Luthier N 8112(2or4? an 1951 maker signature We have been so fortunate to have this beautiful hand craft 4/4 FULL SIZE(length 23 1/2) FERENCH violin labeled ALBERT DEBLAYE was from an old violin and viola luthier house collection. This violin was with other violins as you see in my feedbacks that been sold. Which we bought along with many other things from the house. About this violin: It seems like the top plate was repaired before. There is 4 repaired cracks on top plate as I see(2 on the top plate/ on the left f hole and looks like repaired long time ago and I don’t see open seem, 2very small hair line cracks by the right f hole which look like repaired and I don’t see open seem(=almost invisible) please look at my pictures see in my pictures. There is one small chips on the scroll and one on the corner ... moreof top plate on the lower right as you see in my pictures. I do not see any open crack or open seem! The neck is in good condition and attached to the violin body. The sound post is still intact inside as you see in my pictures from the right f hole. though I do not guarantee that once you receive the violin. That the sound post will remain in the same right place.it might move or fall down during shipment. The violin is old and has some normal scraches due to its age. It comes with the ALBERT DEBLAY certification and also the signature is on the label and certification as you see in my pictures. It also comes with a full size Stamped bow(L.M) in great condition. Light, and straight, with crack and repair FREE. It comes with an original old case that the violin. Bow, and certification were belong to and also is good for the shipping protection. Elegant European Violin Bow, stamped "Bausch", size 4/4
U p for auction is this intriguing German 4/4 size violin bow. In very good condition, stamped"BAUSCH" The length is 29" and there are no cracks or repairs. The round stick has a lovely rich. Golden brown finish, appears to be pernambuco. And is flexible and lively. There is a slight warp in the stick(see photo) that can be re-cambered if needed. There is a thin band of caked rosin that runs along the surface of the stick. An indication of a well-used(and probably well-liked) bow. The tip is in excellent condition. The lower portion of the tip plate has some splits but is not loose(see photo) The bow needs to be re-haired, and will make a fine advanced student or professional musician's bow. Ludwig Bausch(1805-1871) and his sons Ludwig Jr. and Otto were a family dynasty of fine German bow makers. I found this quote that ... morerelates to bows stamped"Bausch" From the turn of the century(1900) until now. Thousands of cheap bows branded with the Bausch name were exported from Germany and sold throughout the world. Genuine Bausch bows, once plentiful, are now scarce and these vary from commercial grade bows to bows of exceptional beauty. Kenway Lee 1994 I s this a genuine Bausch bow? Probably not. But I don't know. It is a bow that is exceptionally beautiful to look at, and the tip is very finely and elegantly carved. If it is"factory" made, it is well constructed. A ntique 4/4 size vi olin bow. In good condition. There is a stamp near the frog that reads" BAUSCH MODL. E.MARTIN SACHSEN" Length is 29" and there are no cracks or repairs. Nice round stick. With a slight bend(see photo) that may need correcting. The stick has a deep, dark reddish-brown finish, unblemished and is elastic and flexible. The stick appears to be pernambuco but don't know for sure and the grain appears tight(see tip photos) Ernst Martin lived and worked in Saxony in the early 1900s. The tip is intact and in excellent condition but the tip plate is missing. The bow needs hair and binding. The ebony frog is clean and sturdy with no missing parts. Overall. A very good German violin bow stamped Gotthard Schuster
Gotthard Schuster(b. 1903) initially studied bowmaking under Emanuel Schuster in Shönbach. In 1928 he passed his Master Craftsman examination and in 1928 opened his own workshop. In the same town. He moved to Bubenreuth in 1946. This particular bow has truly extraordinary playing properties- exceptionally good articulation and response to subtlety. Greatly aided by a very firm stick that allows for pressure and big tone. All professional violinists who have tried this bow have commented on the ease of execution it allows to the most difficult passages. This bow would be an asset to a demanding violinist. Hello, Listed for auction is a 4/4 size violin bow bearing a maker's stamp. The stamp can be seen just above the frog and before the sterling screw; it reads D. Wenzel David Wenzel is a well documented Bowmaker known for the quality of his materials and his craftsmanship; came to prominence 1930- Germany. The sterling screw spins smoothly and effortlessly. I can certify that the button is silver. A luthier confirmed that the tongue on the frog is also sterling silver. The dark chocolate colored stick has been freshly re-haired and is very supple with professional action from frog to tip. As you can see in the photos. The ebony frog is inlaid with a unique pearl decoration. It appears to be a large eye. Centered by a cross, perhaps suggesting some religious significance. The bow is finished with a faux whalebone lapping. And what appears ... moreto be very nice lizard leather. The bow is quite old and shows obvious signs of professional use. It is ready to play. Hi. Up for auction is a Fine Vintage Antique Signed Violin Bow Marked/Stamped DODD. I know nothing on Bows/Instruments. I have not cleaned the bow and looks to be in good condition I believe the Frog is ebony and is inlaid with mother of pearl. I am not sure what wood the bow is made out of I believe any metal on here is silver but i would hate to scratch into it to test it. It is around 67 CM long or 26 inches. Vintage "Vuillaume A Paris" ? Stamped Violin bow. 29 Inches. Antique.
Vintage or antique violin bow and extra part. Bow appears to be stamped"Vuillaume A Paris. It is a worn stamp but"Paris" is clearly stamped at the end. See my photos and determine for yourself. Bow measures about 29 inches long. There is a groove in the wood in which the frog fits. The small octagonal metal piece on the end of the adjustment know is missing. There is a tiny chip at the tip of the bow. The bone insert on the bottom of the frog does not fit all the way to the metal piece on the end- there is a small piece of wood in the gap- and the metal piece on the end has a small round hole in it. There is also a small worn spot on the right side of the end of the bow. Bone piece on the bottom of the tip is missing some of the surface. Bow needs to be re-haired. Bow has a dark old finish. Old violin bow stamped "A Vigneron A Paris " at handle
This is a very nice old violin bow that was recently found with a violin in a case. The violin was very broken but the bow looks interesting. It is stamped" A VIGNERON A PARIS" upside down at the handle part of the stick. The stick. I am told, is" pernambucu wood" and octagonal in section. The bow is a bit worn but NO BREAKS ON THE STICK. GUARANTEED The metal parts are silver and the grip plain leather. The overall length is 74.5 cm. The weight is 59 grams on the local post office scales. I understand that if"A Vigneron" is the maker it could be valuable! I have no way of telling. It is supposed to be a good playing bow, being strong and straight with genuine horse hair. It will be posted in a strong plastic tube protected at either end. No chance of breakage.

Vintage 4/4 Violin Bow stamped with maker & country
Antique German violin bow. In very good condition, length is 29 3/8" Round stick. Unblemished medium red-brown finish, has no cracks or splits. The stick is straight. The end of the stick had a small split which has been neatly repaired. Glued, and capped with an octagonal metal repair ring(see photo) The bow is stamped"GERMANY" at the end near the twister. And there is a maker's stamp that reads"FRED. but it's faint and I can't read the whole name. The ebony frog is in excellent condition. Very attractive. The previous owner of this bow must have kept time by tapping the end of the bow on the music stand or something.
