Fantastic Old USCG SOLID BRONZE SHIP CHANNEL MARKER LIGHT Clear Fresnel Lens 24"
Fantastic Offering OLD USCG CHANNEL MARKER LIGHT This looks to be solid bronze. Clear Fresnel lens. I've had this one forever! It's real and it's heavy. May have come from the Charleston. SC harbor.but I will not attest to that provenance. It shows the signs of use as the fresnel lens has some chips and the pin that allows the top to rotate open has been removed for safe operation(just unscrew the knurled ties and carefully lift the top completely off) One of the rods is wrung off too, but is hardly noticeable. This nautical lantern was originally painted white inside and that paint is partially intact. We think that the main body is cast bronze but could actually be brass, some of the components are indeed brass. We believe that the exterior was painted red(for red right returning) and remnants of that remain. Of course, one ... moreschool of thought is that this light should be polished up to a brillant shine.we like to leave things in their beautiful natural form here and have left it untouched in that regard. Forged into the base are the markings: A. U. S. C. G. LOVELL- ARLINGTON. NJ That would be F. H. Lovell& Co. of Arlington. NJ we presume. And those four protrusions on the base bottom are actually threaded bosses so bolting this baby down is no problem. Installing a lamp inside will be no problem either as the posts are intact and the entrance hole in the side is open. Not quite sure what this is but it is well made. I believe it is a boat quadrant but I could be wrong. I believe it is made of bronze or something like it. It is not steel. You could see some very shiny areas poking through so I believe this would shine up nicely. It is about 11" x 11" There was also a bronze key attached with it but not quite sure what it is for. Vintage Bronze Tung Woo Hong Kong EK1390 PORT Ship Lantern Lamp Nautical
Vintage Tung Woo PORT Lantern I recovered this Tung Woo port-side lantern from a sunken pipe barge while working off the coast of Borneo in the South China Sea in 1971. From it’s configuration it appears to have always been an electric lantern. I used it with a small battery light for a little evening ambiance on the deck table. So no heat damage from using it with candles. From the number of mounting holes(see last photo) it had a long service use history before I salvaged it. My guess is early post WWII. It has a heavy clear glass lens with an internal removable curved glass red filter. It’s got dents. Dimples and a wonky corner, decades of stains from living outside but no gouges or deep scratches. Vintage Pauluhn Ship's Bronze / Brass Wall Light Salvage find.
This is a recovered"Pauluhn" Bronze/ Brass Ship's Light that was salvaged by a personal friend of mine over 30 years ago(Captain Gardner. RIP) This was rinsed off once over 30 years ago and not touched since. It still has the grit/ mud/ sediment from the bottom of the waters clinging to it as the day it was brought up on deck. I knew this Captain friend of mine for many years and he gave this to me with other salvaged Nautical Items as I built my collection(HE was in the salvage business for over 20 years along the Gulf Coast) We lost Captain Gardner in 2004 and I think about the great stories we shared over the years. I am down sizing and want to pass this on to somebody that might be able to appreciate it almost as much as I have. I could clean this up, but I am going to leave this to your discretion. If my memory serves correct, the good Captain told me that this item came from a self propelled wood hull barge that sunk in Galveston Bay. OLD MARINE BRONZE CAGED SHIP LIGHT FIXTURE
Up for auction I have this very nice old bronze Pauluhn brand vapor tight caged ship light fixture. It is constructed very heavy and in very good shape as shown in the pictures. The glass protective jar cover is in perfect shape with no scratches pits or chips. The rubber gasket to seal it is still in good. Not deteriorated yet. The Edison bulb socket is in ideal shape as well with hardly any corrosion going on at all. The cage threats are nice and screws really easy. The fixture has one wire compression fitting on one side of it as well as seen in the picture. This fixture is aged but been kept in a very controlled environment all this time. Vintage Bronze Ship's Navigation Light , needs lights
Heavy bronze casing for ship's light. No wiring. Or lens is with this. From the front this measures 5" high where the lens would fit. 6" wide. Apprx 8-1/4" from the bottom of the front to the back. This has a number embossed on the inner case. 9737. There is a symbol above it in the shape of a shield but I am unable to see the symbol inside the shield. The weight is apprx 7 pounds. Here is a very old QUALITY made BRASS/ BRONZE? NAUTICAL SHIP LIGHT. This ANTIQUE NAVIGATION light has a 6 1/2 inch base across and is about 5 1/2 inches tall. This light has really nice AGED PATINA and is a GREAT SHOW DISPLAY PIECE. there ARE 5 base bolts with this light. There are no interior parts. A pair of port and starboard kerosene ships running lights. I call them"old" since I suspect my brother bought them in a foreign country many years ago when he was in the merchant marine. I hesitate to call them"authentic" since they have plates on them which state: Port. Starboard. I don't think real sailors need to be reminded what the red and green lenses denote. They are constructed of copper/brass/bronze, appear to be plastic green/red lenses, approximately 12.5 inches high, 7.5 inches across. Offered for your consideration is this nice PAIR of kerosene oil lights. Made by the Marine-Division of the Artistic Brass and Bronze Works New York NY. Each light has a makers tag attached to the front of the base. Both lights look to be pretty complete with oil burner and chimneys still there. Sorry no wall mounting brackets. I am not sure if the wicks are still in them. The knob that raises and lowers the wick is very hard to turn on both lanterns. I think the wick mechanism needs to be cleaned. There is a very minor amount of corrosion on the tops of the bases. Each lantern measures about 18" tall to the top of the handle. Base measures about 7" across. Great Matching Pair of Old. Marine Ship's Lantern Lamps. These look like Brass.and they also look like Bronze.I can't be sure. I DO know that the Handles are Bronze. I am estimating that these probably date back to Late World War I or Early World War II and may well have been used on military vessels and/or Merchant marine vessels. They are Electric and have Rotating Shutters both on the body and in the bottoms of the lamps. In this way, the light could be closed off both from the sides and the bottoms as need be.kind of an early manual rheostat. These both Measure 8" Tall to the top of the Threaded, Screw-in Lid. The lid, itself measures 3 3/4" Diameter and has a 1 1/2" tall Wire Pass-through apparatus. To the top of the extended handle measures 12" The Base of the lantern measures 5 1/2" Diameter. Here is a nice old ANTIQUE/VINTAGE N.M.L. BRONZE/BRASS"NAVIGATION LIGHT" Vintage Bronze/Brass" ROUND CAN STYLE Bow light" This has red and green GLASS with no cracks or chips. The front bracket missing a screw and the glass is in place with some type of caulking on the bracket. The metal brass/bronze has a nice bright polished shine. Very nice old Nautical light. Has an interior light as well as a slot on top for a flag. Very nice old light. This is about 4 inches tall and 4 3/8 base. thanks International bidders responsible for all custom fees etc.

Antique ship nautical boat electric lamp light. Brass bronze coppper? Oakford
Up for auction to U.S. customers only is an old ship's light with Fresnel glass(no chips or cracks to glass) It stands 15 inches tall and the wire cage is 8 inches across. I am not sure if the primary metal is brass. Copper or bronze- or a combination-but a magnet doesn't stick to it. It is very heavy. It is made by Oakford. There is a light bulb socket inside but it probably isn't original and, without the cord plug, I can't test it. If it was originally electric powered, then the wire outlet on the side looks like it held a much larger power cord. The lid screws onto the top for access to the inside. I'm not sure how it was used on board the vessel- some other listings refer to it as a mast light, others describe it for use on dock pilings, others say it lit the passageways on the ship. If anyone knows for sure, let ... moreme know and I'll add it to the listing. Overall it seems in very good condition with a few relatively minor scratches to the lower finish and, of course, the green discoloration which some people call patina and want it left on the piece so I didn't try to clean up that section(new owner can do that) I don't know anything else about this item so please ask questions. this lot contains a Vintage Brass PERKO Marine Nautical ship RED pole Lantern Early 1900s. it has been modified to electric a long time ago. It was wired for ship use as it has a ground wire as well? it has a very thick red glass with a few chips& cracks from use& age. nothing that compromises it's usage or condition. it weighs 11 pounds& is 10" x 6" the light itself has been tested& works. it has not been cleaned or polished by us, although it looks like someone took scouring pad or steel wool to some areas, none of which has caused any permanent or bad damage, but you can see these areas in pictures. the one crack we found is only on the inside of glass& can only be seen when held up to light& spun til found. Antique SHIP’s Globe Hurricane Lantern- Phosphor Bronze Early 1900's
Genuine. Early 1900’s ship’s lamp known variously as a“hurricane globe lantern, watermelon lamp, or onion lamp. It features a heavy glass globe indicative of its early manufacture. This lantern is complete with its original oil font and burner which fits into the bottom of the lamp with a positive half twist. The top of the lamp is fitted with a heat disbursing castellated chimney cap and the lamp is equipped with a stout wire bail handle for hanging. This diminutive little veteran of the sea measures 11 ½ inches tall and 10 inches in wide. Inclusive of the handle it measures approximately 13 ¼ inches tall. It is in good condition given its age and apparent actual use at sea. There is a small sent in the chimney cap and a stress crack in the globe which cannoy be felt when rubbing you fingers across it. The exterior has acquired ... morea lovely statuary bronze patina consistent with age. This is the real deal.

Bronze brass navy ship mast light works
Antique bronze and brass navy mast light. Made by L.L.R. CO. Not sure what it stands for. Not sure what ship this came from from I'd say it's from the 40's or 50's. It has been 100% restored. I pulled the old wires out and wired it for normal household use. The bronze was very dark when I got this item so it has been sandblasted and has 2 clear coats to retain color. The brass rods were cleaned. All the lights on the inside have been replaced. The glass was also cleaned. Amazing piece! Stands 15" tall. I have watched two of these exact lights sell for 450 shipped and 620 shipped in the last year on EBay. PayPal within 48 hrs please. I'll ship ASAP after payment.
