This could have been a cargo lamp. Steaming l ight. Anchor light, or a stern light. Not really sure. Somewhere on it's journey it was electrified and has a bulb inside and the burner is not present. It has a thick Fresnel lens that is turning purpl e with age and it has a crack in it that is stable. Doesn't detract much from the old lamp. 1939 Rare Perko De-lite Maritime Red and Green Kerosene Combination Bow Lantern
For Auction: Rare Perko De-lite Maritime Red and Green Kerosene Lantern Lamp. From the 1939 Perko catalog. This is described as a"Perko De-Lite Combination Bow Light for boats under 26' Designed for boats going up and down a channel or river. The divider divides the red and green light and gives you a clue on which side you are passing on. Base is 5 1/2" by 5" 7" tall. Copper over metal. Original Condition- Red and Green Glass are good. Both doors open. The Green door latch is a little tight. But it does open. The red door latch is not original, and looks like it has been replaced. The kerosene can inside is empty. The Original wick is still included. The wicker turner still turns just fine. It won't raise the tope part of the wick. Super rare vintage cargo hold lantern. I spent countless hours researching this and found very little about it other than the fact that it is a lantern from a cargo hold in a ship/warehouse. It has some weathering but. Has no dents and the original glass in still intact along with the wiring. It is not pictured but, I have the metal ceiling mount piece for it as well. I was told it is a model L427 13" tall Sorry I do not know the model# Cant find it anywhere Love to here some comments about it or the model# It is very used and rusted. Top a bit eaten away under the shade I was told: Your lantern is likely from the 1930's. Possibly the 20's but unlikely given the pump. My guess would be that both the globe and the vent are not original to the lantern but later year pieces that were used to keep the lantern running. Most notably because of the logo on the glass globe and the fact that the vent is painted. The model number is LQ327 most likely, possibly a 427, but doubtedly. It is antique. RARE Vintage Lantern Light Buoy Piling Ship Anchor Dock Nautical Galv. Brass
Up for auction today is vintage nautical lantern. Different people call these types by such names as; buoy. Piling, master head, anchor, or dock lantern/ light. I am not sure of the proper name or use for this lantern. Can you inform me? It measures 17 ½” tall. The bottom is 8” in diameter, the top is 7 ½” in diameter, the lens is 4 ¾” tall(the exposed portion) and the lens is approx 5” in diameter. The lens is a dark ruby red and I see no cracks or chips. The body is galvanized metal with the rings. Latching hardware and the top ring of bottom portion being made of brass. There is a makers mark on the inside but some is missing and I cannot tell by what I can read who the maker is. Do you know? I assume that it was battery operated but there is no battery or wiring that is visible. I did not take the top portion apart and ... moredo not know if there is a bulb inside. The one photo that shows the lens bright was held up to the sun. The lantern is in good overall condition with some oxidation and rust as shown. Extremely Rare American Pat. dated March 13. 1860 Brass Ships Lantern! Same Patent date as Tufts Lanterns made in Boston and probably a Rare Tufts Lantern as shown. The date is on the bottom of the heavy glass Globe which is original to the Lamp. All Brass and in the early Bird Cage form. Complete with original Brass Whale Oil Burner, see photo#5. The Punched Tin Cone-top is fantastic, see photo#2. I see no damage or repairs and it measures 17 1/2" tall and 21" if you include the Ring Handle. 9" in diameter across the bottom. Quite heavy about 10 lbs. due mainly to the heavy glass Globe. A very rare piece of nautical History with 150 years of patina, never polished! RARE Antique Sterling and Other Metal Gimbaled Marine Lantern w/Enameled Base and Bone Handle- This is a very old gimbaled marine lantern that was obviously meant for the personal use of a sailor. The 1 1/2" ball fuel reservoir is attached to a cupped base to allow the lantern to be placed on a flat surface. The ball is enameled a beautiful red. It is 1 7/8" tall from the bottom of the base to the top. The base is 7/8" in diameter. Sterling and Other Metal" The number 37 and a maker's mark are engraved inside of the base. The handle is made of a type of bone.possibly whale bone? The handle length is 3 1/2" The total length is 6" It weighs about an ounce. CONDITION I've tried to show the dimpled side of the ball(there are 6 dimples) The minor scratches in the enameled area and the misshapen base. The handle ... morehas no chips. The vertical lines running through it appear to be more a characteristic of the material it's made of. The wick is missing. Rare Nautical Brass Lantern with Antler handle
I have a rare antique nautical lantern I'm told its from Chinese origin from whom I received it from. It is made of brass and can swivel( that keeps it level) from its antler handle. I don't see any markings on it but its obvious its an early lantern as the story goes the Chinese used it as a light on there fishing boats. The design allows one to carry/hold it or set it down as the antler having one spike on it and the flat of the lantern keeps it level. The brass shows some dents and wear marks but the antler is mint both showing wonderful patina. In great vintage condition! Measuring 11" long X lantern is 3 1/2" wide X 4" tall! Rare Solid Brass Ship's Binnacle Lantern Lamp c 1800's

Made in England for the colony of Newfoundland and used I believe on the coastal boats that delivered goods and services around the coast of Newfoundland before the present roads were built. As you can see from the pictures this was a working light used to light the compass on the sailing boats. The brass is very worn. The handle which is brass with an insert are skewed and have been like this since I acquired them and I would guess its from heavy usage in all kinds of weather The lantern is all original with original doors and clasps and glass. It also has the original oil burner with ceramic ... morewick holder. The wick turner is very stiff and probably needs oil. The burner is signed and trademarked Barton's(England) 9 3/4” from base to top of handle the base is not square but rather a circle with a flat front measuring approx 2 7/8 from front to back and 3 2/8 from side to side. Rare Real Antique Heavy Ship Lantern Red Lens and Burner 12" WW2 Excellent
Here is a great antique Ship Lantern. This is not a replica and is ori ginal. Since it was removed from a ship. The lens does have a few chips but no cracks. Burner is intact and easily removes from the bottom. This is h eavy and weighs about 9lbs. Dimensions are from the holes about 9 1/2" long by 8" wide by about 12" tall. I have been a seller on Ebay for 1 4 years. I do my best to follow the golden rule on all my sales. You can feel confident my efforts will be to exceed your expectations for this transaction. Rare Antique Perko Tri Brass Color Navigation Light Lantern Lamp w/Dietz Burner

This auction is for a rare and unique maritime lantern made by Perko with its original Dietz burner. It measures 8-1/2 inches tall. Is 5 inches wide across the back, 3 inches wide across the front, and is 4-3/8 inches deep. It has a flat back so that it can be mounted on a wall. It has one flaw, the latch for the door in back is broken. It is otherwise in excellent condition with no significant cracks, dents or breaks. The tri-colored original bullet lens glass is still in excellent condition. This is the one you want to complete your collection, so don't let this rare lantern get away! Rare fluted Fresnel antique vintage anchor lantern
Listed here is a very rare indeed fluted Fresnel lensed Anchor lantern from the 1930's-1940's. Possibly earlier. The lens in this lantern is very rare. As well as the Fresnel design. The lens is fluted as well, amplifying the brightness of the lantern. The glass lens is free of any chips or cracks. The lantern is galvanized metal and has some missing It looks to be converted to electricity. The wiring is no longer complete, therefore the light does not illuminate. Some cage arms are missing; there are dents in the metal. Also, the metal has been painted, as you can see. The lens is believed to be Perko; the lantern from"Wilcox Grittenden and Co. Though no markings have been found on the piece itself. The light measures approximately 10" tall from base to the apex of the ring and 4 1/2" in diameter. It weighs approximately ... more5 pounds. Rare WW2 Blue Navigational Lantern
Up for auction is a rare A. Ward Hendrickson navigational lantern. These lamps were used during World War 2 for ships to follow one another. Hung off the stern. The blue light was only seen from directly behind, allowing only the ship behind to see it. Very rare indeed, the lantern is big, standing almost two feet tall and in pristine condition. It has been stored in a container since the WW2 era, one of the remaining articles to the lost Arques Shipyard in Sausalito, CA. All proceeds benefit the Arques Wooden Boat School. The lantern has both port& starboard lenses, with a dividing plate between the ribbed red& deep aqua green glass. The lantern has old silver paint with typical surface age. The interior lamp is brass& shows surface greening. The wick advances. One of the two side mounting brackets on the interior lamp is missing. The lantern displays very nicely& the glass on the lantern is free of any chips or cracks. No dents. It measures 11" high to the top of the holding ring by 4.5" wide and 7" deep. This is a really unique Antique Neptune Kerosene oil lamp. Is little different from the ones I have searched& It seems to be in very good condition for it's age. The ship lantern stands at a tall 15" without the handle and is 8" wide. The oil glass pot comes out from the top by unhinging the front side then the lantern and flipping the top backwards. With a hook and a latch with a chain for closer. The glass brass oil lantern stands at 4" tall without glass lamp. Seems to be heavy about 6 to 7 pounds. Made out of brass with copper rivets. Has a handle. Also four glass panels. It has a new wick. Not sure if the wick is original it does appear unused. Antique Ship Nautical Lantern / Lamp - ca.1900 - WM. HARVIE - ENGLAND - Rare!
This brass hanging bulkhead ship's lantern is a rare example of the workmanship and quality of Wm. Harvie& Co. Ltd. Birmingham, England, one of the largest and finest nautical lighting manufacturers at the turn of the 20th century. Dating to around 1900, the lantern has a detachable kerosene burner and hand-blown font. Except for the wick, everything on the lantern is original. Measuring 17 inches tall. Excluding the ring handle. The lantern is marked with a plaque on the domed top. It reads, Wm. Harvie& Co. Ltd. 121 Bishop Street, Birmingham. It is substantial. Weighing over 5 pounds. The lantern is 6& 1/2 inches wide and 4& 1/2 inches deep. The detachable kerosene burner is accessed by a side door. Which has a sliding lock and a ring handle. This is a clean and fully functional"Ahlemann& Schlatter" ships lantern. It measures approximately 25" from bottom handle to top handle. And approximately 12" in width. The length of the lantern body is 18" and the lantern weighs almost 11 lbs. This lantern is made out of galvanized steel and it is LARGE! The lantern pictured on the right is the average size lantern you typically see listed on ebay and is used in the photo, so you can see the difference in size. It is not included in this sale. This is ideal for the person who prefers a lantern that has a more industrial look. There is not another Ahlemann& Schlatter lantern like this on ebay RARE! It's been wired for electric but there if no really alterations from that alteration, I just has a single wire through the top. NO CRACKS, DENTS or RUST. Just out of a local house is this Rare antique William Porter's Son and Co. binnacle lamp. The lamp is all brass and has a half round design. It is fitted with its original whale oil burner. These were made and advertised for use in steamboats of the period. The lamp measures 9 1/2 inches tall and 6 inches wide. The front measures 6 7/8 inches tall and 6 inches wide. It is in excellent condition for its age with only some lines in the brass cap on top and the font looks like it may have leaked. See photos. The lamp is nicely marked with the makers tag of William Porter's Son and Co. 194 Water Street New York. Beautiful antique ship's lantern- Not a reproduction Made by Universal Metal Spinning and Stamping Co. New York. The manufacturer is stamped into the side of the lantern. Markings on the top say"Port Classes II& III" This is a triangular shaped lantern and has a hinged door. Vented top, and a handle for carrying. The lens is thick and'ridged' and is red in color. I do not see any chips or cracks and it seems to be plastered into place on the inside. There is no burner in the lantern but I see two slanted brackets on the bottom that probably held a base of some kind. There appears to be some wax in the bottom- not much. But someone had a candle in there at one tim-Measures about 10" tall(not including the handle) and is about 7 1/4" wide from corner to corner. Up for sale here we have a Vintage Nautical Maritime Boat Ship Light Lantern 21" Brass RARE Ocean Sea Coast. This lantern is absolutely awesome. It has a very nice patina as you can see. This is the real deal and it was used. Someone at some point of time made it electrical light. The glass has a few chips in the extremely thick glass. There is a couple small dents. But you can't hardly tell with the colors of the lantern. This lantern is unmarked. It is very solid and well made. The lantern measures approximately 21"x11" With the handle up it is about 23.5" in height. It weighs a heavy 17lbs 12oz. We assume since this is from the sea and very old that it is made of brass.
