The cord is 10 feet long and in decent shape, but is a little stiff from age. As shown in the photos, the cap flips open to access the bulb.

Up for auction is a antique bow light. I am unsure what boat this was off of but it was definitely removed from a boat here on long island. It appears to have a brass body and blue/ red glass. It does come with a wooden mount. The only issue with this light is it is chipped in the blue portion of the glass. Other then that it appears to be in nice shape. It has been sitting on a shelf for years and could use a good cleaning. It is being sold in as is condition. Please see my other antique nautical items up for auction this week. This is an antique globe lantern with globe red glass. Measures 15.75" tall x 9 1/2" across. The beautiful red glass that appears to be hand blown reads"Perkins 10" Frederick Perkins founded the Perkins Marine Lamp Company in the late 1800's in Brooklyn. His lamps were hand formed and soldered from brass. Copper and galvanized steel. About 1922, the trademark name PERKO was introduced and their products were marked with PERKO instead of PERKINS. The following is the only information I have found on them, which was located by searching Haledy under Google Books there is an article in the 1952 Popular Science magazine. Here is what it says, The light has a cold-cathode tube in this electronic signal flasher produces bright light visible up to a mile, 3 90 volt batteries provide the current. Both measure approximately 6 1/4" x 5 3/4" x 10"h. Made of steel. I am not sure what industry these lights were used either in maritime or aviation. Both are not working. I am not able to undo one of the screws with just a screw driver, so I don't know the condition of the inside. It simply looks great. I picked them up at a novelty shop about 12 years ago and they were in the hallway leading to my nautical rec room. We downsized to a condo and my wife won- it's all Victorian now. The light is 11 inches long with the hanger& 4 inches wide(28cm x 10cm) weigh a little over a pound and made of Plastic. Easily hangs anywhere because of the weight. The red lenses make you think your in a submarine. Works perfectly and in near mint condition and will never rust. Even up close it looks real. This is a Vintage Lantern or Lamp. It is marked OAKFORD on the metal base. The glass is thick and red in color. It is marked 9S 3129 TYPE- O. It has a loop handle and wire cord(that has been cut from where it must have originally been attached to) It is heavy. I have seen something similar that were made for railroad trains and marine ships. Maybe this in another type used for either of those? I am not sure and you may know more than I about this item. It is older. Possibly from around the 1960's to 70's. It is in good condition, no rust but it has that used metal look and odor. The glass is solid, no cracks. Vintage 1921 PERKO Green Red Marine Boat Navigational Bow Light
This is a vintage Perko clamp on navigational green& red bow light. Bow light has a Pat date on it of Dec 20. 1921. Light is marked Perko, Perkins Marine Lamp& Hardware Corp. Brooklyn NY, USA. Light is a clamp on type that measures 14 1/2 inches long not counting the turn clamp on bottom, adding that it comes to 17 inches with clamp open, space between clamp is 1& 10 8ths inches. Circumfrance around the top glass part is 10 inches. Light is 8 inches from top to the flashlight end. The glass lenses are red and a blue green, the green lens looks blue when not turned on, when on it looks like a blue green. Light takes two D batteries and works great. VINTAGE MAXLUMINA MODEL ML-155? GENUINE MARINE NAUTICAL RED LANTERN WORKING LAMP LIGHT. Dimensions: It measures approximately 19" in height by 9" diameter. The lamp was originally produced by the Tideland Signal Company and is probably the Maxlumina Model ML-155. When new. The marine lamp cost approximately $1400. Also, the piece is originally from Baltimore's Francis Scot Key Bridge over the Patapsco River a mile in front of Fort McHenry where Key wrote the Star Spangled Banner in 1814 now our National Anthem and remained there for many years. I bought this from a electrical contractor who serviced the bridge and replaced it years ago. This lantern was modified for home or garden use by attaching a 110 power cord. This is a Vintage Nautical Ship Maritime Red Lens Electric Boat Lamp It does work. The red paint is chipping. The Brass housing for the lamp is not damaged. It is about 9 inches tall and is 5.25 inches across at the bottom. There is no damage to the cord. The bolt top(nut) to a post is missing. It looks like a post has been replaced. PAIR OF VINTAGE CHROME OVER COPPER RED & BLUE GLASS BOAT LIGHT HOUSING NR
For your consideration we are offering a pair of vintage chrome over copper Red& Blue glass boat lights. These lights were purchased from an old fishing camp on Sanibel Island that belonged to J. Charles McCullough of the McCullough seed company. These lenses are in good condition with the chrome in fairly bright condition. The red lens has a small portion of the chrome missing at the top(as seen in the second to last image) The blue lens. On the bottom, has a little more oxidation than the rest of the piece, but some steel wool and elbow grease should clean it up. The glass lenses are in very good condition with just some slight nicks, 4 of them, to the right side glass edge on the red les and one nick to the right side of the blue lens. HUGE Vintage Nautical Ship Lamp Light Removable Red Port Glass Brass or Copper?
International bidders MUST contact me prior to bidding for a shipping estimate! Up for sale is a HUGE Large Vintage Antique Nautical Ship Maritime Lantern Light. This light is heavy. It weighs a little over 12 pounds. I'm not sure if it's copper or brass. It's also very LARGE. It measures about 13 1/2" tall, 13 3/4" wide and is approximately 9 1/2" deep from each corner to the back. It was a originally a kerosene or oil ship's lantern. It's an amazing light! It's in excellent working condition, it's been newly re-wired& has an antique switch in the front(converted to electric) The switch is turned to right each time you want to turn it off or no. It has a removable red port glass(see photos of it turned on, with and without the red glass) The clear glass has a small 1/2" chip in one of the ... moreribbed sections; it's a very heavy thick glass so this does not compromise anything. Near the top of the lamp there's an emblem that has the numbers"3883" There is also some etching on both the clear and red glass. I wonder if this belonged to a military ship. As most items on those ships were marked with serial#s etc. The writing on each glass piece says"DHJE 3883, No. 654, E.31.5.61" It's not very noticable and you can't see it unless you really look; it's not seen when the light is on. Condition wise.it's vintage! There are a few dings& dents. Some areas of wear etc.but considering it was a ship light, it's going to have a weathered old look, which I personally prefer. Here is a Large 8 inch tall RED LENSE REAL GLASS marked Corning on glass Nautical SHIP. DOCK, or PIER Nautical Light. This 8 inch tall lamp has a 3 1/2 inch tall RED glass bezile lense, There are only a couple of specs on the glass that appears to be in very good condition NO CRACKS. The base is 6 inches across and the light is very heavy duty. Not sure if it is military as it appears to be somewhat grey in coloring. There is a number 9-S 4473-L in raised lettering on top. There is a 64 inch heavy duty cord with some type of plug in socket end see photo 5. Not sure if from a ship, dock or pier. Not sure if it works or what type of power supply it used. Suppose it could be rewired. REALLY NICE CONDITION VINTAGE NAUTICAL PIECE. Not sure if it could have been from the RAILROAD?
