Antique 1880 6 1/2 Foot Steinway & Sons Square Grand Piano
I called Steinway& Sons and I was told this piano was sold in 1880. I have had this piano for 14 years. I sort of inherited and thought one of my children would make use of it. However they all opted for other instruments(go figure) I am fairly ignorant when it comes to piano's so I brought in an expert. It has made a great piece of furniture in my Victorian home but it is time for a change. Also it should be with someone that can apreciate it more than I can. There are 85 keys and none are chipped. The soundboard was checked out and there are no cracks. There are a couple of keys that were sticking and I had the piano expert look further into it. It was quite amazing for me to watch a craftsman at work. He told me this piano had been restored and had new hammers and more. And they look like new. He said that who ever did the work ... moreknew what they were doing and I can see he was impressed. I can share his name and number with anyone who is series about this piano. This is a quality piano. There is wear in the wood from age and a flower vase through the years. Again the heart of this piano has been restored and will need a little work from sitting unused for years. The restoration work still looks new. Measurements are 76 inches width. 38 inches depth, and 38 inches in heighth. Even the keys are in perfect condition as they were replaced during the restoration. Not real ivory, but a quality substitute. There are no knicks or scratches except for one small place where a guest accidently set something& the finish is marred slightly. It could be easily touched up or maybe even rubbed out. I would never consider selling this beautiful antique piano except that I have three grown children and in fairness. Antique BALDWIN“R” Baby Grand Piano 5'8" Serial# 16535. Made back in the early 1900s. Wonderful sound. It was not tuned after moving, but still holds tune. All the keys play and sound great. Off-White/ Ivory color. The piano was probably partially re-finished. Because the keys lid and note holder is a little darker than the rest of the piano, but maybe it is just discoloration because of time. There are some scratches on the piano and a bench, but no damage to the wood. Original piano bench is included. The only one damage I know is one of three legs has a chipped top platform(where it connects to the piano itself) If you do not roll the piano forth and back– it will stay firmly. Description Wurlitzer baby grand piano. Serial number is 8378; according to the Bluebook of Pianos website. The serial number dates it to 1907. Wheels were at some point added to the piano's legs. Accessories A matching bench with storage underneath the seat is included. Size& Measurements Piano: approx 57.5" wide x 58.5" long x 37.5" tall(not including wheels) wheels add 1.5" or so Bench: 14" wide x 30" long x 22" tall Function All keys play. Though the instrument is in need of tuning. Some sound especially off(particularly the low F's) We are not sure if that is indicative of another issue or if it is just lack of tuning. Although basic operational tests are done when possible. We may not be able to test all items, functions, settings, calibrations, connections, controls and features. Condition ... moreOne key sits slightly lower than the others. But it does play and return to position. There is a 2" chip in the wood that has been set back into place(see photo) to the right of the keyboard. The right-side knob to pull down the key cover is loose. There are some gouges, scratches, scuffs, and stains throughout the piano's finish as well as that of the bench; there are a few water rings(from cups) on the bench seat as well. The most significant flaws I noted are shown in the photos. The front left leg has been attached with replacement bolt screws instead of the flat-head screws holding the other two legs(see photo for comparison) The instrument shows overall wear from use and age. Set 4 Antique Baroque Architectural Massive Grand Piano Legs 1865 Carved Wood
These MASSIVE legs once supported an impressive rosewood square grand piano made ca. 1860-1880 and are entirely hand carved of solid tulip poplar with old faux graining under worn and distressed shiny French polish finish. They have recently been discovered in a barn loft and are filthy with white spatters and dust all of which will wipe off with a damp cloth. The legs measure 23” tall(25 including 1 5/8” diameter threaded post on top) x 15” wide x 6” at the base with concave cup concealing original cast iron castors. You will notice shrinkage cracks at the laminations and many bangs and wear areas on the high points, but nothing that compromises the structural integrity of the legs. Two have bad losses on the“caster cup) as per the photos and one of the threaded posts is chipped badly. Pick up is available if you desire. In 1885, was known for building exceptionally well made pianos, with emphasis on musical quality over aesthetics. Their player piano line was especially impressive, as they incorporated many highly innovated design techniques that were usually found only in higher quality conventional pianos. The Company built several brand names including Warfield, Waltham. Wilson. Electotone, Kilbourne, Auburn. Lincoln. Shorewood, and Oakland. In their last years. Antique Behr Brothers upright grand piano
This is a Behr Brothers upright grand piano that is well over 100 years old. Obviously it has signs of wear. I have actually played it for the last 7 years so I can tell you that it is playable and has a great soundboard. However to make it completely playable it would need at least 800.00 worth of work done to it. The keyboard is intact and is missing 16 ivory fronts along with 3 backs. The piano also has the original beanch as well. I will not ship this item but will arrange for local pick up. Please ask any questions about this piano. The piano from what I have been told is in fair to good condition and fully restored may fetch between 5 to 6.000 dollars. I don't have the time and I already have another piano. I need the space.

1899 Baby Grand Piano made by The Sterling Piano Co. in Brooklyn(store was at 536 Fulton St. Serial Number is 22869. However. Two other numbers are stamped on the wood, 22866 and#22865. Front of piano says Sterling New York-Toronto. Mahogany. Approximately 56 inches across the front and from front to back. Beautiful carvings continue underneath piano. Completely restored by the Antique Piano Warehouse in Anaheim or Buena Park, CA 1977 or 1978, and I have been the only owner since. Piano bench was provided by the Antique Piano Warehouse but is not antique. Legs on both sides and in the back of the piano and the pedals unscrew, making it easy to move. Pedals were not put back on in my last move 5 years ago and the piano has not been played since then. Beautiful piano but no room for it anymore. This stunning grand piano was hand-painted in April 1929 by John S. Oshanna(1899-1980) Who is most famous for his murals, designs, and hotel work in San Francisco, California and Honolulu, Hawaii. The piece was previously featured in the Japanese Embassy and was recently acquired through an estate sale in Point Loma, California. The artwork itself is vibrant and meticulous, depicting beautiful Japanese scenery and a Phoenix. The Phoenix is said to be a good omen, bringing with it peace and prosperity. Oshanna died in Burlingame, CA on March 12, 1980. He is listed in Who Was Who in American Art(Falk 1999)

This is a lovely Louis XVI Grand Piano built by Hardman. Peck& Co. during the great depression era. This piano would have been one of the highest grade, most expensive pianos offered by Hardman at the time, and would have been afforded by only a wealthy few during the great depression. This piano is made of elegantly carved wood, and boasts some of the most elaborately carved Louis XVI style legs ever seen. It has lovely victorian style inlayed artwork on three sides. No expense was spared when it was restored to perfection in 2010, the entire process took over a year to accomplish. It also includes an original matching bench which was also restored to its original beauty. This piano is being offered from an estate.
