Up for auction is a antique bow light. I am unsure what boat this was off of but it was definitely removed from a boat here on long island. It appears to have a brass body and blue/ red glass. It does come with a wooden mount. The only issue with this light is it is chipped in the blue portion of the glass. Other then that it appears to be in nice shape. Has a handle on the top to hang. And on the bottom it fits into slots to hold a kerosene or oil with wick. Top opens. There are no nicks or chips in the glass but some loss to color on the red and green see photos. Extremely great piece and would be great in your home for lighting or patio or boat. Very nice nautical sail ship night light. Fair shape for it's age. No chips or cracks in the glass bottom. Glass bottom has chipped paint and chrome needs polishing. But it looks so cool lite up! The green and red colored plastic on the deck is cracked on each side, but not very noticable. All sails are there but strings need reattched in a few places. Antique MARITIME NAUTICAL SHIP LANTERN Red Glass Copper & Brass
Up for bids is a great marine piece- an antique ship lantern. This nautical lantern is made of brass and copper metals and a beautiful piece of red onion glass. It has a sloped top which keeps water and rain from the inside of it. The red onion glass is encompassed by protective brass pieces which prevent it from being damaged when it swings. This lantern also has both the top pivoting brass hanger. AND the bottom one. I see very few of these lanterns that were made with these, and if so they no longer have the bottom one. At some point someone has removed the kerosene drum/holder and started the process of making this electrical. I have not attempted to complete this. It is fitted with a very simple bulb holder and a turning switch which still turns and clicks. This has in no means detracted from the beauty of this lantern and will make ... moreit simpler to electrify if someone chooses to do so. This lantern is in fantastic vintage condition. It has wear associated and common with its age but overall really nice! If someone chooses to polish this it will shine like new. The glass is in very good condition. It has some wear marks. Rough spots, or minor chipping on the rims/edges but no breaks. The wear is only from where it is fitted into the copper ends. These marks are not seen or noticable when the lantern is put together. The glass itself has some air bubbles but only visible upon close examination. The sloped top has several small dents in it. The two copper caps look very good and I do not see any dents or tears in them. The brass hangers and glass protectors have only age patina to them but otherwise perfect. The measurements of this lantern is 25 1/2" when hanging from the top of the hanging attachment to the tip of the bottom attachment. The glass is approx. 6 1/2" high by 8 1/2" around. I've taken this apart to show the insides of the pieces and the area where the electrical work was started. Also. When I ship it will come separated like this. It measures 14" tall and 7" Diameter amd weighs about 5 lbs. Not sure if it is an original or reproduction. If it is a repro. Vintage nautical Ship sconces lights Maritime Heavy Glass Brass Rare Beautiful
A very rare and beautiful pair of brass ship nautical Wall sconces. They could have been originally oil lights and converted to electric but I have no idea. They are made of heavy brass roughly 8lbs each with heavy steel bases. They are roughly 15 1/2" straightened up. The base or wall mount is 5 1/2" round as the same as the heavy glass bowl beneath the light. They are both are made to move which ever position you desire sideways. Up, down, etc. Just loosen the bolt and retighten. There is one bolt missing and there was another replaced. They are in exceptional condition with no breaks or repairs. As you can see in my picture the wall mount bases there is a slight discoloration which is very hard to see. The glass is very thick and it looks like one is a shade darker than the other and possibly one is greenish and the other is ... morereddish or darker green. They are both the same shape as also the lamps. They are identical. Don't know if because of the light over the years made one a bit darker than the other. Very hard to find these nautical sconces. I tried extensively to do some research but cannot find anything similar. I will leave it up to you. If they fit in your decor that is all that matter. Thankyou for previewing and goodluck.

The lamp measures 8.5" to the top of the socket. 5.25" across the shade ring, 3.75" across the bottom of the base, and about 10.75" to the top of the shade. The shade is 3.25" high, 5" across the bottom and 3.5" across the top. No cracks or chips in the glass. The lamp has been tested, and it does work. Morgan Whaling Ship 4 1/2" Tall by 4" Wide For sale is a large pale green glass desk prism from the Mystic(CT) Seaport Museum. the prism is a reproduction of those used in the Charles W. Morgan. The last wooden whaling ship, now preserved and exhibited at Mystic Seaport Museum. In the days before electricity. Light below a vessel's deck was limited to candles, oil and kerosene lamps. A clever solution for the light problem was the deck prism. Laid flush into the deck, the prism point drew light down below decks. This prism is an exact reproduction of Mystic Seaport's last remaining original Charles W. Morgan deck prism. It is about 4 1/2" tall and 4" wide. The prism is like new and comes in a cloth ... morepouch with an information brochure. There are no chips. Cracks, damage or wear. Vtg PERKO SHIPS NAUTICAL BOAT LANTERN LIGHT VERY HEAVY BRASS & THICK GLASS
This is a very thick brass nautical light made by Perko. The red glass is original& also very thick. It was rewired for household current& works. The wire is very short& bared at the end& has a cut in it. So it probably should be replaced. It stands 9 1/2" tall. It has two open threaded fittings(one on bottom& one on back) It also has a smaller hole that the new wiring was ran through. I'm not sure if it was on a ship or maybe even a bridge. It is heavy duty, I put it on a bathroom scale& it registered 10 pounds. The glass is still in excellent condition with no chips or cracks. It was found in an old estate in northern Michigan right on Lake Huron, so it probably has some history. Unfortunately I do not know the history of it. Vintage Electric Maritime Boat Ship Light Red Nautical Glass Lens Brass Works
This is a Vintage Nautical Ship Maritime Red Lens Electric Boat Lamp It does work. The red paint is chipping. The Brass housing for the lamp is not damaged. It is about 9 inches tall and is 5.25 inches across at the bottom. There is no damage to the cord. The bolt top(nut) to a post is missing. It looks like a post has been replaced. ANTIQUE 1910 TRIFLEX SHIPS BOW LIGHT Antique. Old brass lantern, in front Pat. reads 1910 Triplex,a nautical, maritime, ship lantern body, lamp. This item shows overall wear including tarnishing& minor dents found in the metal. The brass has a nice old patina. This item looks to be missing the base and burner piece; the red& blue lenses are in condition and are free of any chips or cracks. This item measures approximately 10 3/4" tall with ring top& the base width is 5" diam. With the light fin it is 8 1/2" Brass fin can be on or taken off. Antique Brass Ships Lantern Old Glass Metal Reflector No Burner No Makers Mark Here is a great old ship's lantern for your buying consideration. Recently picked it up at an auction. The lantern appears to be made of mostly brass with the exception of the reflector piece. Glass and the heat distributor in the top. There is no makers mark on the piece that I can ascertain. I think it was a Steampunk or Perko. How's about you expert's out there. What are your thoughts? Your identity will be kept anonymous. Thanks. The makers mark was probably on the bottom of the burner that is no longer with the lantern. A couple of the solder joints for the cage across the glass are no longer in place. The glass in the lantern looks good. No blistering or cracks and appears wavy at the right angle. Check out the solid brass handle on this lantern. ... moreNo simple cheap wire handle on this one! The metal reflector plate is still in the lantern. Some corrosion to its' finish in places. Looks like the lantern was dropped at one time and the top bracket was bent in. It weighs a little over 12 pounds. I'm not sure if it's copper or brass. It's also very LARGE. It measures about 13 1/2" tall, 13 3/4" wide and is approximately 9 1/2" deep from each corner to the back. It was a originally a kerosene or oil ship's lantern. It's an amazing light! It's in excellent working condition, it's been newly re-wired& has an antique switch in the front(converted to electric) The switch is turned to right each time you want to turn it off or no. It has a removable red port glass(see photos of it turned on, with and without the red glass) The clear glass has a small 1/2" chip in one of the ... moreribbed sections; it's a very heavy thick glass so this does not compromise anything. Near the top of the lamp there's an emblem that has the numbers"3883" There is also some etching on both the clear and red glass. I wonder if this belonged to a military ship. As most items on those ships were marked with serial#s etc. The writing on each glass piece says"DHJE 3883, No. 654, E.31.5.61" It's not very noticable and you can't see it unless you really look; it's not seen when the light is on. Condition wise.it's vintage! There are a few dings& dents. Some areas of wear etc.but considering it was a ship light, it's going to have a weathered old look, which I personally prefer. Absolutely Amazing! Large Vintage Ship's Anchor Light. Has Phoenix Glass Co. lens. Small surface chip noted in pictures. Copper colored metal- not sure if pure copper. Some denting noted. Brass fitting on top for hanging. Heavy duty copper colored 12 foot chain for hanging. This is a very heavy lamp& chain-approx. 25 lbs. We purchased this wonderful lamp from a retired States Marine Lines employee. He had converted this lamp to a hanging lamp and another one into a outside post lamp. Nice patina! Crude welds and denting gives it wonderful character. Due to weight and size. We believe this to be a actual Anchor lamp and not a reproduction. Works great but recommend re-wiring. Vintage Nautical Marine Ship Vessel 225 Degree Fresnel Light Lamp Glass Lens Large Nautical Lens ca. 1920 This auction is for a large size ship's lantern/light 225 degree lens. The lens measures 8-1/2" tall with a 9-1/2" diameter. The upper and lower sections of the lens are a smaller size. So the lens will fit into a holder with an 8-1/2" diameter. The lens was made by the now defunct Durkee Marine Products Company of Staten Island, New York. The company went out of business in 1920, so this item was made no later than that date.
