The lamps are large and measure 14 1/2" tall and have a diameter of 7" These solid brass ship lanterns at one point were electrified however no permanent damage was done during the electrifying process and the added sockets can be easily removed bringing them back for their original purpose. If you intend to use them with electricity then a new cord will be required as the cords were cut during removal. Neither has the interior oil lamp and I have been told that just about any small metal wide bottom oil lamp can be used. Both lanterns have their original thick heavy clear lens and these are in excellent condition. They also retain their bottom lenses(shown in images) Both tops are hinged with their original thumb screw and have their original bail handle. The brass is in very good condition with no damage. I cannot find any others to compare it to on ebay and there are no markings on the light other than on the socket inside the lamp and on the side as shown are the letters P&O. I am not sure if this was a gas type light or not. Although it has a socket where a bulb or something would have fit but on the side of the light it looks like a flint or sparker. The light will need the chrome trim cleaned.Sorry I am not much help here, please see the pictures and maybe someone out there can tell me more. The works are mounted on a nice piece of oak and there are exposed wires etc on the back. Antique Brass Nautical Light Ship Lantern This is a heavy(7-1/2lb. antique brass ship lantern. It is in good condition with the exception of several dents and a bent section of the guard. Please see photos. The internal lamp part is missing but a big 22oz Yankee Candle fits inside perfectly! Candle not included. The fixture is ventilated on top and bottom. It was designed for a flame burning oil lamp originally. The patina is nice. The glass lens is in great shape. The silver colored reflector inside is also in excellent condition. Vintage Beehive Glass Boat Dock Passage Marine Light Replacement Antique Covers
I don't know much about these but they are thick glass shades for marine usage. Decks, docks, landscaping, they measure 4-1/8” H x 3-1/8” in diameter, nice glass beehive pattern. Feel free to ask questions and I'll do my best to answer. They have a dusty layer that would easily wipe clean. In good condition, there are a few glass slivers that have chipped of on the inside around the little hole. Each have one very small sliver chip on the outside around the small hole. Each have one or two even smaller chip around the outer edge of the large hole. They are extremly tiny but I wanted to mention everything. Antique PERKO Brass Adjustable Marine Spot Light Boat Search Light Nautical
This is a really cool old Perko marine spotlight or searchlight. It is solid brass and I think the light holder is a cast red brass. I couldn't find anything on the light that a magnet would stick too. It seems to be structurally in good condition. The brass could use cleaning and polishing as there's a lot of patina to the brass. The thin strip around the top and bottom of the light have some small slits. Maybe for fitting the brass around the body of the light. The light is also adjustable to be able to aim the light. The half label on the back is a Perko label. Heavy and well made. It has a GE bulb and I was told it works. The wiring is frayed and you should definitely have it checked out or rewired if you're planning on using it as a light though. See the pictures for more detail. Up for auction is this old P ERKO ships lamp. It must be the largest lamp made by Perko. It stands an impressive 2 4" tall. With handle raised. M easures 11 1/2" wide and 9 1/2" deep. This could have been a cargo lamp. Steaming l ight. Anchor light, or a stern light. Not really sure. Somewhere on it's journey it was electrified and has a bulb inside and the burner is not present. It has a thick Fresnel lens that is turning purpl e with age and it has a crack in it that is stable. Doesn't detract much from the old lamp. Up for auction is a antique bow light. I am unsure what boat this was off of but it was definitely removed from a boat here on long island. It appears to have a brass body and blue/ red glass. It does come with a wooden mount. The only issue with this light is it is chipped in the blue portion of the glass. Other then that it appears to be in nice shape. The outer glass appears to be original too. Though one panel is broken and will need replacement. There is normal corrosion and patina in accordance with age and use of this piece. It has the makers mark on the knob though I cannot quite make it out. The brass part closest to the wick opening is marked TM. We are offering today this large 20" antique Miller Co lantern. Believed to be from 1930's to 1940s rare and very desirable. We have not been able to find another one like it. They are usually flat on the back. Ours is V shaped that fits in a corner with bracket pocket on the left. Its red fresnel glass lens was made by Perko with Mold No.35 on its side. Glass is in good condition with about 3 tiny. Tiny chips on the ribs of the glass that are hardly noticeable. Also has a few tiny paint specks, age& dirt. No cracks though. The lantern has been painted red sometime in its life that’s faded, chipping. It comes with a chain& Original brass Miller Co. burner& hurricane ... moreglass that’s attached to bottom cover. The hurricane is in good condition with some tiny chipping along the bottom rim that goes into the burner. Also is soiled. The lantern’s body is in good-fair condition except looks like something heavy was put on its top& it caved in a little to the right. But does not affect the structural integrity, it just adds character! The top still opens fine. This would make a unique& super conversation piece. If only it could talk! Old Antique Brass Ships Kerosene Light. T his piece is in g ood condition for its age. Shows some signs of use though. T he very top of the lantern has a dent in it and the handle has a light bend i n it. There are a few small dings on the out side. The glass in good condition no chips or cracks as far as can be seen. T he burner is in good condition as well. We aren't sure if this is the original burner. The burner comes out of the bottom of the lantern to refill it. T he burner is also missing 1 of the 3 clips that holds it in. W e are not experts on sailing lanterns but this is how it came to us. I t also looks like it can be hang or hung by the brackets in the back as shown in the pictures. T his is a nice peace of old time sailing history. HUGE ANTIQUE VTG Ca 1904 TIPPED LIGHT BULB PLASTER BASE PANTALOON STEM BLOWN HUGE ANTIQUE VTG Ca 1904 TIPPED LIGHT BULB PLASTER BASE PANTALOON STEM BLOWN This offering is for a large antique light bulb. This has 2 patent dates on top of the brass base reading Nov 8 1904 and Nov. 22 1904. I am by no means an expert when it comes to antique light bulbs. The bulb is quite large measuring app. 11½" in length from the top of the tip top the bottom of the base and the circumference is 26 1/2" The bulb is hand blown having a wonderful free formed tip but does have a slight chip at the tip which really does not take away from it’s appearance. The base is brass with short threads measuring aprox. 1 1/4" in height and 1 1/2" in diameter. The base is also plaster filled with a purple glass button. There is a crack and a ding ... morein the purple glass holding the button. I believe the stem is referred to as a Pantaloon style having a glass tube around each lead that extends upward from from the stem. Old antique Ships brass light cover w/ hook and beveled glass front, 1800s ?
Hello. Up for bid is what I believe to be an antique ships brass light cover. I was told it could be a very old cover for a ships nautical instrument. The patina on it is very old as is the old beveled glass front. Truthfully I ve never seen another one so have nothing to compare to. Its definately old and in good shape but what exactly it was used for, I am not sure. The inside paint is a light colored paint and is flaking off. The glass is very nice with normal age wear and scuffs. I cleaned the glass a little but did no other restoration on this item. It looks to good to mess with. The brass handle is tight and swings freely. The body of the lamp cover shows normal wear and dings, nothing bad. The large hook on the back looks good and is very solid. Looks like it hooks to the ship with the hook. There is no bottom and I dont know if it ... morehad one. The size is demonsrtated in picture two with my hand as a size measurement. Since the hallmark is just on the kerosene knob I can't sa y for sure but it could be even olde r because it does look very similar to their style of older lights. Very unique. The metal is either BRASS or BRONZE and EXTREMELY HEAVY! The red and green lenses look to be very old. ORIGINAL and quite THICK! The red one has a few dings in it as pictured, but the green one does not. Looks like it would have been mounted on a pole at the bow of the boat or vessel. GORGEOUS AUTHENTIC and OLD! 1900s Great Britain Cargo Light- Vintage Maritime Nautical Brass Square Antique Lantern. This exquisite brass maritime cargo light is in good condition. The top opens and closes with a latch. The wick rolls up and down freely and appears to be about new. There is no oil or kerosene. This was part of my grandparent's estate. The glass panels are intact. Not broken or cracked; however, there are some blemishes: 1) Glass glove is cracked at base(see photo) 2) Top needs repair(see top view photo) 3) Lamp base is detached from base. Size: Height: 15" Height with Handle: 18" Base Width: 6" x 6" Width at widest point: 9" This is a lovely collection piece that will make a great addition to your nautical or brass collection. This auction is for 2 Large Antique Perko Nautical Maritime Ships Light Lanterns. They are in overall good condition. They could be restored or left as is. They have been painted sometime during there life and I'm not sure what is under the paint. The Perko label and the top are brass. They are 19 inches tall not including the handle and 11 inches wide and weigh 17 lbs each. I will ship in two separate boxes so the calculated shipping will be twice what it shows.
