PAIR BRASS HANGING SHIPS LANTERN LIGHT LAMP EARLY ELECTRIC BIG AND HEAVY BOAT
ok here today we have 2 early electric large heavy brass ships lanterns. please I am not an expert on maritime so if i make any errors let me know. these stand 14 inches to the top of the handle and almost 11 inches when the handle is down. the diameter of the base is 7 1/4 and the height of the actual glass globe inside is 5 3/4 inches and the diameter of the globe is 4 inches the op cap is held on with 4 thumb screws most of which are good. a couple have some thread loss and do not grip well. one lantern has an additional screw on piece on the top of the cap to accept the electric line. the bottom has a hinged cover with glass insert. unknown if it is original. each lantern has a small hinge on the bottom so you can open and close the hatch to change bulbs. one hinge is missing 1 screw.the othe issue is the handle is broken off on 1 lantern ... morebut i do have it and it can be welded back on. please look at the photos and ask me questions.if you need a specific photo of any part let me know. I did show photos of the broken off handle the mechanism still functions just need to reattach the handle. the shade is 2 part mold glass clear and free of any damage.there are no markings that would help me identify the manufacturer or ship. they will be shipped separately and the total shipping is 45 dollars' No international sales, I go to great lengths to call all issues even some that really are not,so that we are all on the same page when looking at these lanterns

This copper hanging light has a beautiful patin that if buyer decides to polish up it would also be a beautiful sight to see.The copper has crosses soldered on fronts of amber glass openings and it also has copper wire ties on 2 opposite sides the hanging rod is also copper it also includes the electrical j box and a pyramid copper cover.The light need new wiring and a new light socket. Offered for sale is a vintage nautical navigation light. It has an internal. And removable ABCO oil lamp. I believe that it is made from copper and solder-joined. The only markings on it are on the oil lamp adjuster. ABCO 1) The chimney has a swivel top to allow access to the lamp globe. All the wires are present. All the frosted glass shades are in great shape. There are some scratches on the ship wheel. But those can be touched up pretty easy if desired. One og the hanging lanterns is missing a twist on fastener for the top of one of the rods that goes from top to bottom. This does not effect the use. All in all this is a great nautical piece. We recovered this light and soda blasted all the old paint off followed by a hand polishing job! We have custom made the brass pipe and ceiling mounting plate to allow for easy installation on your project. The ceiling mounting plate is 5 3/4 inches wide with four screw holes. Each light has a total height of about 32 inches. The mounting pipe is about 12 inches long and the copper and brass housing is about 20 inches tall. Recent estate sale find looking for a new home. This lamp is in working condition and shows a great patina. All glass is intact. There are two dents noted and pictured in frames 6-7. One on top of"shoulder" and the other on top of lid. They only add to the great character of the piece. Lamp height is approximately 14 1/2 inches with a body about 7 inches square. Antique PERKO Perkins Marine Lamp Boat Ship Lantern Hanging Light Red Lens
This is a great Perkins"PERKO" Marine lantern or bow light. The lantern is about 18" tall counting the handle. The lens is heavy red glass and can be seen from all sides(360 degrees) The lantern works off of oil or kerosene. The reservoir and wick are in tack and working. The Perkins metal tag is still in place(too dark to get into photo) There are some small nicks and I can see what looks like brass under the black paint. I believe the paint is original to the lantern. The lantern is heavy. Over 7 pounds. Lanterns like this were used on large ships as a warning light or bow light. This is an antique nautical maritime copper lantern ceiling. Porch, or hallway light fixture. It was manufactured by the Metrolite Manufacturing Co. The only info I could find on this company was from the 1930s which is likely commensurate with the age and patina on this lantern fixture. It measures 15 inches long from ceiling canopy to base. The base diameter of the lantern is 6-1/4 inches. The interior"jelly jar" glass measures 4-3/4 inches long and 4-1/4 inches in diameter. This light has been totally rewired with all new UL-Listed parts rated for any voltage of 250 volts or less. The new bulb holder takes a normal screw in house bulb of 100 watts or less.
