VINTAGE WEDGE MARITIME SHIPS OIL KEROSENE LANTERN 2
This is a Wedge"vintage" Lantern. I do not know how vintage it is. But I think it is pre 1978. It does not appear to ever have been used. The brass could use cleaning(tape marks and tarnish) It comes with a bracket for hanging. It measures about 13" high, including the hanger. It has a sticker on the top"made in Taiwan, Republic of China" I have a pair of these, so look for the other auction.

Telford Grier& Mackay 1915 Glasgow Ship Lantern 22-1/2" Tall Antique? I do not know much history on this lantern. Not sure of the exact date, or if it was used on the actual ship. It appears to be from the 1910's, by the inscription that is on the front of the lantern reading: Telford Grier& Mackay Glasgow 1915. There is also an inscription on the back reading Telford Grier& Mackay Glasgow 1916 Physically appears to be in good condition. Has patina on the metal, some minor scratches and dings No cracks in the thick glass that I can see. The lantern measures 22-1/2" tall without the handle and 27" tall with handle extended up. Approximately 10-1/2" from front to back and 15" from side to side at the widest points. Whole thing weighs just over 27 lbs and will weigh around 32 with packing materials. Beautiful antique ship's lantern- Not a reproduction Made by Universal Metal Spinning and Stamping Co. New York. The manufacturer is stamped into the side of the lantern. Markings on the top say"Port Classes II& III" This is a triangular shaped lantern and has a hinged door. Vented top, and a handle for carrying. The lens is thick and'ridged' and is red in color. I do not see any chips or cracks and it seems to be plastered into place on the inside. There is no burner in the lantern but I see two slanted brackets on the bottom that probably held a base of some kind. There appears to be some wax in the bottom- not much. But someone had a candle in there at one tim-Measures about 10" tall(not including the handle) and is about 7 1/4" wide from corner to corner. Antique Copper Perko Marine Anchor Lantern 14.5 Inces Tall #2
Old Perko lantern ready for display/use. This piece was wired as a light but I removed the wiring because it was faulty. It can very easily be rewired or I think a candle glowing inside would make this piece. Typical wear for this piece few dents and cracks in copper. The glass is original and has a nick near bottom ridge(pictured) The glass is marked Perko. The very bottom is missing one clip and there is a bees tiny nest in top. i was able to remove most of it but a small piece remains. Measures aprox. 14.5 inches tall. I am not sure what the use of this lantern was. I am not 100% sure if this is brass or copper. it is light weight for its size(9 lbs) it measures just under 2 feet tall and about 9.5 inches across. There are NO makers marks that I can find on this piece. So what do we have? A square lantern with glass with glass doors and a cup with 2 lidded containers on top. So is this maybe a Primus Stove? I can see it being a Coal Miner or Maritime Soldiers lantern they could sit and relax for meal time and have a hot cup of coffee? Is this a Fall Out Shelter Emergency light and stove? T his item is representative of that time. People simply f illed the"spoon" with slow burning whale oil and hung a fuse off the end and lit it. Davey& Co London Brass Ship's Oil Lamp/ Lantern- This beautiful marine/ nautical oil lantern features a hinged burner and clear glass chimney enclosed in a plate glass and brass cage with a vented top and wire handle. The top of the lantern has an embossed oval mark which reads. Davey& Co. 88 West India Dock Rd, London. 14 1/2" tall x 6 1/2" wide- It is in great condition for its age with some minor surface wear and rust. It is unknown if the lamp works as it was not tested. Which means it is good for a boat that is 16' to 40' It is solid brass and is complete with it's oil tank. Wick and glass globe. It has no dings or scratches. Found at an estate sale and just passing it along. The Perko lantern has a weighted base and swings on a gimbal mount and is in excellent shape less a good cleaning and of course fuel and a new wick. There are no dents at all guaranteed. The lantern stands 6' tall without the glass globe. Looks to have the original globe and is in good shape also. A great addition to any old maritime theme. Pair of 2- Old Brass ship lanterns. Made by the PERKINS MARINE LAMP CORP. out of Brooklyn New York. Brass Has a beautiful natural aged patina. The original glass lens is starting to turn a very slight amethyst color. The lanterns inside were made by E. MILLER Co. And are marked. Look at the pictures closely. This is exactly the way I found them. I think they would polish up nicely. They measure about 17-1/2" tall(including the bail) and each weighs close to 9 pounds. In excellent condition. And would clean up nicely if you choose to do so. Both show expected wear. And have a few dings. Overall in Very Good Condition.
