An antique Powell& Hanmer HOROSCOPE bicycle oil lamp from the late Victorian era. Everything is firm and works as intended and there are no dents. The two red side lenses and clear front bi-convex lens have no cracks or chips. As you can see the chimney roof is hinged in order to facilitate cleaning and one of the side windows slides up for lighting. The oil reservoir slides out for filling and is sound. There is some cracking on one side of the wick dome(see photo) But this does not affect function. Understandably there has been black paint loss over the years but personally I like the way it is and would't repaint. This little lamp measures just under 5 inches in height.

Normal 0 false false false EN-US JA X-NONE This light was purchased at an estate sale where most of my other auction listing came from.I was told by the folks selling that this was a ships lamp or light and would have been in a cabin onboard a ship. I cannot find any others to compare it to on ebay and there are no markings on the light other than on the socket inside the lamp and on the side as shown are the letters P&O. I am not sure if this was a gas type light or not. Although it has a socket where a bulb or something would have fit but on the side of the light it looks like a flint or sparker. The light will need the chrome trim cleaned.Sorry I am not much help here, please see the pictures and maybe someone out there can tell me more. The works are mounted on a nice piece of oak and there are exposed wires etc on the back. It appears ... morethe glass is missing however the clip holder to hold the glass guard in is in the metal hood. The metal hood is hinged and has holes to let the heat escape. The light measures 11" long x 5" wide and weighs unpackaged 3-1/2 pounds.At the top of the light is a knob that can be turned to control the brightness i am guessing. There is a dent on the bottom edge. This has made it out of round& where the insert only lines up in one position. One of the locking wires has come disconnected but is still present& included. Clear perko Fresnel lens in great condition with no cracks. This lens is a full cylinder. This lantern is just over 6" tall and is 4.25" across the b ottom. I have made no attempts to polish or repair this lamp. This is the condition i found it in. This piece will make a great little project for someone who likes to tinker with things. The spotlight has been positioned on an antique wood tripod stand, with its original leather strapes. Up for auction is this old P ERKO ships lamp. It must be the largest lamp made by Perko. It stands an impressive 2 4" tall. With handle raised. M easures 11 1/2" wide and 9 1/2" deep. This could have been a cargo lamp. Steaming l ight. Anchor light, or a stern light. Not really sure. Somewhere on it's journey it was electrified and has a bulb inside and the burner is not present. It has a thick Fresnel lens that is turning purpl e with age and it has a crack in it that is stable. Doesn't detract much from the old lamp. Antique Clear Pressed Glass/Brass Whale Oil Lamp Only With Snuffers and Wick
This is. I believe, a lamp intended to be used to burn whale oil. The wick is unburned, so I don't think it was ever put to use. The screw on cap, snuffers, and two wick holders are brass, with a knurled top edge on the cap to enhance one's grip when refilling the glass vessel. The cap and two wick holders are 2" high. The glass vessel is 3" high with a protruding 1" long ground glass stub. The device in is excellent condition with no chips or dings. There are some light scratches on the glass. There is an obvious lack of whaling here in Colorado. So where did this come from? Well, it's part of my parents estate. In the mid-1960's(as soon as I went off to college) they bought a very old, actually centuries old farm on Grove Street in Millville, Mass. The place was a fixer-upper that had been in the same family ... morefor at least a hundred years. Early. Copper& Brass Starboard Side Ships Lamp. This antique lamp was found at an estate sale in Henderson. NY on the eastern shore area of lake Ontario. The lamp is being offered as found for parts or refurbish or keep as is. The lamp stands 8.7/8" tall as is. The soot catcher or chimney cap is missing. The copper housing shows a lot of aged patina. There is a crack in the copper in the pierced trim that goes around the chimney(see image 9) The bottom door also has a split or crack(see image 5) The curved, green glass is in excellent condition for its age, just a few fine scratches and some dirt. This auction is for a very rare Miller brass binnacle hand lamp. The bottom removes with an oil lamp base with a simplex wick holder. It is signed E Miller Company made in USA and has a brand new wick. The oil lamp locks into the base. It has vent holes at the bottom and the top. It has a wood carrying handle and an Eisinglass/ isinglass front that is still intact. The lamp measures 8 ¼ inches with the handle up and 7 inches with the handle down and measures 2 ¾ inches in diameter. A ships binnacle lamp has no steel anywhere in it. It is made of all brass so that it would not interfere with the ships compass. This is a very rare piece, don't miss this opportunity to add this to your collection. This is an antique globe lantern with globe red glass. Measures 15.75" tall x 9 1/2" across. The beautiful red glass that appears to be hand blown reads"Perkins 10" Frederick Perkins founded the Perkins Marine Lamp Company in the late 1800's in Brooklyn. His lamps were hand formed and soldered from brass. Copper and galvanized steel. About 1922, the trademark name PERKO was introduced and their products were marked with PERKO instead of PERKINS. For sale is a"PERKO" brand glass globe for some sort of nautical light or lamp. It is light purple/amethyst in color and is marked"PAT. PEND" in tiny letters on the side. It measures about 2 3/4" tall. The diameter of the bottom is about 1 7/8" and this is the outside measurement of the very bottom edge. The globe is in very nice shape with no damage and just slight wear. The glass is ever so slightly cloudy on the inside but perhaps this can be polished away? Up for sale is this vintage Perko. Perkins marine lantern. It is in the same condition as when I bought it, dirty, and that is the way it will be received. It looks as though it was dropped on the side and sort of pushed in the side of the bottom. Not sure about the fixture inside, don't know if that is original. The glass looks great, don't see any cracks or chips. It measure apx. 14" tall and 7" across the bottom. If you have any questions, please let me know.

Offered for your bidding consideration is a very rustic looking Perkins Marine Lamp. Handsome verdigris abound! This lamp is located in Stockton. California which is, in tonage, the 4th busiest port on the West Coast. In the early days of California Stockton was the hub. Many regarded Stockton as the in-land San Francisco. It was a rough place and full of vice. Many different forms of boats and ships from sailing vessels to large paddlewheelers made their way to Stockton bringing people and goods. During WWII there were no less than two shipyards making destroyers, balloon barges and tugs for the U.S. Navy. Stockton was also home to the Stephen's Bros. Boat Builders from 1902 to 1987. I can't say what ship or boat this lamp was on, but it is from Port Stockton. It has a wonderful look you just can't replicate. Awesome decorating ... morepiece. Thank you for looking. The metal is either BRASS or BRONZE and EXTREMELY HEAVY! The red and green lenses look to be very old. ORIGINAL and quite THICK! The red one has a few dings in it as pictured, but the green one does not. Looks like it would have been mounted on a pole at the bow of the boat or vessel. GORGEOUS AUTHENTIC and OLD!
