Found at Estate Sale and have had laying around for a few years,might have come off a old Fire Truck? Very Unusual with the crank to wind up the cord. If anyone viewing this has any information or knowledge of this item your feedback would be most welcomed. It was purchased from an estate, it puts off a lot of light, has polished metal interior globe with Coleman lantern type mantle. Tripod legs telescope light to height of about 8' weighs about 50 lbs. BTU rating of 4630. Has 1/4" 2 section glass. Globe is 13 1/2" across, rotates 360' and tilts 45/60' I think top is cast aluminum, the rest is galvanized. Antique 1930's Vintage Green Porcelain Gas Station Barn Garage Industrial Light. This is an original, complete and unaltered light that is being offered in as is condition. The width of the shade measure approximately 14 inches. The top of the shade is green porcelain and underneath is white porcelain. It also has a porcelain socket. The green procelain is in nice condition and the white procelain also looks good as seen in the pictures. Some touch up is needed by the socket which is typical. The light also needs to be rewired. The name on the top of the light bracket says" JACKSON. The length of the mounting bracket measures 19 inches. This is a nice light and opportunity if you can use it! This is a NO RESERVE AUCTION! He couldn't remember now long ago but he said'decades' I looks on eBay for information and found it was made by Russell& Stoll Co. It is 10 1/2" over all the the wall/boat mount area is a circle that is 6" across the center. It is very heavy at 6 pounds without packageing materials/box. It is in 3 pieces. The case that screws in over the light globe. The glass globe which also screws in and the back that the globe and case both screw into. The glass globe reads in raised glass"P C. CO. and also has a number too that reads"9-S-4971-L" and the globe has no broken glass at all. It is thick and domed. The case is thick metal and embossed"2406B" and"R& ... moreS CO. and has no damage. There is a turn knob on the base that is embossed"R& S CO. N.Y. Don't know if this current wire will work or even if this is solid brass as it is so very dirty. As Is in case it is not brass. But after a closer look I realized it is a light for hazardous areas. I learned that they were used a lot in oil fields& that Glidden paint company used them in their factories. It weighs 25 pounds& has a very long(over 26 feet) heavy duty cord. The light can be swiveled on the base. has a handle to raise or lower the angle. For your consideration is a very old Westinghouse Electronic MFG. Co. Floodlight. It is very heavy. It's on a stand and the light swivels up and down. A metal plate on the top front says that the watts are 200 and the Style is 1217420. There is a W on the top metal and also in the middle of the lens. I found one like this on Google and it is described as Vintage Nautical. Maritime Floodlight, Naval, Ship Light from around the 1940's. I know nothing about the history of the floodlight but would like to know more about it if anyone can tell me more. The cord is old and I did not test it. This item is large and heavy. I'm guessing it is cast iron and aluminum but not sure of the material. An antique nautical light acquired at an industrial salvage auction. There is no identifying information and I don't know what type of metal this is. It is covered with green verdigris except for the bottom edge which has been painted white. There is just a tiny bit of surface rust. Hardly worth mentioning, here and there, except for the cage which is completely rusted and broken. There is a porcelain bulb receptacle and the lens/shade is beautiful and made of thick ridged glass. It is about 7-1/2" high, with an opening inside diameter of 3-1/4" and a base diameter of about 5" It is very dirty but I am not doing any clean up as I don't want to disturb the patina or destroy the cage any further. Wonderful antique searchlight by GE. Plate on front reads PROJECTOR No 27904. DL 1899954-1 TYPE PC 18 FORM can't make out training circuit volts Aug.19.19 GENERAL ELECTRIC COMPANY CO. The carbide mechanism is long gone but this light has been repurposed with a new 110volt Socket with an Edison style bulb. Looks great. Original concave mirror still in place. The glass in the brass front ring has been replaced with 1/4" plexiglass. The base is not original to the piece, the base was custom fabricated to display this light. The light measures 22 1/2" in diameter and 22 1/2 deep. The light stands an impressive 6 ft tall. The light assembly still oscillates and can be pointed up or down like it was originally intended. Beautiful survivor Large Antique Search Light Nautical Industrial Light
True survivor here with this awesome antique large search light that I rescued from a basement. I cannot find any makers mark on it. The heavy thick glass is embossed with TOP SPREDLITE TM REG US PAT OFF. The glass lense is apprx 15" and is all good free from any breaks or cracks. As is the complete unit. Comes with a bulb and the inside reflector looks great. The handles are stamped with numbers. This beauty stands apprx 25 1/2" tall to the top of the hinges. Apprx 23" wide from outside handle to the other handle. All original down to the wire. However the wire has been cut and will need to be rewired. Not sure if it still works but I see no reason why it wouldn't after being rewired. Has an awesome look& patina to it with the cast metal bracket ring and it's 3 hole foot base& handles. This is one of the most creative spotlights I've seen to date. Normally you see spotlights on tripods. But I created something that is outside the box! The Spotlight is easy to move around or could be used as a table lamp. Or floor lamp. The spotlight measures 10" in diameter, 19" height. and 12" at the widest point of wooden base. The caster wheels are vintage. The wooden base is an old vintage chopping block, and the spotlight came off an old 1940's truck. Vintage twisted cloth(not rayon) lamp cord measures 6' long. With an on/off rotary switch with vintage plug. Spotlight has beautiful patina, and age that adds unique character. For sale are two brass nautical/industrial Brass explosionproof light housings. I was told these were from the 40s but cannot confirm that. They were made by R. Lovell& Company in Arlington New Jersey. They are made of brass but at some point were painted. So. They have been sandblasted back to their original condition. I scratched a little spot on one of them so you can see the brass underneath the patina. These could be polished if you prefer, but I think the patina is beautiful. First is that it was used on a railway train lantern or train bridge signal light. They other response I got was that it was a ship's signal light or used for navigation through fog. It is very heavy weight just over 18lbs itself. It measures 8" X 8" and is 11" high. This is a great find from a local Estate I cleaned out. The man was an avid collector. VINTAGE 30's/40's WILMOT CASTLE Type 80 MEDICAL INDUSTRIAL NAUTICAL SEARCH LIGHT
Here is a beautiful Wilmot Castle Company Type 80(Model 80) surgical light(100w Clear Spotlight) from the 1930's and 1940's. Some of these were used as search lights. Also. I was told that this particular one came from a US Naval vessel. It was in an auction with several Navy ship parts such as portholes from a minesweeper. With the green salty patina it has in places, I tend to believe the story. This light works well. I has a couple of very small dings, and a small area on the lens is scratched. I used a pen to show you the size. The light includes a 110v plug so it doesn't have to be hardwired. It also includes the mounting base, which is usually missing from these. I only wiped it down with a rag and a little Windex. I didn't want to mess up the patina. Some people like that look. I'm including a 2 pack of 100w Halogen ... morebulbs. It will ship with the testing bulb inside. This light is highly collectible. I've sold a few in the past. If you Google them, some of them have sold for upwards of over $1,900! I'm really drawn to these lights when I see them. I think they have an awesome look. Can you imagine the stories it could tell?
