Antique Helvic's Ship Lantern This is a beautiful turn of the century maratime antique lantern. It seems to be a galvanized type metal with an awesome salty patina. The brass or copper tag reads Helvic's Pattern Approved By Inspector Of The Port Of N.Y. The top cap is also brass or copper. Antique Vintage Boat Nautical Marine Oil lamps Port Starboard Green Red Ship
Up for auction are two antique nautical port/ starboard oil lamps. I have yet to see a pair exactly like this with smooth glass. Unfortunately i do not see any markings on them. The body's of the lamp appear to be galvanized but i could be wrong. The lenses of these lamps are in very nice shape with no visable cracks. One is green and one is red. These lamps appear complete minus the one is missing a part out of the bottom as seen in the picture. The only other issue is that the top of the one lamp has a dent and the top has some minor damage. Other then that they would make a great display piece. These are being sold as is. It measures 14" tall and 7" Diameter amd weighs about 5 lbs. Not sure if it is an original or reproduction. If it is a repro. It is a good one because it is highly detailed with cross bars and green glass(it has an outer pane of clear glass and an inner pane of green, it is not thick green glass) It also has a functioning oil lantern that can be taken out fron the bottom. Nice Old Brass Nautical Ship Lamp with Red Clear & Green Glasses NO RESERVE
Measures approx. 9-1/2" high to top of cap and 11-3/4" to top of handle. Made entirely of brass with glass lenses. The only marking or name that I could find anywhere is"THE MILLER CO. U.S.A. on the wick adjustment knob. And one side of the wick cover is signed"1925. This lantern apparently was electrified at one time, as there is a small hole neatly punched through the backside near the base. Otherwise it is complete and needs only light cleaning and polishing. A good old one, probably 1920-1940 vintage. I will combine shipping whenever possible, and normally will ship worldwide within one day of receiving payment. R.I. residents must add 7% sales tax. Vintage ship light in galvanized metal with green lens. The light is in overall good condition- it has more rust stains than rust. I wiped it down but it is dirty. Especially on the inside. The mirrors on the inside are intact, but dirty. See photo#7. Vintage Brass Wilcox Crittenden Conn Ship Boat Light Lantern Lamp Red & Green
I do not know how old this lantern is. I think that it is old enough to be considered vintage or possibly antique. The oval plate on the back of it reads. Wilcox, Crittenden& Co. Inc. Middletown, Conn. U.S.A. It appears to be brass. Most of the photos make the metal look redder than it actually is. The photos where the metal looks like it has a very slight greenish tint are closer to representing the actual color. I see where the close-up of the hole where the burner goes makes the edges look like maybe the metal is not brass. In real life. That is not the case. The edges look like brass. A magnet will not stick to any of the lantern and I believe that it is solid brass. I have provided a photo of the bottom being held up to a light to show how it might look when illuminated. Not including the ring at the top. It measures about 9 ½ ... moreinches high. The ring at the top adds about 1 3/4 inches. It weighs about 2 pounds 3.5 ounces. The divider is removable. The condition is much like you see it in the photos. The burner is missing. Otherwise. It is generally in excellent condition. The tarnish is a little uneven and there is a little green oxidation on the back that you can see in a photo. I have provided a close-up of a bend in the edge of the hole for the burner. I do not know if it should be there or not. A close-up shows a small shallow depression just below the seam on the chimney. I do not know if it was made that way or not. Otherwise, are no dents in the metal or breaks or cracks in the glass. The inside and a little of the outside of the glass could use some cleaning. It looks like there is some soot on the inside of the top part. There is a little of some kind of dark hard gunk on the bottom that you can see in the photo of the bottom. Large antique Perko ship lantern metal/Green glass
This lantern is from my Grandfather's collection and unfortunately he's unable to give me specifics on it. This is believed to be a ship lantern but the globe has"PERKO" near seam. Measures approximately 20" tall and 10" at widest point. This lantern is solid. Weighs approximately 12 pounds. Needs to be cleaned up, it's dirty from years in storage. My Grandfather said it worked when packed up years ago, this is being sold UNTESTED. I have not taken this apart or done any extensive cleaning. The Globe appears solid but looks like there could be some deep cracks although the surface is smooth. The glass has a few scratches and chips. I've photographed all imperfections. The frame of the lantern is tin with red ribbed design glass on one side and green ribbed design glass on the opposite side. The lantern is completed with a brass burner with an adjusting knob that turns with ease. A loop handle is on the top and a flat bracket is on the back of the lantern. This nice looking ship lantern would make a great addition to any nautical or lighting collection! The lantern was painted with gold paint at one point and the paint is flaking off. Here is a great nautical set of large ship brass and copper lanterns for your buying consideration. Recently acquired them at an auction that a party's collection of marine/nautical items were being sold. We will have a number of these pieces for sale separately in our Ebay store. The lanterns would make a great gift or keep them for yourself. I would guess these lanterns are of World War II vintage. No maker marks or year made marks on the lanterns that I can ascertain. Great set of port(red) and starboard(green) brass ship lanterns for your decor needs. The lanterns were electrified at some point in the past. The lenses in each one are glass and not cracked or blistered. Each glass piece ... morewas caulked into each of the lanterns at some point in the past. The lantern cases are in good shape. Show some finish loss. The red lantern has the lip along the top of the lantern bent in and that bottom corner has a ding. The glass lens was not damaged there in either place. Each lantern is 14.25" tall. By 11.5" across, by 10.75" wide. I do not see a maker's mark on the lanterns. The brass tops screw off to access the inside of each lantern. Someone has put aluminum foil inside to get better reflection of the light thru to the lens. These were electric lanterns originally, but the light unit inside is certainly not the original one. The back piece that the lanterns would slide on to a bar are still in place. The cords are the lanterns are older, but still look to be in usable condition. I would recommend you have the cords and wiring checked out by a professional before using them from a safety perspective. It is made out of brass and has one side with green ribbed glass and the other side with red ribbed glass. There is also a divider made of brass that separates the two colors from view of passing ships on the high seas(sometimes seen missing or damaged on other lights) The brass has a nice patina from many decades of life. There is a decent size dent on the slightly-domed top(please see photos) The side of the light is marked with Perko's logo and company info. Being made in Brooklyn,NY. My guess as to age would be from around the 1930s or 40s. It could be even earlier-back into the 20s or so- but I'm not certain. The glass is in good condition. Vintage Chrome Ship Boating Bow Stern Green Red Warning Light Marine Navigation
Up for auction is a vintage boating warning light recently found at auction in the suburban Philadelphia. PA area. It is found in good used condition. I am unable to test this to see if it is operational or not, but certainly could be made to work. This light has a tear drop shape and would be mounted in the bow to determine port or starboard sides. It is consistent with 1950-60's era boats. This light would be great for reuse or as a nautical decorative accessory. There is pitting and paint on the chrome surface, as seen in the photos. The lens appears to be plastic. It has a nice deco appearance. I cannot find any markings or numbers. This light measures approximately 3 7/8" x 6 1/4" x 3 14" in size. A nice maritime piece. PAIR OF ANTIQUE SHIP'S RUNNING LIGHTS This is a very attractive pair of ship's lights. Made of galvanized metal. Nicely weathered. Believe that were made in the 1920's.They are not a matching pair but they are pretty well matched as they are of identical style and dimension. The Port light has a badge with the inscription"British Manufacture" and because of the style and construction is to be believed that the Starboard light is of the same origin. Both have slide out oil burners with respective wicks and glass tubes, the wick adjusters are working normally. The Starboard blue-green glass is cracked but is firmly set and not at all loose(see photo) Measurements: 11 1/2" tall(without handle) x 6"wide x 6"wide. Up for bid is a vintage bow marker light fixture complete with oil burner made by Kilborn-Sauer Co. Out of Fairfield, Connecticut. The body is galvanized and top is brass. The top has written on it KILBORN-SAUER CO FAIRFIELD CONN U.S.A. The body is in good condition. Near the top rear the lip has small tear. The brass top has a small crack where it attaches to the galvanized metal. No cracks visible in glass but both pieces have several chips on the external ribs. The burner looks to be in working order and the wick screws up and down. You can use kerosene or bottled lamp oil that is easy to find. The tank appears clean and dry( I have not added oil to it. A small flash lite was temporarily inserted to show the colors of the lens) The burner twists counter-clockwise out of the bottom for easy refill and wick replacement. These are reproduction type lights meant to look antique. Port(red lens)and starboard(green lens) antique looking ship lights. Both are oil lamps and have a oil reservoir that twists out of the bottom. Never used or lit. Measures 9" tall. Great condition.

Large Antique Nautical Lantern Vintage 5-way Green Ship Lamp Port & Starboard
Large Antique Nautical Lantern Vintage 5-way Green Ship Lamp Port& Starboard Used- Antique Nautical Lantern This lantern has some discoloration around glass and on seams. Pictures reflect a bent spot along one of the upper seams. Approximate size is 14.5" tall including carry handle by 9" wide. This lantern has NOT been converted to an electrical light. I have included the lighted pictures so you can see the brilliance of the green glass. Glass does not have any cracks or major scratches in them. The glass does not have any marks in the glass, other than what appears to be consistent with how glass was made during that time. I do not know the exact age of this lantern. However it is the only one I have seen with 5 semi-globe sections. I was going to convert this Kerosene/oil lamp into a lighted lamp and clean it up for my nautical ... morethemed room, but never got around to it. I now am moving and liquidating some of my stuff. I did pay quit a bit for this lamp due to its unusualness and size, however I am willing to take any reasonable offers. This would be a great old kerosene o conversion lantern to put in a parlor, back porch, sitting room or make great lighting for movie night. I prefer the green over your normal red port lights because it is a little softer and not as aggressive in nature depending on your usage or if you decide to use it for a child's night lantern for sleeping. Copper Corner Ship Lanterns, Port & Starboard, Red + Green Glass, Nautical Decor
Pair of Copper finish Ship Corner Lanterns- Starboard" +"Port" Decorative Reproduction set- great for a nautical themed room! There is red painted glass on the'port' lantern. And green painted glass on the'starboard' lantern. Both lanterns are in fairly good condition. There is some chipping of paint on the glass- especially the green colored glass. The lantern inserts themselves have not been filled with oil or lit. They are marked"Made in Hong Kong. Each lantern measures approximately 12" tall with the handle up. Vintage Perko Port & Starboard Red & Green River Boat Ship Nautical Light LARGE
We are selling a set of Maritime Ship Lights. The plate reads Perko manufacturers Perkins Marine Lamp& Hardware Corp Miami Florida. We had these on display and have moved to a much smaller home and just don't have the room for them anymore. They make a great display and conservation piece. These measure approximately 8 1/2 inches x 8 1/2 inches x 12 inches high. One of the lights are green and the other is red for port and starboard. The gentleman we bought these from is a member of the Corps of Engineers and gave us this information about the lights. They are off of a riverboat that was over 100 years old and its home was on the Cumberland River. They scuttled the boat in the 90's to make it a home for fish(a fishing reef) He saved them for himself prior and used them as display. They currently are not wired for lights but could ... moreeasily be done. He called them riverboat port and starboard lights. These lights are very old but in good condition for there age there are some dings and cracks see photos. We bought a total of 4 lights from him see my other items as we are listing them all today. Vintage Nautical Ship Lamp Copper With Green Globe Starboard
Up for sale a vintage copper& brass maritime ship lamp with a green glass globe. The majority of the metal is copper although the back may be brass. The globe is partial and is sealed inside. The case is 14 inches tall measuring to the top of the handle.The round portion with the globe is 8 inches in diameter and the base portion is 8 1/2 by 8 1/2 inches square. This has been wired so the light is in good working order. There is a brass plate on the outside(pictured) it shows Starboard RT 400 NK 77. The globe is marked with a triangle with GGG inside it,also it shows BT43698 and HI 09/03/76 HI 09/01/81. The globe glass is in good shape. The top opens,the lighting has been wired(and works as pictured) and it has a 6 foot cord on it. Ships insured in the US. KILBORN SAUER GREEN GLASS LENSE BOAT SHIP LAMP LIGHT DECOR (#175)
This is a Kilborn 1012 green colored glass lense we found at an estate sale. It was still wrapped in the factory packaging but it was in bad shape. Height is 5+9/16 inch tall and 4+1/4 inch wide at the inside edge to inside edge. It has 1 tiny nick on the top(see pic#3) and no cracks. We accept Paypal. Buyer pays actual shipping!
