This is a VINTAGE CORNET In my estimation it dates from around the early 20th Century. Circa 1900, but please make up your own mind about this. The cornet measures approx 13 inches(330mm) long and is made from silver plated brass. With some traces of the brass base metal visible. The bell is engraved with the suppliers' name SALVATION 1ST FURNISHING SUPPLIES LTD KINGS CROSS LONDON and the SALVATION ARMY CREST. The valves all move freely. Antique Selmer Paris Cornet Trumpet 3 Digit Serial
Up for auction is an oldy and a goody- a late 30's/ early 40's Henri Selmer Paris cornet with a 3 digit serial number- 47x! Horn is in impressive but used shape for its age: original lacquer about 85% No visible pitting on leadpipe, minor dent work on bell and crook, everything moves, just cleaned. Valves show mild wear and faint sideplay, but still pull surprisingly good vacuum for age and horn is thoroughly playable from top to bottom. Bore is about.459 and horn has a great warm, vintage tone. Has a 1st valve trigger, and 3rd valve slide(a little stiff) with original ring. Could use new corks/felts and valve alignment. Comes with what appears to be original case, no name mpc in about a 7c size, 3 mutes in good condition, and some 1940's trumpet solo transcriptions and some handwritten music, too. Here's a beautiful vintage horn that you will not see many of here on ebay! I've had this for many years. And as I do not play the trumpet, have decided to offer it to someone that does! This is a cornet of the highest caliber, manufactured and used by the Salvation Army Brass Band! The bell is stamped: The Triumphonic L.P Class A 26752. There is an emblem that says Blood And Fire with a ribbon that says The Salvation Army. Also says, Manufactured by the Salvationist Publishing& Supplies, LTD. Judd St Kings Cross London, Factory St Albans, Made In England. Valves are marked 30, 29, 28. Silver plate, in very nice condition. While I have checked the valves, and they look to be original, there is one valve cover, as seen in the photo, that is not original. Hi Im selling my grandfathers trumpet for some extra cash. Not sure how old it is. But it has just been lying around in its box, so I think it would be better for someone else to own who can fully appreciate it. These were designed to look/sound like OLDS trumpets, EXCEPT for the HUGE BORE(more than 0.470) Does it sound like I like these horns? You Bet! This one has been my primary horn for a number of years. But now I have an OLDS Super that has taken first place. Sadly, this one must go. Tremendous tone and easy range. You are looking at USN Antique Trumpet. Someone told me. They thought it to be WWI vintage. I am not sure, but will post it here, if I find out more about it in the next couple of days. The trumpet is functional, the valves are free and do not stick. I've had this piece in my collection for 10 years. A friend of mine, who plays trumpet, did test it and play a tune on it. The trumpet has a brassy silver tone. At first sight, it appears as silver in color. As you can tell from the photographs, the trumpet has some beautiful flourish engraving. The trumpet appears to be marked"Ц55P" and the baritones are marked"Ц55P" probably their model numbers) Ц is a character in the Cyrillic alphabet used in Slavic languages. Tuba's logo looks like it said"A" before it was worn off. One of the baritones has a severely damaged first bell bow(pictured) Has sticky valves(the 2nd valve of this horn is actually depressed in one of the pictures) and stuck valve slides. The tuning slide is free, and the valves do all move, they just stick. All of the valves and slides on the other instruments move ... morefreely and easily. Although they are in need of a cleaning. The trumpet and tuba have only minor dents and dings, and are largely in good shape. You can see that some of the solder joints on all of the instruments have had some work done to them. Two mouthpieces came with the instruments, and may or may not be original(pictured) There is also a denim bag for one of the baritones(which probably accounts for the slightly different patinas on the baritones) that appears to be original. You can check out a video of these horns being played at the bottom of the description. They actually produce some nice sounds! This would be an intriguing set of instruments for any collector. Especially if you're able to find information on the maker. Any of these instruments by themselves would be an interesting find, but to find three different instrument types all from the same maker, and as old as these instruments are! Up for sale is a Antoine Courtois Cornet. I inherited this& I don't no anything about instruments. The inscription says: ANTOINE COURTOIS BREVETE FACTEUR DU CONSERVATOIRE NATIONAL 8 RUE DE NANCY PARIS MEDAILLE D'OR PARIS 1878.1889,1900 GRANDS PRIX LIEGE 1905 BRUXELLES 1910 TURNIN 1911 GENEVE 1927 Also has#s 34 35 36 I'm not sure if this the serial# or not it says 3434 I tried to look up info on it but couldn't find much out. I no that Nancy St is a address where he had his business in Paris in the late 1920's. The key things move freely& there is some tarnish on it as you can see in the pics. OLD ANTIQUE SILVER TRUMPET THE REGENT NICE!
Here's a nice old trumpet made by the Ohio Band Instrument Company in Cleveland. Engraved with a crest symbol. Labeled the Regent. Comes with old case and The Regent#2 mouthpiece as pictured. Serial number 2376. Pearl inlay on the keys. The valves work and have nice compression but they will need oiling. This will need some cleaning. Oiling of the slides etc to get this back in peak shape. Looks like one of the braces has been re-soldered. The bell is tarnished and has some small dings/dents. It is missing the valve stop rod, but this is cosmetic and will not affect play. Overall looks it's in good condition and should be a real beauty when cleaned up! Should be great for some of that old Swing era music!

3 Antique Sterling (215 g) and Silverplate Weighted Trumpet Vases 1887-1912
Set of 3 Varying Size Antique Sterling and Silver Plate Weighted Trumpet Vases Marked 1887-1912 with a W Monogram as shown in the photographs. Tallest vase is 8 inches. Shortest vase is 4 inches. The inscription is the same on all three vases. Although not marked because the bottoms of the vases have been removed. The two taller vases are sterling(215 grams with the chunks of weighting material shown in the photos removed) and the short vase(42 grams) appears to be silver plate. The weighting material shown in the photos has been removed to get accurate weights of the vases. All have varying degrees of tarnish and minor dings. Trumpet Vintage Antique Silver Kalashen Peerless Besson Cousenon or Blessing
Here we have a great Antique Kalashen Peerless trumpet. The patent date on the second valve casing is 1910. The serial number on the valves is 20- this is a very early instrument! All indications show that Kalashen was a large importer of instruments in New York around the turn of the 20th century. Ths horn is more than likely a stencil horn. From the general build quality and the odd forward facing 2nd valve slide. This trumpet appears to be made by Besson or Blessing- possibly Cousenon. The horn plays nicely- I've been it's custodian for about 8 years now and have played it off and on. It has a somewhat small bore and isn't free blowing. The tone is good and it's fun to play- it has a great sound that I find to be less bright than modern horns. The valves are worn. But still play okay. There is a dent in the bell tube near ... morethe second valve, as shown, as well as some wrinkling in the bell. The leadpipe has a patch, as shown. This plays pretty well, at least to my ear, and registers fine at A=440 Hz. Don't miss this chance to own a rare horn! As with all my vintage items. Unknown Antique Vintage Brass Trumpet With Buescher Case
Antique vintage trumpet. Unsure of the manufacturer as there are no markings on it. You be the judge of that, the instrument is rough and has had a hard life, but like anything else is restorable. Note the dents in the photos. The valve closest to the mouth piece has the number 70 on it. The center valve has the number 71 with L3 under that. The valve towards the front of the horn has the number 72. The case is also a vintage case of the period and is well worn. The case is a Buescher made in Elkhart Indiana. Here is a great old Victorian ear trumpet that was recently sold from a local Nebraska pioneer Museum collection. It measures a lengthy 64" long and is construction of a very flexible rubber tube with mohair braiding on top of it. There is a gutta percha(an early predecessor to plastic) mouthpiece which is in good condition and trumpet which. As you can see. Has damage. Up for auction is an a great antique C.G. ARNOLD Brown Hardshell Trumpet Carrying Case! This case is in good condition considering the age of the piece. The handle is missing some of the outer material. But still holds the weight of the case securely. There are two slide latches that work fantastically on the top of the case. The interior of the trumpet case is lined with a soft violet fabric material that looks and feels great. There a couple spots of discoloration, but they are difficult to see with the darker material. The case is also marked with C. G. Arnold on the inside. The exterior of the case is made of some hard material and has a few nicks around the edges, but overall still looks like great classic piece. The sheet measures 12 1/2 X 9 1/2 inches and is in good condition aside from slight curling& small bends in the corners. And light age toning. It is quite tall and has a slender body which then opens up into the trumpet shape top which has a decorative pattern around the wavy edge. It is hand painted(no etching) This vase must have had gold that wore off because I see gold here and there. There are no chips/cracks but there is wear to the design. I will try to describe as accurately as I can. The case does not look to be marked and is lined with crushed maroon velvet. The outside locks are worn, but the case may be leather. The trumpet has a mouthpiece that is marked 7C Vincent Bach Corp. New York. The trumpet does play. The keys are capped with mother of pearl. I haven't cleaned the trumpet in case someone wants the original patina on it. It looks to be marked, The Favorite, MJ Kalashen, New York. The middle key is also marked, 673, on the bottom. I assuming this is the serial number. The research I did showed that Mark Kalashen made these trumpets from 1895-1930.
