An antique Powell& Hanmer HOROSCOPE bicycle oil lamp from the late Victorian era. Everything is firm and works as intended and there are no dents. The two red side lenses and clear front bi-convex lens have no cracks or chips. As you can see the chimney roof is hinged in order to facilitate cleaning and one of the side windows slides up for lighting. The oil reservoir slides out for filling and is sound. There is some cracking on one side of the wick dome(see photo) But this does not affect function. Understandably there has been black paint loss over the years but personally I like the way it is and would't repaint. This little lamp measures just under 5 inches in height.

There is a dent on the bottom edge. This has made it out of round& where the insert only lines up in one position. One of the locking wires has come disconnected but is still present& included. Clear perko Fresnel lens in great condition with no cracks. This lens is a full cylinder. This lantern is just over 6" tall and is 4.25" across the b ottom. I have made no attempts to polish or repair this lamp. This is the condition i found it in. This piece will make a great little project for someone who likes to tinker with things. Or just leave it the way it is, as it's still charming!

Antique Clear Pressed Glass/Brass Whale Oil Lamp Only With Snuffers and Wick
This is. I believe, a lamp intended to be used to burn whale oil. The wick is unburned, so I don't think it was ever put to use. The screw on cap, snuffers, and two wick holders are brass, with a knurled top edge on the cap to enhance one's grip when refilling the glass vessel. The cap and two wick holders are 2" high. The glass vessel is 3" high with a protruding 1" long ground glass stub. The device in is excellent condition with no chips or dings. There are some light scratches on the glass. There is an obvious lack of whaling here in Colorado. So where did this come from? Well, it's part of my parents estate. In the mid-1960's(as soon as I went off to college) they bought a very old, actually centuries old farm on Grove Street in Millville, Mass. The place was a fixer-upper that had been in the same family ... morefor at least a hundred years. Antique Vintage Boat Nautical Marine Oil lamps Port Starboard Green Red Ship
Up for auction are two antique nautical port/ starboard oil lamps. I have yet to see a pair exactly like this with smooth glass. Unfortunately i do not see any markings on them. The body's of the lamp appear to be galvanized but i could be wrong. The lenses of these lamps are in very nice shape with no visable cracks. One is green and one is red. These lamps appear complete minus the one is missing a part out of the bottom as seen in the picture. The only other issue is that the top of the one lamp has a dent and the top has some minor damage. Other then that they would make a great display piece. These are being sold as is. Vintage Antique Ship Lanterns 1900's Brass Ships Gimbaled Oil Lanterns Rare
You are bidding on a pair of very rare. Brass gimbaled oil lanterns which were manufactured in the early 1900's for use in finer staterooms. These are beautiful and hard to find in this condition. However, when I was taking pictures, I unfortunately broke one of the green glass shades. I have tried to find another shade, but have been unable to do so. I have been able to find many antique restoration companies, one of which I have spoken to in great detail about the broken shade. He assures me that he can restore the shade to its former glory with very faint visibility. If the break is turned to the back of the lantern, it will be invisible to the eye. I will be glad to send the shade myself, or if the winning bidder would like to find their own restoration specialist, I will provide the pieces carefully wrapped. There are only three ... morebroken pieces and they fit together perfectly. These lamps were manufactured by C. Gray Ship Chandlers Established 1882 Arbroyath. Scotland and the brass nameplate is attached to the front of each lantern with that information. The lamp bodies are very heavy brass and are fully gimbaled. These are self-leveling lamps for use on the high seas. The wall brackets have a fleur-di-lis type decorative look. The burners are original with a double wick. The knobs are stamped"John Scott Made In England" The last two pictures show small cracks at the top of each body. These appear to be caused by age. The lamps have not been polished because I personally find them more beautiful in their aged condition. The clear glass chimneys are both in perfect condition with no flaws of any kind. The one shade is also perfect with no flaws. The second shade was discussed above. The brass body measures approximately 17" from bottom to the top of the oil burner and is approximately 10" in width at its widest point. This Tung Woo lamp was originally a decorative feature on a Knob Creek electric table lamp that we bought at an estate sale. It was not altered for the wiring of the Knob Creek lamp. I do not see a manufacturers name on it. I don't think that the top is the original top. But I could be mistaken. There is a small dent on the left side and some of the green glass is chipped as you can see in the last picture. It measures 10" high and 5" wide. Early. Copper& Brass Starboard Side Ships Lamp. This antique lamp was found at an estate sale in Henderson. NY on the eastern shore area of lake Ontario. The lamp is being offered as found for parts or refurbish or keep as is. The lamp stands 8.7/8" tall as is. The soot catcher or chimney cap is missing. The copper housing shows a lot of aged patina. There is a crack in the copper in the pierced trim that goes around the chimney(see image 9) The bottom door also has a split or crack(see image 5) The curved, green glass is in excellent condition for its age, just a few fine scratches and some dirt. This auction is for a very rare Miller brass binnacle hand lamp. The bottom removes with an oil lamp base with a simplex wick holder. It is signed E Miller Company made in USA and has a brand new wick. The oil lamp locks into the base. It has vent holes at the bottom and the top. It has a wood carrying handle and an Eisinglass/ isinglass front that is still intact. The lamp measures 8 ¼ inches with the handle up and 7 inches with the handle down and measures 2 ¾ inches in diameter. A ships binnacle lamp has no steel anywhere in it. It is made of all brass so that it would not interfere with the ships compass. This is a very rare piece, don't miss this opportunity to add this to your collection. There is not any residue from smoke. Additonally. There are no burn marks on the wick. The tanks/bases measure approximately: 4 ½" tall 4.75" in diameter at the base 3.75 at the top of the tank. Today for your consideration we have a Beautiful Ship Nautical Oil/Kerosene Hang Lantern with five panels of glass(2 Red and 2 Green and 1 clear) incase in Brass with Port and Starboard embossed on each side respectively. Has a handle on the top to hang. And on the bottom it fits into slots to hold a kerosene or oil with wick. Top opens. There are no nicks or chips in the glass but some loss to color on the red and green see photos. Extremely great piece and would be great in your home for lighting or patio or boat. Air holes in the base for oxygen. Very large it measures 12 and 1/4" tall. This auction is for a Antique Neptune maritime Nautical lantern light with oil lamp.This is missing the panel of glass that is where the latch side is. The total height is 15" tall. The base is 6" tall. The sliding oil lamp section is unmarked- it does original to the lantern. It has the Neptune tag on the front. This is fresh from an old New England barn and will need cleaning- I have not attempted to clean this up at all. The glass globe has a flake of the bottom edge. I have up for sale a rare vintage original circa late 1800s to early 1900s Marine Division ARTISTIC BRASS& BRONZE WKS NY ship oil lamp lantern complete with original hanging bracket. The lamp is complete with the inside oil lamp with original chimney and reflector. The lamp stands approx 18-3/4" to the top handle and approx 16-1/2" to the top of the lamps upper section. It weighs approx 9 1/2 lbs and the bracket approx 3 lbs +. It is in Good as found original condition- normal general wear but no real issues. Some light surface rust that will clean off. RARE Antique New England Whale Oil Ship's Lamp With Blue Fresnel Lens
This beautiful ships lamp measures approximately 16in.x9in. and was found in a seaside barn in Massachusetts. The lamp has a heavy blue/green fresnel lens in two pieces joined by some type of fiber caulking. The body and lens cage are made from a heavy metal and are painted aqua-green. There are a couple of chips in the seam of the lens but is otherwise fine. The overall condition is fair with some rust and pitting that could be cleaned and reprinted if desired. There is no sign of wiring so I assume this was meant to be lit by oil. I have never seen a similar lamp and can find no maker's mark. The two glass window panes are intact and there is a panel that you open to access the wick of the lamp. You simply mount the round brass circle to the wall and slip the oil lantern into it. Up for bidding is an antique primitive hand forged wrought iron whale oil 2 bowl Betty lamp. It is signed Lomba. Betty lamps were hung on ship's beams to provide light. It was made between 1922 and 1968. The lamp measures 7 inches long and 2 inches wide on the bowl. The twisted hanger measures 5 1/4 inches long. This unusual piece is in good condition with one of the bowl interiors showing some use. This will make a nice addition to your primitives or lamp collection.

Lamp measures a stately 23" to top of handle. 18" tall without handle and at its widest a 10" diameter. With the exception of a dent in the brass at the base the lantern is in excellent condition. Lantern inner chimney has a couple of chips and a crack at the bottom where it sits in base. This can be easily replace but I beleive that this one is original so I will not replace. Measuring 22" tall(not including handle) width of about 11" The piece is painted but as far as I can tell the most or possibly the entirety of the piece is made of copper. The lantern is a forward facing type with mounting rings on each side, an access door on the back an a top hatch that looks down into from the chimney above. Inside the back hatch, the burner assembly is on a track and is removable. It appears to be an oil/kerosene burner with a large reflector. The glass globe appears to be intact. There are three attached metal labels or tags on the front. I will try to decipher them for you, due to age and paint there are partially legible. ANTIQUE 1941 S.CO.LTD BRASS NAUTICAL SHIP RAILWAY OIL LAMP LANTERN- NICE You are bidding on a great antique brass lantern. Lantern has maker marks of"S.Co.Ltd. 1941" Im not sure if this is a ship lantern, railway lantern or what- I dont know much about these. Lantern is in great condition and all pieces seem to be there. Lantern measures 20" tall with handle extended up. The wick key is attached to side and wick turn knob works good. No broken glass on paynes and side door works good. Primitive Antique Early Lighting Satin Finished Glass Oil Lamp Light Lantern
This is a very nice antique early lighting oil lamp. The lantern has a satin paneled glass finish. It is in very good condition with no chips or cracks. The lantern with the glass chimney on it stands 21" tall. Without the chimney and including the metal burner it is 12" tall. It is 6" wide across the middle and is 6" wide across the bottom. The metal burner is in good working condition. Overall this is a very nice unique antique oil lantern and would make a great addition to any collection. Wonderful estate found matching pair of older heavy brass nautical ship oil lamps featuring a bell and a rounded base that rocks like a buoy. Both are converted to electricity and work well. The on/off switch has a large L on it(not sure what company this is) These are in very good condition and measure about 9" tall with a 5" base. GREAT LOOKING AND FUNCTIONAL.
