I have not cleaned them as I won't risk damage to any of them. I will leave that task up to the buyer. This organ had a back and a front set of reeds. If I am not mistaken the rear set is graduated from top to bottom uniformly note by note. The front set is divided. In the base I think it is an octave above and the treble being standard pitch. Unlike an American set of reeds from an American made pump organ, these reeds are screwed in with tiny number 1 or 2 steel screws, at both ends. The screws show a bit of rusting, but will turn out or off quite easily to replace a reed if need be. There are approximately 275+ reeds included with this auction and they are still intact to a portion of the wood housing. Your bid buys what you see in the pictures(of the portion of pump organ only) and will not be further disassembled from it's existing size of 36" long x 17" wide x 4-5" high, for shipping purposes. It's weight is or will be somewhere around 30-35lbs after packing. If you are in need of a pump organ reed, perhaps a little different than what you are use to, here's your chance to own something a little different than usual. At least one reed, that I noticed is broken, as has been taped, I'm guessing so that it did not vibrate beyond control while the instrument was being played. Shipping and insurance. Period: Late Nineteenth/ Early Twentieth Century Provenance: Unknown Date: c.1890-1900 Width: 43 inches Depth: 20 inches Height: 47 inches Of generous proportions. The figured solid walnut pedal pump organ by the Estey Organ Company of Brattleboro, Vermont USA, standing on the original castors with decorative galleried back and greek key detailing, the centre now housing two shelves acting as a bookcase, the flip up top opening to reveal the organ keys with gilt painted makers name and 36 white keys, and 25 black keys. The colour of the walnut is superb and the condition largely excellent with the lower shelf covered in green velvet. The internals of the organ have obviously all been removed but the pumps remain for decorative effect. Bookcases were first introduced in the 15th century and with few changes along the way to their design. The history of bookcases is indeed a simple and short affair. What cannot be argued with however is that books are as still supremely valued today as they were in the time of the Tudors but whether an organ has ever held books so competently is somewhat open to debate. Magnificent antique Cornish & Co. (Washington, NJ) oak pump organ from 1880s
This beauty and I have a long and loving history. As I am the SECOND owner of this piece in approximately 135 years! While on a drive from California to Colorado in the mid-60s, I discovered it in an closed church, purchased it, and had it fully restored. It has adorned my home for the last five decades. Working perfectly. It is operated by alternately pumping the foot pedals. Sustaining is accomplished by pushing the wooden knee-paddles to the side. It is quite small: only 42" wide. 22-1/2" deep, and 43-1/2" in height. Although I am listing it for local pickup. It can be shipped by truck. Use the dimensions above to request estimates from trucking firms, and I will wrap it with furniture blankets and protective plastic for the journey. It amazingly all folds into a 12 x 13 x 32" oak self contained wood box. This organ has 29 white keys and 20 black keys. The bellows appear to be all original& in fair condition. The organ does work when pumped. But it takes a bit of pumping so it seems some air must be leaking from the bellows. Original Estey lettering on the inside keyboard cover says"Estey Organ Co. Brattleboro Vt USA" This organ has wonderful quality dovetail construction. This organ was lovingly used by the chaplain. ANTIQUE 19TH C. PUMP ORGAN SOLID BRASS REEDS
Up for bid is a portion of an antique. Late 19th century French pump organ. It is about all that is left from the pump organ, except maybe the case, which was made almost entirely of Rosewood. This piece however consists of the solid brass reeds. Unlike an American set of reeds from an American made pump organ, these reeds are screwed in with tiny number 1 or 2 steel screws, at both ends. The screws show a bit of rusting, but will turn out or off quite easily to replace a reed if need be. There are approximately 275+ reeds included with this auction and they are still intact to a portion of the wood housing. Your bid buys what you see in the pictures(of the portion of pump organ only) and will not be further disassembled from it's existing size of 36" long x 17" wide x 4-5" high, for shipping purposes. This is an Antique Pedal Pump Organ also known as a Parlor Organ from the late 1800s made by the Clough& Warren Company in Detroit. Michigan. It's a functioning musical instrument as well as an Antique and conversation piece. It requires manual pumping of the pedals to fill the bellows with air, which powers the sound. This is a Clough and Warren(Detroit Organ Company) Parlor Organ. Made in 1886. It was fully functional a couple months ago. Since it has been sitting in my living room. It now needs a bellows strap, the bellows need sealed, and a few of the wooden pins that make the stops work will need replaced. The wood is beautiful, all of the keys function perfectly, and all in all this thing is just really cool. The sound is amazing! For someone that would want to put some time into it, these pump organs are actually very mechanically simple and easy to refurbish yourself. SALE! Just reduced to $999 from $1.300 Rare Antique Jewett& Goodman Reed Melodeon/Pump Organ- 1860s Made in Cleveland. Ohio Details about the Organ for sale: This organ was made by Jewett and Goodman. Based out of Cleveland, Ohio and was a model they carried in the 1860s. They were a well respected manufacture of an exquisite line of line of melodeon and reed organs and stopped production in the 1890s. This particular model is what is known as a walk-around model. A walk-around model had a fold-down top serving as a large console table when closed and the rear panel of the case is finished and designed to be seen as a finished piece of furniture. Almost all pump organs of the mid-to late- 19 th century were made from lesser grade wood on the back and were meant to be pushed up against a wall. This organ was built to be a centerpiece of ... morea formal music parlor or drawing room. This was a greatly prized showcase instrument as opposed to the more common manufactured by the likes of Estey. Morgan, Mason or Cornish. From the original manufacturer’s description the unusual case design was made of solid planks of rosewood(I had to verify that against some on line samples as more modern rosewood seems much darker with more black accents) The organ has four stop that add bass depth rank to the original register when all four stops are engaged. We performed a full restoration of the finish and repaired any dings you would expect a piece of furniture built in the 1860's to have run into over the years. The pumps and reeds have recently been restored by the previous owner and we performed a good deal of performance measures(fancy words for sitting down and playing) It is in tune and we only found that only one of the reeds in the upper register for the second stop does not resonate consistently. Tewksbury & Carpenter. Antique Reed/ PUMP Organ -Restored & Playing! Celestial!
Here we have a lovingly restored Tewksbury& Carpenter of Mendota Illinois. Reed or pump organ from the 1870's era made of black walnut probably from lumber cut in the area. The organ has been in seller's possession since 1969 when bought in Peoria. Illinois and is one of the first organ obtained what turned out to be a long organ collecting and repairing odyssey. Organique-Antiques started out around 1956 by the seller's father and seller at Ludington. Michigan. The business was known as The Organique until seller took over the business after 1971. This organ was restore by an expert co-worker from Metamora who did everything that needed to be done. The walnut was already refinished when seller bought the organ. Things redone include new bellows cloth on the reservoir and exhausters. Complete redoing of leather, felt and necessary ... morewood/medal pieces that had been moth/mouse eaten and wood pieces that had gotten lost or broken. Everything inside was taken apart and cleaned to perfection. Original ivories were retained to keep in character with the antiqueness of the organ New pedal rug material was put on as well as new straps connecting the pumpers to the foot treadles. All the brass medal reeds were removed and cleaned with reed organ solutions and the reed cells were all cleaned and checked as well. Nothing was omitted in repair by the master craftsman and since the man is retired. No more organs will ever be repaired. Antique reed organ restorers are a dying breed and there are so few people to take up the cause! Unfortunately that is the case. The internals of the organ have obviously all been removed but the pumps remain for decorative effect. Bookcases were first introduced in the 15th century and with few changes along the way to their design. The history of bookcases is indeed a simple and short affair. What cannot be argued with however is that books are as still supremely valued today as they were in the time of the Tudors but whether an organ has ever held books so competently is somewhat open to debate. For over 100 years. The Estey Organ Company manufactured organs large and small in Brattleboro, VT. Jacob Estey founded the Estey Organ Company in 1846 in Brattleboro, Vermont. Estey could sense a change in the American people, and was anticipating a shift towards a more music-centric society. When the company was first started, they specialized only in reed organs until 1901, when they hired a new organ builder and opened up a pipe organ branch. Antique Rosewood Portable Melodeon Pump Organ Case in Great Condition Bellows Works Here is a great old portable pump organ for your buying consideration. I recently acquired it at a local auction. The organ has a nice rosewood case on it that the finish is still mostly intact on. I see no cracks or splits in the case. All the keys seem to still be hooked up. The bellows does generate enough air to produce sounds when the keys are depressed. I did not attempt to hook the rods up to the floor pedals. Amazingly. The music holder is still on this organ. The one side was repaired at one time where cracked and done well. The key is even with the organ to lock the door over the keyboard. Organ keys look good, no cracks, splits or missing pieces. The one thing I see to report is that the black material or paint applied to the bellows is flaking ... moreoff. Not sure if that is an issue or not. Per the tag inside the instrument. It was at one time in New England. My guess is that the organ was made sometime between the 1850s to early 1920s, but that is just my guess, you be the judge as to how old this organ is. There also was no maker mark or tag on the organ. It might be a Mason& Hamlin out of Boston, MA or a Prince& Co. from Buffalo, NY. You be the judge as to maker and when made. Any help in identifying the actual maker and to narrow the date of manufacture would be appreciated to provide interested eBuyers with the most accurate information as possible. This musical instrument is not represented to be in playing condition. With an old musical instrument like this. Antique 1883 Wilcox & White Pump Organ ( March 27 1883 ) ( ONE OF A KIND )
Here up for auction is one of my most awesome finds here in our Great Smokey Mountains. Here is a 1883 chestnut pump organ made by Wilcox& White. These one's are rare and not many left in the world. It does work but will need new bellows and some TLC. It is all original and will be kept that way. I was wanting to refinish it but that takes all the value out so I will be leaving it the way I found it. These pump organs were made by the Wilcox& white company here in the USA between 1887 and 1910 and used in brothels and saloons before radio and televisions. Later used in churches and parlors. This one is numbered and tagged inside with it's Mgr. number and dated inside at March 27. 1883. That's 120 years old next month! It has a few chips in the wood here and there and a couple keys have the ends chipped but no major cracks ... moreor pieces missing. Just check out the pictures.I had a pro in the field of these older style organs check it out and was told this was a gem that could be fixed to play right in no time and at a low price. I just don't want to do much work on it and take any value out of it since it is so old. Restored to the original condition this will be valued at way way more than the asking price. This working foot pump organ features a single 61 key keyboard with 11 stops. There are two knee paddle controls indicating Grand Organ and Knee Swell. The keyboard front shows the words Wilcox& White Organ Co on the left hand side and Meriden. Conn. U.S.A. on the right side in an ornate gold lettering style. The organ is 48” wide which includes 3” handles on each side. It is 24” deep and 43” high. The ornate top is. 42” wide, and 16” deep and 35” high, bringing the overall height to 78” tall. The top consists of a closed storage space in the middle for music books. And two tiers of shelves. Up for bid is this nice antique. Black painted, piano or pump organ stool, with glass ball and claw feet. While there is a crack under the seat, the stool is structurally sound, so much that it takes my weight of 280lbs and still spins with ease. Sure it could use some glue and a few clamps, but if you didn't have to and it still works regardless, why would you bother. The stool stands approximately 17-18" high. It could be stripped down to reveal the original finish as well as the actual wood, species unknown. A nice piece as a project or just the way it is. Antique 1895 Estey Pump Organ- Made in Vermont This an antique ESTEY organ made in Vermont. USA. It is a 1895 year model and is in very good relative cosmetic condition. It does not currently play due to air leaks and needs reconditioning and service. It appears the upper and lower grill clothes have been replaced and their is carpet fabric also in orange color on the foot pedals. Two of the draw bar knobs are broken off and a key on the register is missing ivory. The two candle holders are in excellent shape and this is a nice looking organ for display or repair. This is an ornate antique Victorian adjustable piano/ organ/ harp stool. The stool is in great condition and has been restored. Re-glued and reinforced. It is made of solid maple that is stained walnut. It has metal claw and clear glass ball feet. The glass balls are not cracked and the legs and base are ornately turned. What appears to be the original seat has been covered with padding and vintage toile floral cloth. The cloth is not ripped or torn. The metal support plate attaching the seat to the adjustment screw has been placed with a 5-1/2" x 5-1/2" x 1/4" steel plate to provide ultimate reinforcement. There is some light wear and scratches from use on the wood. The seat is adjustable in height and has a large steel screw and shaft in the center which works pefectly. Antique Jewett and Goodman Pump Organ Unfortuneately. We no longer have room for this lovely pump organ. I purchased this organ about 30 years ago. At the time it played well and sounded good, no bad notes. You had to pump the foot pedals fairly hard because the bellows were leaky and needed replacement. Now they are completely deteriorated. The original finish is still marvelous. The ivories are in great shape. Only one of the labels on the stops is missing. The bench is 20 years old.Custom built to match the style. At that time the cloth behind the organ's front grill was replaced to match the red bench top. The buyer must be willing to pickup the organ in NW Columbus. Ohio not far from 315 and Ackerman.

Antique c.1890 Ornate Oak Victorian Clawfoot Piano Pump Organ Stool Bench
For your consideration an ornate antique c.1890 Victorian organ stool. Fresh from a local estate. The stool has been beautifully refinished. It is made of solid oak. It has metal and glass claw& ball feet. The legs and base are ornately turned. I could not get it to adjust up. There are some old repairs. It measures 19" in height. The seat measures 14" in diameter. An excellent addition to any antique collection or if you just want to own a really neat old stool. I am selling this item with no reserve. J Estey Organ-LOCAL PICK UP ONLY This is antique J. Estey organ made in Brattleboro VI. As seen in the pic the date reads Oct. 1865. It is in need of some repairs but is in overall good cosmetic condition. The candle holders are in great shape and it comes with original stool. It seems to have only had three owners. Antique Walnut Mason & Hamlin Pump Organ Fit for Steam Punk Use
This is an Antique Walnut Mason& Hamlin Pump Organ. Style 256 No. 111351. It is in original condition and showing it's age. All the parts appear to be there for the main bellows, but they are in need of refurbishing, material and webbing, purchased in 1988 comes with it and are included. The keyboard is there and a couple of the stops are disconnected from the back, but are there. It has scratches and dings and the finish is worn on the top areas. The gold stencilling in the panels is in fairly good condition. The screens are a little worn. The carpeted foot peddles are worn. This would be a great piece for a Steam Punk Creation! There is a decal under the stops that reads"Metzler& Co. and what appears to be London. Sold as is. Where is. Local pick up or buyer arranges shipping.

The organ is missing one door and needs a seam reglued on the mirror back(see photo) but is otherwise in very nice condition. It has a beveled glass mirror and a fancy carved mirror back.
