The wick cap does not click securely to the oil reservoir, though. The thumb wheel turns the wick up and there is one to open the hatch to pull up and refill the reservoir. Up for sale is a nice old WWII 1940's WEDGE brass railroad& railway train signal Lantern/a light RR regiment cargo signal lantern/ four sided brass cage type of lantern with 4 sided glass/ lantern has raised brass grating that surrounds& protects the outside of the lanterns glass/ top rounded brass smoke stack hood with a top brass& wooden handle/ lantern has a slide out removable kerosene oil fill tank with an adjustable wick/ name on oil tank reads WEDGE/ old coil spring type latch on door/ solid brass wirer grating type that covers& protects its glass well/ lantern is in very good shape overall& in very good working condition/ overal a really well made solid hand held lantern. Overall condition of lantern: NO DAMAGE/ Old brass lantern with old age brass patina along with some very minor issues of some oxidation ... morespots on it in a few small areas such as under its top hood located just around its top smoke stake area and a small little bit also around its top handle mounts. Overall its a pretty clean brass lantern/ Also I think these light oxidation areas will clean off nicely with a small tiny brass wirer brush or some very fine steel wool/ I left lantern alone and as is over the years with its old ageing patina/ the old wick turns up& down nicely/ The inside of this old lantern looks to be pretty clean and it does not appear to have much aging. Overall this old lantern looks to be very well made and very well kept over the years. Lantern has hardly NO visible lead solder on it only just a little bit around its door hinges and oil tank ring handle all welds on it are factory done/ Also the lantern looks to be mostly bolted together with little small brass factory screws and little brass nuts: such as bolted on its brass& wooden handle and its bolted on brass smoke stack hood covering and it has bolted on brass wire grating also. Antique "Viking" Ship Nautical Maritime Oil Lamp Kerosene Lantern
Vintage Viking Kerosene anchor light. Not sure of the age but not antique. I see other Viking brand lanterns listed as true antiques but I don't believe they are or that this one is. Everything works. It stands 15" tall. 6 1/2" deep and 6 1/2" wide. The glass is all in good condition. No dents, breaks or flaws that I can see. The material seems to be all brass except the rolled edges and corners are brass rolled over a steel rod. This lantern is dirty and needs cleaning but i will leave that up to the purchaser, I am selling as found. This will make a beautiful display or actually use it! 1920's Maritime Nautical Neptune Oil Lamp Brass Ships Lantern
Vintage 1920's maritime brass oil burning ships lantern. I have not polished it but it seems to be in great condition. There is no corrosion to the brass and the glass sides and chimney have no chips or cracks and there is just a small dent on the top. It is missing the wick. Please look at pictures closely. Vtg Copper Sealine Sea Line Hanging Ship Nautical Fresnel Type Lens Oil Lantern
This is the classic solid copper anchor lamp used on sailing ships for hundreds of years. The lamp is hand machined in pure heavy-gauge copper with brass trim. Comes with burner and a bit of wick. The Fresnel style lens is made to magnify the oil lamp light to be visible for 20 nautical miles. The Anchor lamp is named for it's use. A 360 o white light is required to be displayed at the highest point(the tallest mast) on all vessels at anchor or under way at night. These oil burning lanterns were made to be lit. Hoisted to the top of the mast with one rope tied to the handle and a 2nd rope tied to the bottom bail to keep it from swaying as the ship rolls with the sea. A very nice lamp. Ready to use. Antique whale oil lamp lantern light onion globe silver plated BIG nautical
This incredible light is from an old Wellesley MA estate. It stands about 20" tall to the top of the fixed ring on the top of the heat cage. The globe is around 10" in diameter. The metal surfaces are silver plated and in need of polishing. The base has some denting as shown. The font is original but the burner is missing. The light was electrified at some point but it would be easy enough to remove those parts. A very rare light. Thanks for looking.

Marine Oil lamp from old port,stabord, lantern with flange burner & chimney
You are bidding on the oil lamp only! Not the lantern shown in the last pitcher. The picture of the lantern was borrowed from another dealer(with his permission) to show what the lantern that it came out of looked like. The Old Marine oil lamp is in mint condition. It is signed PERKO on the bottom of the lamp. The burner is signed Made in the USA and I think Miller but it is very hard to read. The rod going across the bottom Pick# 3 is to screw and lock the lamp in place in the lantern. The ends of the rod Pick#4 sticking out on either side are used to lock the lamp into the lantern. The lamp is 3 3/4" high 5 1/2" to the top of the burner 10 3/4" to thr top of the chimney and 4" in diameter. The burner will screw into a standard $2 collar. This auction is for a rare nautical oil lantern or lamp form the mid to late 1800's. These lanterns were used on smaller vessels such as lighthouse service launches. Fishing boats, etc. It has 3 bullseye lens. Red, green, and clear. The lantern is made of galvanized tin. The round top is brass. The lantern is complete with the original font burner. There is a handle and a mounting bracket on the back. The wire door latch mechanism works well. The lantern is 8 1/4 inches in height.The lantern is in all original as found, uncleaned condition with great patina. No holes. Just a few minor rust spots but no pitting. The date is also stamped on the chimney but cannot be read. Fully functional. Heavy gauge brass with copper rivets lantern complete with all its original parts. Used aboard a ship as a bulkhead, cabin, wardroom lamp/ lantern. Bulpitt and Sons LTD is imprinted on both the chimney and Bulpitt on the oil tank. Manufactured by famed English maker. Bulpitt and Sons, Birmingham, England. This is an extraordinary and rare item in excellent condition. The lantern measures 16" at the tallest chimney point and 20" with the wooden handle extended. 8" wide at the back, 5" deep. Weighs amost 11 lbs. The back is flat and boasts a huge brass clip ... morewith copper rivets for sturdy mounting. The front is three-sided with glass windows which are all intact, with no cracks or chips. The original brass burner is also in excellent condition with a wick, not sure it is the original. The stamp on the burner clasp reads Bulpitt. A brass reflector wall is behind the burner. The burner looks as though never used and slides out easily through the glass door on the right. There is also a slide on the side of the door that moves to expose an opening without having to open the door. The chimney top opens and the entire top is hinged to flip back allowing access to the chimney. It even still has the solid brass knob on the front lower corner. There are a few small dents consistent with its age. But it does not detract from the overall beauty of this gorgeous piece of British seafaring history. This would make a great piece to add to any maritime nautical collection.

Antique Nautical Marine Oil Lantern to start a new paragraph use- This is a great example of an antique marine oil lantern. It's one of the best ones I've seen. The main body ~ top/bottom is free of dents. The hanger and tie downs are intact. The wires or cage is there and in good condition. The glass is free of chips on the outside, has some of the little flea bite size around the rim on the bottom inside like they all do. And the bottom oil lamp part is there, the hinge works and it stays closed when you hold it up. I don't see a mark on the glass, but this looks like a Perkins lantern. At one time had a finish on it ~ I have left this, it does chip off if you care to totally remove it and just have that old zinc/tin look, but right now it has great patina! For sale is a nice old marine lamp-lantern made by Perko De Lite Lamp. This one is made of copper and what appears to be galvanized metal. It has the original oil lamp inside and a green and a red glass lens. They are both in good shape and not broken. Mounting bracket on back with original Perko brass tag. Hanging or holding loop on top. This Nautical Ship Lantern measures 10" x 5½" x 5" It is all original and uncleaned. The gentleman I got this from said he used to use the lantern in it when he camped as a kid. Inside you can see the carbon left from when the lamp was lit. I think if this was wired right. It would make a beautiful and different kind of light for a nautically decorated room.

I believe this to be a vintage ship/nautical/maritime oil lantern in good condition. Made of copper, brass and a amber/yellowish tinted globe shaped glass w/ no cracks or chips. The lantern measures 11"H x 7.5"W and has a small removable oil lantern that enters the lantern through a small hole in the base of the lantern. I left the metal the way I found this piece and only cleaned up the glass globe. I do not see any reason why this lantern would not function properly. Antique Copper and Brass Nautical "Anchor" Oil Lantern 14" - Vintage
Anchor" vintage antique nautical 14 inch lamp. Still functional. Bulb on the inside is broken. It was dropped but is still some-what together. Very unique lamp. Still retains the smell of old kerosene. No serious dents, scratches, or breaks(besides the bulb) Also has the wick still in the lamp.

Offered for your consideration is this nice PAIR of kerosene oil lights. Made by the Marine-Division of the Artistic Brass and Bronze Works New York NY. Each light has a makers tag attached to the front of the base. Both lights look to be pretty complete with oil burner and chimneys still there. Sorry no wall mounting brackets. I am not sure if the wicks are still in them. The knob that raises and lowers the wick is very hard to turn on both lanterns. I think the wick mechanism needs to be cleaned. There is a very minor amount of corrosion on the tops of the bases. Each lantern measures about 18" tall to the top of the handle. Base measures about 7" across. Antique maritime kerosene oil lantern Perko Port side red lens
I believe that this is a Perko lantern but I am not 100% sure as I could not find any markings.The lantern is made of galvanized steel with a brass top and font.It measures 12" tall X 8" wide across the front with the glass measuring about 5" wide and 5" high and it even has the original mounting bracket which is never found.
