And the base measures 2 1/8" wide. There are 2 small dents in the top dome, which can be popped out should you decide to do so(I will leave that up to the successful bidder) The burner has a wick and the wick turner works most of the time(a couple of times when I tried it it did not work but that may be due to the wick being so old. VINTAGE MARINE LAMP BY PERKINS MARINE HARDWARE (PERKO)
Wonderful old marine lantern from an estate along the Ohio River. No dents or scratches and an excellent fresnel lens. The lamp seems to be original. It stands 9" tall and 7" in diameter. The body is copper and has a small brass makers tag on the bottom edge. Lamp weighs about 5# This is called a dock light and is missing a battery box which attaches to the bottom. I have lowered my asking price to reflect this. Would still make a great light or display piece.

Very unusual folk art lamp. The captain is standing on a pier or dock. Ducks to his left and the ducks are made with real feathers, hemp roped pylons to his rear, buoy behind him,seagull flying, ladder going up the pylons, wooden keg, fishing net and even a rat. The folk artist that assembled it has his initials on the ladder. Shade is original to the lamp and sort of a burlap look outside with a paper liner inside. Switch is 3 way and works, wiring looks ok. The lamps are clear lacquered and require no polishing. It has an etched glass globe that is frosted on the upper portion with a print pattern on the bottom There is a slot on the handle where the lamp can be hung on the wall and the base holds the lamp oil. This early style kerosene burner combination navigation light with Fresnel lenses made by the National Marine Lamp Co. of New York. This lamp was made prior to 1912 since after that date National Maritime were marked with a patent date of 1912 or used the trade name“Triplex” This is an early example since the company was founded in 1906. This lamp is most suitable for someone seeking this shielded design of which only a few have survived. It has a great deal of character and a wonderfully warm patina. THE MAKER: National Marine Lamp Co. According to Anthony Hobson's Lanterns that Lit our World, Book 2 was started in 1906 operating from Pear St. in New York City. ... moreIt brought the burner shop Bristol Brass in Forestville, CT in 1911. National Marine bought from Bristol Brass, so similarities in the products are to be expected. These ships were commissioned in the 1940's to 1950's and were decommissioned between the years 2007 to 2009. These lamps were affixed near the bedside in bunkers on ships so cadets or personnel on ships could pull them out based on their convenience for reading. This brass lamp has copper rivets on it. When we salavge these lights we strip off the old wiring and paint and polish it to regain it former luster and glory. Pair Vintage Copper Brass NEPTUNE NR Ship Lantern Lamp Nautical Maritime Cage NR
This auction is for a pair of vintage NEPTUNE NR copper and brass ship oil lamp lanterns. These lamps are in EXCELLENT estate found condition with a stunning and even patina. They are beautifully crafted from copper and brass and secured with a chain and hook in the front. These lanterns both have a badge at the top with the Neptune hallmark and NR. All of the glass is in beautiful condition(with the exception of some dust from being displayed) The globe inside is also in excellent condition with no chips or cracks. The oil lamp inside is secured to a metal wire that stays in place by sliding down two opposing corners inside. And sits very securely inside with no wobble. I do not know the age of the lanterns, and have seen only a few similar, but most of then have all brass cages(die to the reddish tint I do believe this is mostly copper) ... moreor have been polished. None have been found also with this exact badge in the same place and this stunning copper patina with the reddish copper undertones that almost glow through. This has not been cleaned or polished, but I'm sure would polish up nicely if the buyer wishes to do so. Each lantern stands 15"high without handle, and 17 1/2" tall with handle, by approx 7"wide. Those would truly make an excellent display piece or addition to any collection. Please see pictures for more details and feel free to ask questions. Vintage - Anchor Lamp - Brass Finish
Approx. 11 3/4" tall from the bottom of the base to the top of the light socket. Base measures approx. 6" and anchor is approx. 4 1/2" tall. The brass finish is worn. A magnet will not stick to the anchor and socket. But it will the other parts. The cord is old, I did plug it in and it works. You may want to rewire with a new cord.

Vintage Nautical Buoy Table Lamp Vintage nautical buoy table lamp that stands 9" tall and 4 1/2" in diameter it is made of brass and light steel with a frosted globe. The bottom is weighted down so it can not fall over but it will roll side to side. Also there is a brass bell at the top of the lamp that will ring when the lamp is in motion but it has to move pretty far in order to get the bell to ring. The external wiring is old looking but I did plug the lamp in for a very short time and it did light up(The on switch says DEAL on it) I don't encourage using this lamp without it being rewired. It shows age and is a great candidate for restoration or show it as it is, either way it is a great looking conversation piece. This lamp is being sold as I found it.
