Well designed for interior or exterior use. Each light weighs over 6 pounds. From the top of the wall mount to the the bottom of the globe cage. Each light measures about 10 inches tall. When mounted to the wall the light will extend out from the wall by about 6 1/2 inches. The wall mount measures ... more4 inches wide and has four mount holes. The brass cage spins on and off to give access to the undamaged glass globe. The glass globe also spins on and off to give access to the bulb holder. The globes are true red and green glass, not clear glass with paint. We have installed new bulb holders in each light. The bulb holder and new wiring was made by Westinghouse electric and is stamped"UL LISTED" The new bulb holder takes a normal screw in house bulb of 65 watts or less. The wiring and bulb holder will work with any voltage under 250 volts. If your project calls for clear globes for this light, we will change out the red and green glass for clear globes for no charge. These lights were recovered from a salvage operation and the lights will have wear such as nick and surface rubs as well has some bends and stress to the wire cages. The glass globes are undamaged! Up for your consideration. We have this vintage Boat Bow Running Light made of Heavy Chrome and green and red glass. This light also has the top hole to insert flagpole. As you can see by the pictures of the inside. It does have the housing for the bulb but no electrical wires. This is a great vintage collectible and does have some minor pitting of the chrome finish. This light was made be CD Co. and has a bottom diameter of 4 1/2" and stands 4 1/2" tall. Bolt holes are 4" inches apart from one side to the opposite side. Light weighs over 2lb. Any questions. I'm assuming it's nautical because we live in a seaside town. But it could be railroad related. It's made of heavy metal with a beautiful blue ribbed glass that shines in the sunlight. This heavy duty piece stands about 10 inches tall to the highest point and is 8 inches across at the widest point. It has an electric socket inside the lamp. This is a vintage hazardous atmosphere light made by Appleton Electric. When I first found it I thought it was a maritime ship light. But after a closer look I realized it is a light for hazardous areas. I learned that they were used a lot in oil fields& that Glidden paint company used them in their factories. It weighs 25 pounds& has a very long(over 26 feet) heavy duty cord. The light can be swiveled on the base. has a handle to raise or lower the angle.
