Period: Late Nineteenth/ Early Twentieth Century Provenance: Unknown Date: c.1890-1900 Width: 43 inches Depth: 20 inches Height: 47 inches Of generous proportions. The figured solid walnut pedal pump organ by the Estey Organ Company of Brattleboro, Vermont USA, standing on the original castors with decorative galleried back and greek key detailing, the centre now housing two shelves acting as a bookcase, the flip up top opening to reveal the organ keys with gilt painted makers name and 36 white keys, and 25 black keys. The colour of the walnut is superb and the condition largely excellent with the lower shelf covered in green velvet. The internals of the organ have obviously all been removed but the pumps remain for decorative effect. Bookcases were first introduced in the 15th century and with few changes along the way to their design. The history of bookcases is indeed a simple and short affair. What cannot be argued with however is that books are as still supremely valued today as they were in the time of the Tudors but whether an organ has ever held books so competently is somewhat open to debate. For over 100 years. The Estey Organ Company manufactured organs large and small in Brattleboro, VT. Jacob Estey founded the Estey Organ Company in 1846 in Brattleboro, Vermont. Estey could sense a change in the American people, and was anticipating a shift towards a more music-centric society. When the company was first started, they specialized only in reed organs until 1901, when they hired a new organ builder and opened up a pipe organ branch. I always hate parting out an old piece unless there is no other option. ... moreI have not visually inspected each reed but I do know that they are really dirty. I have not cleaned them as I won't risk damage to any of them. I will leave that task up to the buyer. This organ had a back and a front set of reeds. If I am not mistaken the rear set is graduated from top to bottom uniformly note by note. The front set is divided. In the base I think it is an octave above and the treble being standard pitch. This is what I have found on other pump organs. I can make no guarantees but they should work fine after cleaning. Thank you for looking at my auction.

Unlike an American set of reeds from an American made pump organ, these reeds are screwed in with tiny number 1 or 2 steel screws, at both ends. The screws show a bit of rusting, but will turn out or off quite easily to replace a reed if need be. There are approximately 275+ reeds included with this auction and they are still intact to a portion of the wood housing. Your bid buys what you see in the pictures(of the portion of pump organ only) and will not be further disassembled from it's existing size of 36" long x 17" wide x 4-5" high, for shipping purposes. It's weight is or will be somewhere around 30-35lbs after packing. If you are in need of a pump organ reed, perhaps a little different than what you are use to, here's your chance to own something a little different than usual. At least one reed, that I noticed is broken, as has been taped, I'm guessing so that it did not vibrate beyond control while the instrument was being played. Shipping and insurance. Magnificent antique Cornish & Co. (Washington, NJ) oak pump organ from 1880s
This beauty and I have a long and loving history. As I am the SECOND owner of this piece in approximately 135 years! While on a drive from California to Colorado in the mid-60s, I discovered it in an closed church, purchased it, and had it fully restored. It has adorned my home for the last five decades. Working perfectly. It is operated by alternately pumping the foot pedals. Sustaining is accomplished by pushing the wooden knee-paddles to the side. It is quite small: only 42" wide. 22-1/2" deep, and 43-1/2" in height. Although I am listing it for local pickup. It can be shipped by truck. Use the dimensions above to request estimates from trucking firms, and I will wrap it with furniture blankets and protective plastic for the journey. I am offering it at a very reasonable starting bid. With NO RESERVE!

In the standing position. It measures 29" tall. It weighs 45 lbs. I am not familiar with how the organ is actually to work. The foot pedals do move up and down and appear to be pumping air, but I do not get any sound when playing the keys, so not sure if it is something I am missing or something that needs repaired. Stylish. Antique, upholstered bench. The legs/frame are heavy, quality pieces. This is a genuine antique made and signed by the W.H.Howell Co. in GENEVA ILL. The cast iron has a wonderful, aged brass/bronze patina. Great, contoured legs with acanthus decoration and paw feet. The padded bench has some wear on the corners. Everything is there except 4 screws. If needlepoint is not your cup of tea, the legs/base would support a wide range of replacement tops. Clough & Warren Antique Pedal Draw Bar Pump Parlor Organ all original with Ivory
This is an Antique Pedal Pump Organ also known as a Parlor Organ from the late 1800s made by the Clough& Warren Company in Detroit. Michigan. It's a functioning musical instrument as well as an Antique and conversation piece. It requires manual pumping of the pedals to fill the bellows with air, which powers the sound. The draw bars are mostly in good working order to provide multiple different sounds and tones, as well as the octave coupler and Sub Bass which when activated gives it an incredible sound! There are obvious scuff. Stains, scratches on the body as well as chips and cracks on the original ivory keys, but this is a working instrument and I have played songs like Neil Young's organ pieces and it sounds just like his organ. The gold gilt stenciled walnut case measures 12“ by 9 3/4“ by 9 ¼” tall and this Musical Casket comes with two original music rolls. These rolls were made by the Arbach Organ Co. or Philadelphia and are titled“No Tell me the Old. Old Story” and“Safe in the Arms of Jesus…Gospel Bells…Drawing Nearer…Waiting by the River. These two music rolls do show signs of use and have tears, and creases to their early paper. The organ itself is in very good, complete original condition. When I crank the handle on the side, the cylinder inside turns smoothly and I do not see any breaks or missing pieces from inside the Orguinette. YOU ARE BIDDING ON SPLENDID Antique WWII Oak Estey Folding Chaplain's Pump Organ. It appears to be all original. It is approximately 12" Wide 32" Tall and 32" Long. It amazingly all folds into a 12 x 13 x 32" oak self contained wood box. This organ has 29 white keys and 20 black keys. The bellows appear to be all original& in fair condition. The organ does work when pumped. But it takes a bit of pumping so it seems some air must be leaking from the bellows. Original Estey lettering on the inside keyboard cover says"Estey Organ Co. Brattleboro Vt USA" This organ has wonderful quality dovetail construction. This organ was lovingly used by the chaplain. The left side of the top board has an old repaired crack on it also the under board which flips down to create the rear lower brace board has been repaired(see ... morepics) The keyboard is in very good shape with no chips or cracks in the keys. There is a small piece of wood missing on the lid(approx. 1/4"where one of the side brackets was attached. All in all. It is a nice period piece. ANTIQUE 19TH C. PUMP ORGAN SOLID BRASS REEDS
Up for bid is a portion of an antique. Late 19th century French pump organ. It is about all that is left from the pump organ, except maybe the case, which was made almost entirely of Rosewood. This piece however consists of the solid brass reeds. Unlike an American set of reeds from an American made pump organ, these reeds are screwed in with tiny number 1 or 2 steel screws, at both ends. The screws show a bit of rusting, but will turn out or off quite easily to replace a reed if need be. There are approximately 275+ reeds included with this auction and they are still intact to a portion of the wood housing. Your bid buys what you see in the pictures(of the portion of pump organ only) and will not be further disassembled from it's existing size of 36" long x 17" wide x 4-5" high, for shipping purposes. It's weight is ... moreor will be somewhere around 30-35lbs after packing. If you are in need of a pump organ reed, perhaps a little different than what you are use to, here's your chance to own something a little different than usual. At least one reed, that I noticed is broken, as has been taped, I'm guessing so that it did not vibrate beyond control while the instrument was being played. Shipping and insurance. Antique Pipe Organ Parts Estey Organ Co. Brattleboro VT front plates many others
For sale is a lot of Antique Pipe Organ Parts from an Estey Organ. These were salvaged from smaller organ. I was told it was a traveling unit. Everything pictured is included in this auction. Front plates, knee swells, pedal band rollers and one other part I am not sure what it is? The plate with the Estey printing is approx 2-1/2" w x 39-3/4" long. If not sure on a repair would make a nice sign display. The other plate with the holes is approx 3" wide x 39-3/4" long. The knee swells also have the original mounting brackets. OVerall wood items are in pretty good shape, have some nicks and scratches. Will ship in 1 business day after payment is received. Payment via Paypal only.

Very old pump organ- NOT working. Needs repair Beautiful wood- I think it is the original finish. Possibly from the 1800s or so Has two round. Removable platforms for holding something decorative such as candelabras I couldn't find a name or number on the organ to identify the maker History: This organ was in a Methodist church in Onalaska. Wisconsin, when, around 1949, my parents purchased it for our home. It played pretty well at the time, and I enjoyed pumping and playing favorite tunes as a child. Later, it went into disrepair, with the pump straps breaking, and possibly other problems. Nevertheless, it was a beautiful antique to show off, especially with the 7 inch round platforms on either side, a nice place to put candles or other decor. Local pickup only. In the Phoenix area. Antique Organ Stool with Cast Iron Legs Rochester New York 1873 Archer Co.
An antique Vi ctorian organ or piano stool with original rosewood graining and figural. Cabriole. Cast iron legs. 10 Photos) The stool. 18" to top of seat, is in origi nal condition(as is) missing the fabrice.the original horsehair stuffing comes with the stool for upholstery. The stool was manufactured by Geo W. Archer of Rochester. New York,with a patent date of 1873 stamped on the cast iron seat plate. The seat can be raised or lowered by the revolution of the cast iron screw in the post.the support plate has been turned at one time, possibly because of screws loosening, and it would probably be a good idea to put it back into the original position with larger screws to enhance the balance when the screw is turned to the higher positions. The rosewood grained, nicely turned, post is in fairly good condition and could be waxed to achieve ... morea wonderful look. The seat is a shaped top, preferable to the plain square or round examples of the period, that would be a knockout with the proper fabric.much of the graining on the edge has worn off. Antique Gem Roller Organ w 17 Cobs In Working Condition ~ 1887 Patent
This auction is for an Antique Gem Roller Organ w 17 Cobs. It was patented in 1887 and sold through Sears and Roebuck. This musical instrument is an estate find. And has not been restored or cleaned by us. The crank turns freely creating an air flow via a bellows mechanism. The crank also turns a"cob" with pins. The pins engage keys which allow air to flow through, creating a musical note. The placement of pins on the cob create the song. The finish on this machine is worn. Although much of the painted art work remains in good shape(see photos 2, 3, 4, 5) The directions are attached to the bottom of the organ, and show the patent date of 1887(photo 11) The keys lift fine and the pads on the keys seal the orifices good(see photo 8) The bellows have some wear at the corners see photos 9. 10. We have attached several photos to show ... moreall the moving mechanisms(photos 6. 7, 8) Since we are not experts in the operation of this instrument, hopefully the photos can clearly show the condition. We have played several of the cobs and the songs are clearly recognizable. The cobs have directions on one end, and the number and song on the other. Some labels are more legible than others.
