This Tung Woo lamp was originally a decorative feature on a Knob Creek electric table lamp that we bought at an estate sale. It was not altered for the wiring of the Knob Creek lamp. Antique Brass Ship's Lantern - "Not Under Command" nautical maritime vessel boat
For your consideration. Antique brass ship's lantern- tag says"Not Under Command" From the research I did. This was used in conjunction with another one to signal to other ship captains that the ship was not moving and not under active command of anyone. This has a great patina! This has what appears to be the original light socket and looks to be in good condition- but I'm no expert. There was once another tag welded to the top of this lantern. But probably removed when the current tag was placed. The glass lense is not cracked and the red insert looks good as well. There are expected minor dings and other blemishes that come with age and use on the ocean. This lantern weighs in at almost 20 pounds before packing. So will cost a little more to ship. Pair Vintage Copper Brass NEPTUNE NR Ship Lantern Lamp Nautical Maritime Cage NR
This auction is for a pair of vintage NEPTUNE NR copper and brass ship oil lamp lanterns. These lamps are in EXCELLENT estate found condition with a stunning and even patina. They are beautifully crafted from copper and brass and secured with a chain and hook in the front. These lanterns both have a badge at the top with the Neptune hallmark and NR. All of the glass is in beautiful condition(with the exception of some dust from being displayed) The globe inside is also in excellent condition with no chips or cracks. The oil lamp inside is secured to a metal wire that stays in place by sliding down two opposing corners inside. And sits very securely inside with no wobble. I do not know the age of the lanterns, and have seen only a few similar, but most of then have all brass cages(die to the reddish tint I do believe this is mostly copper) ... moreor have been polished. None have been found also with this exact badge in the same place and this stunning copper patina with the reddish copper undertones that almost glow through. This has not been cleaned or polished, but I'm sure would polish up nicely if the buyer wishes to do so. Each lantern stands 15"high without handle, and 17 1/2" tall with handle, by approx 7"wide. 1900s Great Britain Cargo Light- Vintage Maritime Nautical Brass Square Antique Lantern. This exquisite brass maritime cargo light is in good condition. The top opens and closes with a latch. The wick rolls up and down freely and appears to be about new. There is no oil or kerosene. This was part of my grandparent's estate. The glass panels are intact. Antique MARITIME NAUTICAL SHIP LANTERN Red Glass Copper & Brass
Up for bids is a great marine piece- an antique ship lantern. This nautical lantern is made of brass and copper metals and a beautiful piece of red onion glass. It has a sloped top which keeps water and rain from the inside of it. The red onion glass is encompassed by protective brass pieces which prevent it from being damaged when it swings. This lantern also has both the top pivoting brass hanger. AND the bottom one. I see very few of these lanterns that were made with these, and if so they no longer have the bottom one. At some point someone has removed the kerosene drum/holder and started the process of making this electrical. I have not attempted to complete this. It is fitted with a very simple bulb holder and a turning switch which still turns and clicks. This has in no means detracted from the beauty of this lantern and will make ... moreit simpler to electrify if someone chooses to do so. This lantern is in fantastic vintage condition. It has wear associated and common with its age but overall really nice! If someone chooses to polish this it will shine like new. The glass is in very good condition. It has some wear marks. Rough spots, or minor chipping on the rims/edges but no breaks. The wear is only from where it is fitted into the copper ends. These marks are not seen or noticable when the lantern is put together. The glass itself has some air bubbles but only visible upon close examination. The sloped top has several small dents in it. The two copper caps look very good and I do not see any dents or tears in them. The brass hangers and glass protectors have only age patina to them but otherwise perfect. The measurements of this lantern is 25 1/2" when hanging from the top of the hanging attachment to the tip of the bottom attachment. The glass is approx. 6 1/2" high by 8 1/2" around. I've taken this apart to show the insides of the pieces and the area where the electrical work was started. Also. When I ship it will come separated like this. Vintage nautical Ship sconces lights Maritime Heavy Glass Brass Rare Beautiful
A very rare and beautiful pair of brass ship nautical Wall sconces. They could have been originally oil lights and converted to electric but I have no idea. They are made of heavy brass roughly 8lbs each with heavy steel bases. They are roughly 15 1/2" straightened up. The base or wall mount is 5 1/2" round as the same as the heavy glass bowl beneath the light. They are both are made to move which ever position you desire sideways. Up, down, etc. Just loosen the bolt and retighten. There is one bolt missing and there was another replaced. They are in exceptional condition with no breaks or repairs. As you can see in my picture the wall mount bases there is a slight discoloration which is very hard to see. The glass is very thick and it looks like one is a shade darker than the other and possibly one is greenish and the other is ... morereddish or darker green. They are both the same shape as also the lamps. They are identical. Don't know if because of the light over the years made one a bit darker than the other. Very hard to find these nautical sconces. The green one has some damage on the top stack(see close up) and some oil residue on the front. These are 10.25" tall. The ribbed lens are in very good shape. Have not found anything like this on e-bay. If you are truly looking for a unique and extremely rare set of maratime lanterns that are 100% AUTHENTIC" you have come to the right place today. These would be absolutely awesome pieces to add to your collection. ABSOLUTELY No one is going to have these. I encourage you to search e-bay and the internet for another"set" of these. You will not find them anywhere! With that being said, these brass Antique lanterns are truly beautiful as they are wonderful! They also have benefits" In each lantern, their are two compartments, and upper and a lower. One lantern which has two green lenses on the top and bottom is called the side light. Their are metal name tags on each one indicating their use. Serial number and etc. which verfies its authencity. They both have light sockets mounted ... morein the upper and lower chambers of the lanterns which make these beautiful lanterns usable. See the pictures for an example of this. The other lantern has an upper and lower chamber with clear lenses with light sockets installed in both chambers as well and this one according to its name plate is the Stern light. You can use these inside as lamps or outside as lamps since they are airtight. They are over just 18 inches tall and almost 10 inches wide. Everything on these two unique and extremely rare lanterns are operatable. Every screw and bolt does what it should. The white stuff you see in the pictures is, I'm guessing is someone at one time, tried to use brass cleaner and did a bad job. I would personally leave them the way they are, but if you want to clean them up, they should shine like the sun. In order to use them. This sale is for an Antique Working Gimbal Lamp with an Edison socket cover and Bryant Mica Switch appearing all original un-cleaned with a natural aged brass patina. It is a wall or table lamp used for railroad or maritime and swings to stay level with a weighted base. It has a Hubbell shade ring but no shade. I am an old gal who purchased this at an estate sale. The old fellow was the nephew of the tug boat owner that this light came off of. He couldn't remember now long ago but he said'decades' I looks on eBay for information and found it was made by Russell& Stoll Co. It is 10 1/2" over all the the wall/boat mount area is a circle that is 6" across the center. It is very heavy at 6 pounds without packageing materials/box. It is in 3 pieces. The case that screws in over the light globe. The glass globe which also screws in and the back that the globe and case both screw into. The glass globe reads in raised glass"P C. CO. and also has a number too that reads"9-S-4971-L" and the globe has no broken glass at all. It is thick and domed. The case is thick metal and embossed"2406B" and"R& ... moreS CO. and has no damage. There is a turn knob on the base that is embossed"R& S CO. N.Y. Here I have a Navy Hand Lantern up for auction with a reserve.The draft holes in this lantern aren't shaped light the Wilcox Crittenden or early Perkins Marine Lamps. For this reason I would say it is one of the earliest Models of the design. The glass is blue with no chips. The lantern itself has some very minor dings in one area and one minor dent. The patina is dark and rich.All moving parts work as they should. Lamp. Shipping box, and shipping material weigh between 4- 5 lbs. I will be shipping this piece in a box with tissue.
