Being offered is a great pair of antique tin. Port and starboard ship lanterns. This pair measure 11" tall from top loop and are in good condition with plenty of wear, minor dents, a gold paint job and some minor chips on the reflectors(see pic 6& 7) The interior of both are as shown but they did come with two tin plates that originaly held the oil lamp. PAIR OF ANTIQUE COPPER LANTERNS These are gorgeous pair of kerosene lanterns. Copper body with fresnel glass these lanterns will light up any corner of house or backyard. The lanterns come two handles. One handle on top and one at the bottom. It looks like all the parts in the lantern are intact. I am really not sure if anything is missing. These lanterns are actually salavged from decommissioned ships like most of our other products and not cheap reproductions. The lantern 1 has" METEORITE 137084" NOT UNDER COMMAND" engraved on it. Lantern 2 has" METEORITE 137083" NOT UNDER COMMAND" engraved on it. Dimensions: Height- 20 inches appx Base: 10 inches appx Condition: One lantern has more wear and tear and signs of use than the other. The other lantern has an upper and lower chamber with clear lenses with light sockets installed in both chambers as well and this one according to its name plate is the Stern light. You can use these inside as lamps or outside as lamps since they are airtight. They are over just 18 inches tall and almost 10 inches wide. Everything on these two unique and extremely rare lanterns are operatable. Every screw and bolt does what it should. The white stuff you see in the pictures is, I'm guessing is someone at one time, tried to use brass cleaner and did a bad job. I would personally leave them the way they are, but if you want to clean them up, they should shine like the sun. In order to use them. We don't know how old these are but expect them to be well over 100 years. Solid copper and thick Fresnel glass they are marked W Neil- Port Glasgow. Matching pair each weighs around 19 pounds. Are 20" tall not counting the hangers, and 10" in diameter. These old oil maritime lanterns had been retrofit previously for 110V and probably hung as outdoor sconces. They are approximately 10" tall and the globes have a 6" diameter. According to an expert's research. These were most certainly made by" Perko" the Perkins Lamp Company. Brooklyn, NY. They date to the first quarter of the 1900s. The glass bulbs look like they may be a later replacement as they don't have the original"Perko" embossed onto the bulbs. There is some minor evidence of resoldering, likely when the bulbs were replaced. The bulbs are in very good condition, with no chips or cracks. Beautiful pair of antique kerosene boat lanterns c.1850-1870 for sale
This is a pair of antique kerosene-burning boat lanterns that were used on sailing ships and barges worldwide in the period 1850-1870. These specific items were manufactured by R.E. Dietz Co. 221 Wilkinson Street, Syracuse, New York. One glass lens is green, the other is red to mark the starboard and port sides of the vessel at night so that it was visible to other boats. The lanterns are made of black sheet metal, the lenses are solid glass, and they are 11" tall. The original kerosene burners and wicks are intact. There is a receptacle on the back of each lantern for hanging them on the ship or barge. These lanterns are in excellent condition for relics of this age. Pair Huge Brass Antique/Vtg Port/Starboard Navigation Lanterns-DURKEE-18" Tall Up for your consideration is a pair of huge brass antique or vintage ships port& starboard navigation lanterns by DURKEE. They measure approx. 11" W X 18" H-See images compared to 2 liter soda bottle. Both lanterns have their original light socket fixtures. However they were cut to be removed from the ship and one of the lanterns has an electric cord added, but easily removed with no modification of the lantern. There is a beautiful patina to the brass. I'm not sure how old they are, but probably 30's-40's. They are very heavy and well made. The mirrors attached to inside back of lantern are spotted from age, there are a few dings in the brass-see images. One is totally complete. The other is missing the two brass bands that hold ... morethe glass in. These bands appear simple to replicate and attach with small screws. Also the glass has a small chip on the inside of the glass. The screw in cap on top of one lantern is marked DURKEE MARINE PRODUCTS CORP STATEN ISLAND, N.Y. the other is not. Both glasses are marked DURKEE MARINE PROD and have bubbles in the glass. They both may be missing some sort of band around the top as there is discoloration there and some holes. These would be awesome restored and either used on a ship or decor for a man cave or nautically inspired room! Scarce Pair Antique National Marine Lamp Maritime Navy Anchor Red Globe Lanterns
Just out of a local house is this nice pair of Red globe maritime lanterns. Our lantern books show that they were called Globe Lanterns.Navy Lanterns, Signal Lanterns, or Anchor Lights. This pair was made by the National Marine Lamp Co. around 1900. The lamps are galvanized and measure about 15 5/8 inches tall to the top of the ring or about 14 inches to the top of the lantern with the ring folded down. It measures about 9 1/2 inches wide. They are both in good condition. One has a brass tag marked MF'RD by National Marine Lamp Co. New York. The globe has no cracks but has some paint on the surface and some light scratching. It is missing the catch for the bottom door and the font is missing. The other lantern is not marked with the makers plate. The globe has some paint on it and has some light scratching as well but no cracks. It does ... morehave its original font with the burner marked National Marine Lamp Co. They are completely intact and considering their age. In excellent condition. They haven't been altered or painted and have a gorgeous patina present. Heck, who am I kidding, they haven't been touched(dusted) in years. Yes, those are cobwebs you see in the photos! The hinged doors haven't been opened in probably 50 years so you can imagine my surprise while opening to take photos finding the original oil containers with the wicks still intact. All writing on both lanterns is in Japanese. I don't detect any breaks. Chips or cracks in the colored lenses or glass. Antique Navigational Wilcox & Crittenden Port & Starboard Oil Lantern Pair
For Sale is a very nice set of 2 original oil burning nautical. Maritime Navigational Lanterns.The main housing is constructed of galvanized iron and the top cover is copper. However they have not been shined up. The original manufacturer was Wilcox& Crittenden& Co. There trademark was Capital W with a Capital C embossed on top of one another. The factory was in Middletown, CONN. USA. There is a photo of the Logo which appears to be embossed on brass, it is on the side, located on top of a metal sleeve, which is riveted on the lantern itself. This sleeve must have been used to slip over something to hold it secure to the ship. Both sleeves are intact and extremely secure. This embossing is very difficult to capture in a photo as the glare, and clarity of a photo so close. The lanterns stand just shy of 13" tall with the hanging ... moreloop standing up. They are made to fit in a corner. The sides measure 5" With the front curving around to meet the 2 sides. The glass itself is 5" tall and is almost 90 degrees. One lantern has fresnel green glass for the starboard, and the lantern with the fresnel red glass is for the port. The glass on both lanterns is in very good shape and have no cracks or chips. The metal round accesses to the oil chambers/wicks are both present and appear tight when screwed in. The wick chambers need cleaning, but seem to work, and even have wick left in them! We didn't attempt to light them, but knowing something about oil lanterns, don't see any reason they wouldn't work, however this isn't a guarantee. just presenting things honestly. The metal. Nowhere, on either lantern shows any sign of rust. However they are a brown color. Paint appears to be old, in some places chipping, or peeling off. There are the usual signs of true usage. Wear and tear. Overall appear to be in very good shape. I have not checked them for leakage, however on inspection, I don't see any reason they would leak. I have no idea how old they are. Large antique pair of Perkins Marine Lanterns/bale handles/very early 1900s
This is a large and impressive pair of fishing shack-fresh Perkins Marine Lanterns that date to the very early 1900s. Each carries a Perkins label at the base. While these are heavily oxidized. I think they are made of brass, or perhaps copper. I can see both a yellow and more copper brown peeking through. The lamps are large- 19&1/2" to the top of the handle- the lantern itself about 16" high. Both have white globes. Condition is as found and as shown. Please look at all photos to form your own opinion of quality and condition. First off, both are missing their burners. Each also has some cracks/breaks on the lips that hold the globes. One is missing a vertical bar that protects the glass. The globes have no breaks or cracks- one has a bit of a rough edge on one of the rims. PAIR OF ANTIQUE SHIP'S RUNNING LIGHTS This is a very attractive pair of ship's lights. Made of galvanized metal. Nicely weathered. Believe that were made in the 1920's.They are not a matching pair but they are pretty well matched as they are of identical style and dimension. The Port light has a badge with the inscription"British Manufacture" and because of the style and construction is to be believed that the Starboard light is of the same origin. Both have slide out oil burners with respective wicks and glass tubes, the wick adjusters are working normally. The Starboard blue-green glass is cracked but is firmly set and not at all loose(see photo) Measurements: 11 1/2" tall(without handle) x 6"wide x 6"wide. Pair of Antique of Perko Nautical Lamps DESCRIPTION Perko from Brooklyn. New York. These pieces are made out of galvanized steel and an oil canister. They also have red and green glass lenses on them. CONDITION Good Condition: but quite a bit of age and use related wear. These pieces are in all original condition with some visible age to them. The base oil lantern piece had pegs that I assume held it to the light assembly when rotated but these are worn down and do not hold it in place while hung. 2 MATCHING PERKO MARINE LAMPS These two matching Perko lamps were the running lights of a Chesapeake Bay Bugeye(the Richard J. Vetra) in the 1930's. They are in good condition and measure approx. 8" high and 5.5" on each side and 8" across the top. The lamps are brass with glass lenses- red and green. The Perko stamp is on a back panel. Though hard to read. The lamps open by sliding down a back panel. The electrical connection has a brass cover and chain. There are no cracks or chips in the heavy glass. The brass cases have age-related dust, a few dents, some oxidation inside, scratches and scuffing. Power cords are cut and may need to be replaced. Please email with any questions. The lanterns stand 9" tall with the glass globe. Original globes in very good shape. A great addition to any old maritime theme.

These Wilcox& Crittenden Marine lanterns have been converted to electric. Both lights work.
