VINTAGE CROUSE HINDS 200 LIGHT HOUSE HAZARD LIGHT Vintage Crouse Hinds 200 Light House Hazard Light This auction is for a Vintage Crouse Hinds 200 Light House Hazard Light. From what little I’ve been able to learn. The light was created sometime in the early 1900’s to the 30’s. I read online that is was patented in 1907 but I don’t place a lot of stock in online information. This light was pulled off a lighthouse in Northern Michigan some years ago, while it was undergoing renovations. The light stands at about 13 inches tall with a metal grate surrounding the glass itself. The Crouse Hinds name is etched into the glass fixture& on the metal below. The grate unscrews but I was unable to remove the glass as it is screwed in rather tightly. It does have a ceramic light fixture and is quite heavy for its size. I’ve never tested this light ... moreand has been stored in a dry place for a number of years. Vintage Crouse Hinds Nautical Ship Spotlight. This Crouse-Hinds Manufactured light takes a 500 watt bulb. As you can see it is quite large. It is made entirely of cast aluminum and stands approximately 19” in height. The original glass face made by Pyrex Glass Co. is free of any damage, there are no chips, cracks or breaks and it is a massive 17” in diameter. The light swivels and tilts up and down! The original cord to this was cut at onetime and has not been redone. However, this will not be a problem to have rewired to original working condition. There are four thumb swivel fasteners that allow you to open the face of the spotlight. These too are original and in perfect working order. This is an aft deck light that I removed from the treasure hunting ship. Arctic Discoverer. The Arctic Discoverer was auctioned off in May, 2013 to a salvage company. I was fortunate enough to be able to collect some artifacts from this historic ship before it was sent to the scrap yard. The Arctic Discoverer is the ship that recovered tons of gold and artifacts from the"Ship of Gold" the SS Central America in 1988. The Arctic Discoverer has been featured on the History Channel on their show"History's Mysteries, Ship of Gold" It can also be seen in numerous pictures in the book"Americas Lost Treasure" by Tommy Thompson, the man who led the recovery expedition. For your consideration: Vintage pre-WW II Crouse-Hinds Company airport lighting equipment MDB-16 floodlight. Based on all my research the fixture is about 77 years old and in very good condition. The fixture measures approx. 18" across with the glass area being 16" in diameter. The depth of the fixture from the glass to the weather head is about 18" With some modest disassembly I expect it will fit safely in an 18x18x18 cube package. The shipping weight is about 15 pounds. I have listed a USPS Standard Post rate from NY to CA. If your location costs less I will refund the difference. The light is comprised of a cast aluminum base and stamped aluminum lamp enclosure with a Pyrex glass enclosure cover. The fixture is a model MDB-16 as detailed in the 1937 Crouse-Hinds Company catalog#317 dated March 15. 1937 page 12 in section ... more305. The fixture is also described in the Crouse-Hinds Floodlight Catalog#316 section 201. Pages 25& 26 of the same year. The MDB-16 is considered an auxiliary floodlight designed for use lighting airport aprons and service areas This specific fixture. Cat no. 44595-A, is. designed to use a 1000 watt lamp(bulb) with a mogul base and a Crouse-Hinds#5 weather head. The weather head can be reversed to facilitate alternate mounting positions. The enclosure is designed to be weatherproof with a Pyrex glass cover. The glass has T.M.PAT.OFF. 14D KL 9716 and the Crouse-Hinds logo molded into it. The glass cover is hinged on one side and can be positioned to swing up. Down, left, right by repositioning the lamp shade enclosure. The glass cover is smooth on the exterior but has a textured interior surface to defuse the light. I have attempted to image that for you. There are several tiny bubbles in the glass which attest to its originality. I have tested the fixture by attaching a test cord and illuminating the bulb pictured. Up for sale is a vintage Crouse-Hinds industrial/nautical cage light pendant lamp. It measures 20 inches long. Body diameter is 5 1/2 inches. Cord was not measured but appears to be well over 10 feet long. Glass is clean and free of chips or cracks. It is marked Crouse-Hinds along rim of the cage and along the glass. Cord is heavily frayed and metal has acquired a heavy patina. Piece was lightly cleaned before being photographed. You may wish to have it professionally cleaned or polished. Up for auction is this vintage dock lamp made by the Crouse-Hinds Company of Syracuse. NY, U.S.A. The dock lamp is a model HL-P-1920 that takes a 3/8" base 100 watt light bulb. The clear glass convex lens measures 8" in diameter and is protected by seven aluminum struts as seen in the photos. The original wiring that extends out from inside the lamp has some lightweight wiring spliced onto it but needs additional length to hook up to an outlet. The clear glass lens is in excellent condition with no chips, cracks or damaged whatsoever. The lamp measures 10" in diameter by 6" high including the four holes to mount on either a dock or boat. Vintage Crouse-Hinds Ship/ Tug/ Barge light with Fresnel lens. This is a really nice used light. Inside is very nice. Reflector plate is spotless and the bulb socket is nice with no cracks or breaks. I have spent countless hours trying to get a history of this lamp with no success. I can't even find any pictures of this thing anywhere on the internet. I even found some old crouse- hinds catalogs with nothing on this lamp.The only place that I saw one a little alike was a history salvage place in Chicago. They sold that one but wouldn't say what the selling price was. Everything in that place was HIGH dollar. Lamp works nice. Takes a 300 watt VPS 30 bulb. I couldn't find one around the house so I bought a large 150 watt bulb and a socket extension to get the bulb to reach the reflector plate inside, works nice and bright. Has a ... moreFresnel lens with two small flaws. Check pictures, they show well. Two small chips about 1/4 long on several of the ridges.A slight bend in one of the ridges also, shows well in pictures, easy fix. Trying to be honest, they are there. Tag is nice and easy to read. This light was painted once with very little rust. Light is forged marked Crouse-Hinds Comp. Syracuse N.Y. USA and also HLP-1924. Has the old Crouse-Hinds logo forged into the cover plate. Light measures 27" tall with a diameter of 9" It is used, you could use it as is or restore this thing. When plugged in it covers a large area when shining. Need more pictures,let me know. Crouse Hinds Light, Treasure Hunting Ship, Arctic Discoverer, Tommy Thompson
This is a vintage Crouse Hinds deck light that I removed from the starboard side of Tommy Thompson's treasure hunting ship. Arctic Discoverer. The light measures 17 1/2" x 17 1/2" the glass lens measures 13 1/2" with no damage. The light was in working condition when the ship was docked in the 1990s, needs cleaning and a plug attached. Light comes with a letter of authenticity. Sold as is. The Arctic Discoverer was auctioned off in May. 2013 to a salvage company. I was fortunate enough to be able to collect some artifacts from this historic ship before it was sent to the scrap yard. The Arctic Discoverer is the ship that recovered tons of gold and artifacts from the"Ship of Gold" the SS Central America in 1988. The Arctic Discoverer has been featured on the History Channel on their show"History's Mysteries, ... moreShip of Gold" It can also be seen in numerous pictures in the book"Americas Lost Treasure" by Tommy Thompson, the man who led the recovery expedition.

The auction includes everything you see pictures– case. Bulbs, cords, light, etc. I tried plugging it in, but the bulbs kept burning out. I’m not sure if I have the correct wattage/voltage needed to operate the unit. There are 3 different power cords. The extra lens has a crack in it. There are numerous bulbs located under a hinged door. I’m haven’t tested every bulb in fear that I would burn them all out. The assembly is in nice condition. It has a blue and red lens that adjust with the turn of them handle. It all comes in a heavy duty military style case. The entire unit is really heavy so shipping might be a little steep. Up for auction is a Crouse-Hinds Spotlight USN Navy Morse Signal Spotlight with shutter NAF 1081-1. Course Hinds Company 2038-NH. It is believed to be a WWII US Navy signal light. It was manufactured by the Crouse Hinds Co. and has shutters for sending Morse Code by light. Overall diameter is about 8 3/8" in diameter. Spotlight is in good condition for it’s age. Signs of dust and age appropriate wear/tear visible in the pictures. There is a plastic air bad between the shutter and the bulb area. What you see is what you get.
