Antique Vintage Boat Nautical Marine Oil lamps Port Starboard Green Red Ship
Up for auction are two antique nautical port/ starboard oil lamps. I have yet to see a pair exactly like this with smooth glass. Unfortunately i do not see any markings on them. The body's of the lamp appear to be galvanized but i could be wrong. The lenses of these lamps are in very nice shape with no visable cracks. One is green and one is red. These lamps appear complete minus the one is missing a part out of the bottom as seen in the picture. The only other issue is that the top of the one lamp has a dent and the top has some minor damage. Other then that they would make a great display piece. These are being sold as is. Here is a rare original fresnel lens from an old ship's light. Measures approximately 4 1/2" OD. 3 1/4" ID and about 4 1/4" high. Vintage Perkins Marine PERKO Red Lens Boat Lamp
This is a vintage boat lamp from a local estate. It is a Perkins Marine Lamp and Hardware Corp. Perko) RED boat light. Lens is in great condition. Lamp can be repainted to look as new if the buyer so desires. It's a beauty. Please check my other listing for another vintage PERKO boat lamp. DIMENSIONS Height = 11.5 inches Width = 10.5 inches Sides = 8 inches Weight = 6 lbs 3.2 oz The bottom cap opens and closes. Very solid. Plenty of character. I purchased it from an estate along with an 1862 Brinton Compass. The mother vessel this lamp came from is unknown. This is a rare find. Every nautical fan will agree.

Antique Perkins Marine Light Lamp Perko Lantern Red Glass Globe
This is an antique globe lantern with globe red glass. Measures 15.75" tall x 9 1/2" across. The beautiful red glass that appears to be hand blown reads"Perkins 10" Frederick Perkins founded the Perkins Marine Lamp Company in the late 1800's in Brooklyn. His lamps were hand formed and soldered from brass. Copper and galvanized steel. About 1922, the trademark name PERKO was introduced and their products were marked with PERKO instead of PERKINS. antique Metal Signal Lantern, Marine? Perkins Marine & Hdw.Corp green/red glass
this is a very old metal signal light of some sort. Crumpled metal label on back reads PERKINS MARINE LAMP& HDW CORP. Brooklyn NY so I assume it is a boating or navigational lamp of some sort. 11 1/2" tall. About 6" wide and 9" deep with the flap that separates the two ridged glass lenses, one is green and one is red. Lenses are held in with copper or brass fittings and cap is same metal. The metal body is rusted out on about the bottom 3/4 inch and fits over somekind of lighting mechanism but I don't know what kind. this could be used for parts for another lamp of the same type or possibly restored, I don't know. back has a flat mount of some sort. don't know if it goes over an electric or gas light on a post, or how it was used. Marine Bow or Mast Lantern Vintage Ruby Red and Emerald Green Fesnal Lense
Vintage Wilcox and Crittenden Middletown Conn Marine Lantern from the early 1900s. I am not sure if a candle or an electric bulb was inserted in the bottom. Beautiful ruby red and emerald green fresnal glass lenses. Flat back with mounting bracket and ring handle. Height 8" and 5"across. As found condition. I have not cleaned or touched the finish.Lenses look to be in very good condition. Probably used on the Connecticut River or Long Island Sound. I would guess the red/green paint was added by the ship. One of the photos was taken with a flashlight inserted so you can visualize the glass color. This is a real piece of maritime history.

This is a matched pair of antique marine lanterns made by National Marine Lamp Co. I think they were used to signal other ships but this is not my area of expertise. They are wedge shaped with one blue glass lens and the other is red. The glass is very thick and ribbed and in surprisingly wonderful condition. They each are also marked with"Lense Triplex Trade Mark Dec 20 1910" which I believe is referring to the glass lens only. The Red lamp is marked"MFRD by National Marine Lamp Co New York" and the Blue has an oval metal tag on the back that says"Geo. B. Carpenter& Co Chicago" I don't know why there are 2 different marks as the lanterns are otherwise identical aside from the glass color. I am assuming they were painted black by someone at some point but if so it has been a long while. Up for auction is a pair of electrified ship lanterns. I picked these up from a local estate. So I'm unsure the history of these items. Items are dirty and show normal wear from over the years. Vintge Red Glass Lamp Lantern Oakford Marine? Safety Railroad Train? Light
This is a Vintage Lantern or Lamp. It is marked OAKFORD on the metal base. The glass is thick and red in color. It is marked 9S 3129 TYPE- O. It has a loop handle and wire cord(that has been cut from where it must have originally been attached to) It is heavy. I have seen something similar that were made for railroad trains and marine ships. Maybe this in another type used for either of those? I am not sure and you may know more than I about this item. It is older. Possibly from around the 1960's to 70's. It is in good condition, no rust but it has that used metal look and odor. The glass is solid, no cracks. This is a vintage Perko clamp on navigational green& red bow light. Bow light has a Pat date on it of Dec 20. 1921. Light is marked Perko, Perkins Marine Lamp& Hardware Corp. Brooklyn NY, USA. Light is a clamp on type that measures 14 1/2 inches long not counting the turn clamp on bottom, adding that it comes to 17 inches with clamp open, space between clamp is 1& 10 8ths inches. Circumfrance around the top glass part is 10 inches. Light is 8 inches from top to the flashlight end. The glass lenses are red and a blue green, the green lens looks blue when not turned on, when on it looks like a blue green. Light takes two D batteries and works great. The lamp was originally produced by the Tideland Signal Company and is probably the Maxlumina Model ML-155. When new. The marine lamp cost approximately $1400. Also, the piece is originally from Baltimore's Francis Scot Key Bridge over the Patapsco River a mile in front of Fort McHenry where Key wrote the Star Spangled Banner in 1814 now our National Anthem and remained there for many years. I bought this from a electrical contractor who serviced the bridge and replaced it years ago. This lantern was modified for home or garden use by attaching a 110 power cord. Here is a Large 8 inch tall RED LENSE REAL GLASS marked Corning on glass Nautical SHIP. DOCK, or PIER Nautical Light. This 8 inch tall lamp has a 3 1/2 inch tall RED glass bezile lense, There are only a couple of specs on the glass that appears to be in very good condition NO CRACKS. The base is 6 inches across and the light is very heavy duty. Not sure if it is military as it appears to be somewhat grey in coloring. There is a number 9-S 4473-L in raised lettering on top. There is a 64 inch heavy duty cord with some type of plug in socket end see photo 5. Not sure if from a ship, dock or pier. Not sure if it works or what type of power supply it used. Suppose it could be rewired. REALLY NICE CONDITION VINTAGE NAUTICAL PIECE. Not sure if it could have been from the RAILROAD? Large Antique Vintage Blue Red Marine Navigational Boat Bow light with Flag hole
This is a very heavy and large bow light for a boat. It weighs almost 4 lbs. before packing. It has a red glass lens on one side and a blue glass lens on the other. The housing I think is solid bronze that was chrome plated with a gorgeous patina from use and age. There is a spot in the top to place a flag on a pole(about 5/8" hole) It's in very nice vintage condition just the way it is with the patina or it can be rechromed to make it look like new. It's about 7 1/4" long X 4 3/4" X 3 1/4" tall. You don't see many this size. I was told it was removed from a Chris Craft boat But I can not confirm that. Sold as-is. Scarce Pair Antique National Marine Lamp Maritime Navy Anchor Red Globe Lanterns
Just out of a local house is this nice pair of Red globe maritime lanterns. Our lantern books show that they were called Globe Lanterns.Navy Lanterns, Signal Lanterns, or Anchor Lights. This pair was made by the National Marine Lamp Co. around 1900. The lamps are galvanized and measure about 15 5/8 inches tall to the top of the ring or about 14 inches to the top of the lantern with the ring folded down. It measures about 9 1/2 inches wide. They are both in good condition. One has a brass tag marked MF'RD by National Marine Lamp Co. New York. The globe has no cracks but has some paint on the surface and some light scratching. It is missing the catch for the bottom door and the font is missing. The other lantern is not marked with the makers plate. The globe has some paint on it and has some light scratching as well but no cracks. It does ... morehave its original font with the burner marked National Marine Lamp Co. It also has a 1/4 inch hole punched in the bottom plate. Both lanterns have had several coats of paint. See photos. Would make a nice addition to any collection. Guaranteed as described. This is an authentic original nautical/maritime portside glass lamp enclosure that many years ago was fashioned into a simply put. Fantastic lamp. There is a socket on the inside that illuminates the red glass and I must say that it looks incredible lit up. Obviously there is a socket at the top as well that will require the lamp shade of your choosing to complete the piece. I chose not to clean and scrub the piece so as to depict the age and authenticity more clearly. This is absolutely not a reproduction. I believe this starboard red lamp enclosure sat atop a piling somewhere in some waterway for who knows how many years. Antique PERKO lantern with a thick Ruby Red lens which has a tiny chip. The lantern measures approximately 10 1/2" high(not including the handle- 1 3/4" and 7" wide. It has little Christmas Tree vents at the top and at the posterior bottom. Hinged door opens to an interior ring. Interior burner is missing. The well known PERKO company has been making marine lanterns since the early 1900's in Brooklyn. NY. I have no idea how old this lantern is. Offered here is a LARGE Vintage cast bronze brass marine light that has a stunning heavy red glass Fresnel lens. Sitting this in front of a window it looks like the light is turned on- This piece is Very heavy with the brass construction- embossed 9-S-4461-L on top. There is some patina and light scratches on cast bronze brass housing-looking down into center of lens glass. Part of the electrical cord remains inside- This piece sits on a wood blog base with the cord that enters the bottom of lantern and runs thru the center of wood block base that measures 9" x 9 1/2" This Fresnel lantern light overall height is 7 1/2" sitting on wood block and weighs more than 13 lbs. This red glass lantern has Fresnel lens all-round lantern with protective brass bars and bronze screw on top. Good vintage condition; no dents in the brass and ... moreonly a couple small sliver chips on a couple of louvers of red fresnel glass; The brass lid is a bit tight for me to screw on and off using a wrench. This piece was made to use as a table light- with outlet cord and plug that looks older. Plugs in fine and needs a bulb- but I could not open top with bolts- my hands were not strong enough to turn wrench. It likely needs a small bulb and would work fine. They have been converted to lamps but are in non-working order. The tip on the red is broken off the green is broken and not as long as it should be. The inner rim of the red lens in cracked off at the bottom. This is pictured. They are in as found condition and have been turned into lamps. They currently are in need of some TLC.
