Description This is a stunning piece of naval history. This naval brass man over board light beacon structure dates back to circa 1940's. There is a light bulb and glass cover at the bottom. At the other end there is an arrow engrave into the brass with the word"Top" This table came from the estate of an avid maritime and nautical antiques collector. Offered here is this beautiful antique brass ship maritime marine lamp. It is in original untouched condition. It may need to be cleaned or polished but I am selling it as is as some collectors like things in original condition and also. I wouldn't know what cleaner to use so as not to ruin the natural patina. The light still has the original wiring intact. There are no chips or cracks to the glass that I can see. The protective cage around the glass globe is intact. The lamp is in overall nice condition. Vintage Cast Brass Ship's Nautical Passageway Light - Rewired & Polished #6

You are bidding on the vintage cast brass Ship's nautical passageway ceiling light shown in the above photos. This light measure about 8 1/2 inches tall and about 4 inches wide. The base has three mount holes that are about 2 1/2 inches off the center of the light. The globe is glass and in good condition. The light weighs almost 5 pounds. You can access the bulb area by unscrewing the cage and then unscrewing the glass globe. The glass is undamaged. But could use some additional cleaning. The cage and the glass globe screw on and off with little effort. This light has been totally rewired with all new UL-Listed parts rated for any voltage of ... more250 volts or less. The new bulb holder takes a normal screw in house bulb of 100 watts or less. The new wires exit from the new hole we drilled on the bottom of the light, and the original conduit holes have been plugged with copper caps. These lights were recovered from one of our many salvage operations. These lights will have some minor wear that may include bending to the cage ribs. While we have removed most of the original paint and polished the light, some buyer may want to do additional polishing work. The cage has one broken rib near the threaded ring on the bottom side. This is a brass spot light off of a 1923 Columbia River Gillnet boat that is very unique. The lens says'Per Lux 200T' it belonged to a friend of mine who removed it from a 1923 Gillnet boat. This light measures about 7½" tall. And the base is 4" in diameter. The socket is marked Edison, and the switch Bryant. There is a small ½" hairline crack on the first ring of the base. I tried to photograph it. But it didn't show up in the photo. The loop that hung the lamp has been cut off to make it a table lamp. The cord is definitely not original or appropriate to the lamp. Vintage ship's starboard lantern in a unique tri-plex shape. One of the largest I've seen at 21" from base to finial. 11" x 11" square with the typical curved front. Thick blue glass(not an interchangeable light filter) with horizontal grooves. Brass trim and a brass finial with hanging ring. Great"keyhole" vent holes throughout. Suffers from an untidy paint job and is in need of some updating. Missing original kerosene lamp and has been converted with a light socket. Needs new electrical cord. Brass has a lovely patina and there is still some vintage kerosene soot on the inside of this lamp. There is a small spot on the bottom by a switch of some sort that corrosion has eaten through the metal. But it's repairable and not endemic to the rest of the lantern. Glass is free of cracks or chips.

Vintage Pauluhn Ship's Bronze / Brass Wall Light Salvage find.
This is a recovered"Pauluhn" Bronze/ Brass Ship's Light that was salvaged by a personal friend of mine over 30 years ago(Captain Gardner. RIP) This was rinsed off once over 30 years ago and not touched since. It still has the grit/ mud/ sediment from the bottom of the waters clinging to it as the day it was brought up on deck. I knew this Captain friend of mine for many years and he gave this to me with other salvaged Nautical Items as I built my collection(HE was in the salvage business for over 20 years along the Gulf Coast) We lost Captain Gardner in 2004 and I think about the great stories we shared over the years. I am down sizing and want to pass this on to somebody that might be able to appreciate it almost as much as I have. I could clean this up, but I am going to leave this to your discretion. If my memory serves correct, the good Captain told me that this item came from a self propelled wood hull barge that sunk in Galveston Bay. This antique solid brass anchor light No.1235 Great Britian 1919 hung in a home on Douglas Island in Alaska for many years. Originally it most likely was used as an oil burning lamp with a globe which was removed for converting to electric lighting. The brass name plate and fresnel lens are the outstanding features that give this light character. The brass has aged nicely and still is good looking.

I believe it to be original because the hallmark on the glass is the same as on the casing. This is an early brass boat bow light for parts or restoration. It is made by solar and is pat. jan31'99. The housing and one lens is in good condition but will need the other two replaced.
