Not quite sure what this is but it is well made. I believe it is a boat quadrant but I could be wrong. I believe it is made of bronze or something like it. It is not steel. You could see some very shiny areas poking through so I believe this would shine up nicely. It is about 11" x 11" There was also a bronze key attached with it but not quite sure what it is for. It appears that an antique 5 pound Navy anchor has been transformed into a lamp by attaching a very well made brass adjustable hood shade embellished with an applied copper design of sailboats and then wired. The workmanship is of professional quality but certainly could have been“home made” The bottom of the anchor(base) is marked on the topside“5” and on the underside“WC& Co” and the word”NAVY” The lamp works; there is a functioning pull chain for on/off. Vintage Pauluhn Ship's Bronze / Brass Wall Light Salvage find.
This is a recovered"Pauluhn" Bronze/ Brass Ship's Light that was salvaged by a personal friend of mine over 30 years ago(Captain Gardner. RIP) This was rinsed off once over 30 years ago and not touched since. It still has the grit/ mud/ sediment from the bottom of the waters clinging to it as the day it was brought up on deck. I knew this Captain friend of mine for many years and he gave this to me with other salvaged Nautical Items as I built my collection(HE was in the salvage business for over 20 years along the Gulf Coast) We lost Captain Gardner in 2004 and I think about the great stories we shared over the years. I am down sizing and want to pass this on to somebody that might be able to appreciate it almost as much as I have. I could clean this up, but I am going to leave this to your discretion. You can look anywhere ... moreand find polished ship items but this one is an original from the deep. If my memory serves correct, the good Captain told me that this item came from a self propelled wood hull barge that sunk in Galveston Bay. This red light was used inside the exit doors of Navy ships so the enemy couldn't see lights at night when the doors were opened by sailors. It measures approx. 8 inches tall and 4+3/4 inches wide. Made by GLUHLAMPE M KENNZ. The glass has minor scratches and scuffs with no chips or no cracks. The lense housing screws on and off and the glass in the end of it is red. Sitting this in front of a window it looks like the light is turned on- This piece is Very heavy with the brass construction- embossed 9-S-4461-L on top. There is some patina and light scratches on cast bronze brass housing-looking down into center of lens glass. Part of the electrical cord remains inside- This piece sits on a wood blog base with the cord that enters the bottom of lantern and runs thru the center of wood block base that measures 9" x 9 1/2" This Fresnel lantern light overall height is 7 1/2" sitting on wood block and weighs more than 13 lbs. This red glass lantern has Fresnel lens all-round lantern with protective brass bars and bronze screw on top. Here is a very old QUALITY made BRASS/ BRONZE? NAUTICAL SHIP LIGHT. This ANTIQUE NAVIGATION light has a 6 1/2 inch base across and is about 5 1/2 inches tall. This light has really nice AGED PATINA and is a GREAT SHOW DISPLAY PIECE. there ARE 5 base bolts with this light. There are no interior parts. The glass shows on only 1/2 side of the light which was probably for a forward facing deck light. I DO NOT KNOW IF THIS WAS FROM A SHIP MAST? There are no makers marks. Very HEAVY about 7 lbs. old Bronze/brass/copper ship's nautical running lights
A pair of port and starboard kerosene ships running lights. I call them"old" since I suspect my brother bought them in a foreign country many years ago when he was in the merchant marine. I hesitate to call them"authentic" since they have plates on them which state: Port. Starboard. I don't think real sailors need to be reminded what the red and green lenses denote. They are constructed of copper/brass/bronze, appear to be plastic green/red lenses, approximately 12.5 inches high, 7.5 inches across. The starboard kerosene insert is slightly bent(not visible when door closed. If you purchase and are unsatisfied, of course I will take them back for a refund(only minus shipping)

Vintage Brass Bronze PERKO Marine Masthead PURPLE Signal Lantern Early 1900s
Very Rare PURPLE Masthead Signal Lantern made by Perko from the early 1900s. This piece is in remarkable shape including a lens with no cracks and only a couple minor chips. Additionally it contains all of the original lamp socket hardware. Once it has new wiring installed it will function as new assuming you can find the appropriate light bulbs. Five bulbs are included but have not been tested. The Brass/Bronze casing has some residual paint spots from a few paintings over the years. The Brass up rods also have some discoloration. This all lends itself perfectly to the wonderful patina of this maritime treasure. Due to it's amethyst colour. The Fresnel lens is likely to have been made of manganese dioxide decolorized glass which was produced up until about 1920. The PERKO trademark was registered by Perkins Marine Lamp. Offered for your consideration is this nice PAIR of kerosene oil lights. Made by the Marine-Division of the Artistic Brass and Bronze Works New York NY. Each light has a makers tag attached to the front of the base. Both lights look to be pretty complete with oil burner and chimneys still there. Sorry no wall mounting brackets. I am not sure if the wicks are still in them. The knob that raises and lowers the wick is very hard to turn on both lanterns. I think the wick mechanism needs to be cleaned. There is a very minor amount of corrosion on the tops of the bases. Each lantern measures about 18" tall to the top of the handle. Base measures about 7" across. Great Matching Pair of Old. Marine Ship's Lantern Lamps. These look like Brass.and they also look like Bronze.I can't be sure. I DO know that the Handles are Bronze. I am estimating that these probably date back to Late World War I or Early World War II and may well have been used on military vessels and/or Merchant marine vessels. They are Electric and have Rotating Shutters both on the body and in the bottoms of the lamps. In this way, the light could be closed off both from the sides and the bottoms as need be.kind of an early manual rheostat. These both Measure 8" Tall to the top of the Threaded, Screw-in Lid. The lid, itself measures 3 3/4" Diameter and has a 1 1/2" tall Wire Pass-through apparatus. To the top of the extended handle measures 12" The Base of the lantern measures 5 1/2" Diameter. Each of ... morethese Weigh a hefty 8 3/4 Lbs. Both lids have the Original Removable Light Bulb Sockets. Condition: Number THREE(see pics) is 100% Complete in that it has the little handle sticking off of the side of the rotating shutter for ease of opening and closing the shutter. Number ONE is missing that little handle. That's the only difference. The bottom slide on Number ONE is bent a bit but because it's made of very thin brass. It can EASSILY be pressed back into shape.I'll leave that up to the winning bidder along with re-wiring them. This striking original bronze lantern contains a large, clear 360° glass Fresnel lens. Casting is heavy duty bronze, and is marked in the casting"U.S.C.G. Lovell Arlington, NJ. Lantern is 200 mm size and stands about 21 ½” to top. Overall diameter approximately 9" and weighs approx. 55 pounds. Lens measures 7” high by approximately 8 5/8” in outside diameter. Antique 1893 Royal B and H Railroad Bronze Brass Oil Lamp Lantern 120 YRS OLD
Up for sale is an Antique Bronze Royal Lantern. It is also marked B& H on the fill cap. Which I assume is for the Railroad. There isn't a globe with this. Nor handles, but it does have several early 1890's Pat. No on the cap and around the rim. It is in good condition with some green corrosion around the bottom and small dents in the body. It has scratches and other usage marks. But I don't see any cracks or holes. The coil springs on the inside need to be reset when a new wick is put in place. It is empty and untested. Rare BOAT BOW LIGHT Bronze Red/Green Boat Light "TEARDROP STYLE" Brass/Bronze
Here is a VERY NICE OLD heavy 2 1/2 pound BRONZE/BRASS Boat Bow Light. This has a red/green plastic lens held to the light with a front screw on bracket. This appears to have been once chrome plated and there are a couple of specs where some has remained but it mostly a"HIGH GLOSSY POLISHED" Light. This"TEARDROP STYLE" light is about 5 1/4 long and 4 inches tall. There is a mounting bracket base that is attached to the light base ALL ONE PIECE. There are no mounting screws. There is wiring but no inside bulb. I do not know what type of old boat this came from but I have not seen one like this. VERY UNIQUE PIECE. There is a slot on top where a flag would be mounted. Antique ship nautical boat electric lamp light. Brass bronze coppper? Oakford
Up for auction to U.S. customers only is an old ship's light with Fresnel glass(no chips or cracks to glass) It stands 15 inches tall and the wire cage is 8 inches across. I am not sure if the primary metal is brass. Copper or bronze- or a combination-but a magnet doesn't stick to it. It is very heavy. It is made by Oakford. There is a light bulb socket inside but it probably isn't original and, without the cord plug, I can't test it. If it was originally electric powered, then the wire outlet on the side looks like it held a much larger power cord. The lid screws onto the top for access to the inside. I'm not sure how it was used on board the vessel- some other listings refer to it as a mast light, others describe it for use on dock pilings, others say it lit the passageways on the ship. If anyone knows for sure, let ... moreme know and I'll add it to the listing. Overall it seems in very good condition with a few relatively minor scratches to the lower finish and, of course, the green discoloration which some people call patina and want it left on the piece so I didn't try to clean up that section(new owner can do that) I don't know anything else about this item so please ask questions. It was wired for ship use as it has a ground wire as well? it has a very thick red glass with a few chips& cracks from use& age. nothing that compromises it's usage or condition. it weighs 11 pounds& is 10" x 6" the light itself has been tested& works. it has not been cleaned or polished by us, although it looks like someone took scouring pad or steel wool to some areas, none of which has caused any permanent or bad damage, but you can see these areas in pictures. the one crack we found is only on the inside of glass& can only be seen when held up to light& spun til found. Bronze brass navy ship mast light works
Antique bronze and brass navy mast light. Made by L.L.R. CO. Not sure what it stands for. Not sure what ship this came from from I'd say it's from the 40's or 50's. It has been 100% restored. I pulled the old wires out and wired it for normal household use. The bronze was very dark when I got this item so it has been sandblasted and has 2 clear coats to retain color. The brass rods were cleaned. All the lights on the inside have been replaced. The glass was also cleaned. Amazing piece! Stands 15" tall. HAS A SECURE TOP AND BOTTOM MOUNTING BRACKET AND THEN THE LAMP SITS INTO THE BRACKET WHICH SWINGS. THE OIL LAMP ITSELF IS RIVETED TO A RING THAT IS AGAIN RIVETED TO THE BRACKET THAT LETS IT SWING. SO IT WOULD HAVE BEEN VERY SECURE. THERE IS A HINGE AREA THAT LETS YOU OPEN THE BURNER TOP TO ADJUST THE WICK AND FILL THE LANTERN. IT OPENS EASILY AND SNAPS SECURELY ALSO. Vintage Brass or Bronze Boat Mast Light
This is a vintage mast light made of either brass or bronze. It measures 5" high and 4" wide. One of the support rods is broken off along with one of the nuts as the pictures show. The clear fresnel globe is free of cracks and chips. The only markings I could locate on the light was 9-S-5496-L. There is no international shipping and the free shipping is domestic shipping only.

Pauluhn P57 Heavy Cast Brass / Bronze Nautical Maritime Angular Caged Light
This auction is for a Pauluhn P57 Cast Brass/ Bronze Nautical Maritime Angular Caged Light Fixture Fixture weighs about 3.5 lbs and measures about 11" from the top of the circular plate to the bottom of the cage. The circular plate is 4" across. The cage is 4 1/4" across& about 6" tall from bottom of cage to screw threads. Pauluhn" is cast into the cage and the angular mounting. P57" is also cast into the angular mounting. There is one part at the top of the cage that appears as though it was buffed to a shine. It is on the opposite side of"Pauluhn" casting, so it is on the backside of the cage.Please see all pictures. This fixture is the cage and angled mounting only. There is no glass nor wiring included.
