! Just how old is anyone's guess. The base is a light gauge metal with an animal skin tightly stretched across the opening forming a very cool and primitive drum. That sounds great! Rawhide dresses the sides for a design and holds the top skin in place. Hammered pins hold the metal sides together. I fantastic condition, no damage to the top skin or side walls. Don't know the origin either, could be Continental, African or American. Just a great piece of folk art! Almost 8" tall and 10" wide. Also have an antique wood drum listed. Up for auction is an antique vintage snare drum recently found in auction in the Lancaster County area. It is offered in as found condition. There is a hole on both sides. Best seen in photos 4 5. THis piece appears to be in the 1920's. It features nautical and air themes in the graphics are sea planes, blimps, sail boats, and shipton one side the second is black except for the symbol, best seen in photos 7 8. It measures approximately 10 7/8" in diameter and 4 1/4" wide. It could benefit from a good cleaning. THere are some water stains on both sides. THe wood on the side is blue red yellow and white. Antique Native American Painted Wood and Hide Pueblo Drum - 1920's
An Antique Native American Painted Wood and Hide Pueblo Drum. CA 1920's. Approximately 6" high and with a diameter of a bit over 7" Overall weight is about 1 pound. Painted Wood Core with Hide top and bottom surfaces, all of which appear to be original. There is one small area of hide strapping loss and one 1/4" hole to the hide surface on the top cover. Both areas of which may be seen in the photos. The Drum has been examined by a Reputable Denver area dealer in Native American Art and he believes this to be an authentic Early Pueblo Drum, dating to the 20's. The Drum has not had any restoration but has had its bottom hide surface repositioned at some point in the past, also as may be seen in the photos. A Very Nice Early and Original Pueblo Drum.

Antique Soft Paste Childs Plate"Boy With Broken Drum" 1810-1840 England Rare This is a charming and rare antique childs plate in soft paste. With a black and white transfer in the center of a boy with his broken drum.The transfer was imperfect when it was done as the title, Boy with broken Drum, is almost obscured in two areas. The border is embossed with flowers which were hand painted. There is some very minor flaking on the edges in two spots, fine overall crazing, some loss of glaze on the edge of the rim, and no cracks or chips. There are a few light utensil scratches.The plate is 8 1/4" in diameter. While I am not an expert, I believe the plate is English Staffordshire circa 1810-1840. If anyone knows better, please let me know. Please ask questions if I have missed anything. This plate is approximately 200 years old ... moreand is in remarkably good condition for its age. My items come from estate sales and therefore show signs of previous use. The items will not look like new unless described otherwise. I do not sell fakes.
