I cannot find any others to compare it to on ebay and there are no markings on the light other than on the socket inside the lamp and on the side as shown are the letters P&O. I am not sure if this was a gas type light or not. Although it has a socket where a bulb or something would have fit but on the side of the light it looks like a flint or sparker. The light will need the chrome trim cleaned.Sorry I am not much help here, please see the pictures and maybe someone out there can tell me more. The works are mounted on a nice piece of oak and there are exposed wires etc on the back. It appears the glass is missing however the clip holder to hold the glass guard in is in the metal hood. The metal hood is hinged and has holes to let the heat escape. The light measures 11" long x 5" wide and weighs unpackaged 3-1/2 pounds.At the top of the light is a knob that can be turned to control the brightness i am guessing. I will combine items to save on shipping expenses, but please contact me for shipping rates as they vary depending on location, and the rates shown are only a ball park and apply only to Canada not including postal tax. Portable TV lamp. Sticker on back reads underwriter's lab. Nice ship on the water. Back in the fifties when someone bought a new TV this would be given to the customer as a bonus, that is why they are called TV lamps. This one actually survived all those years and works. Due to the age there is typical age crazing but nothing is broken. On very top there might be a slight loss of paint but no chips. This looks wonderful lit up at night. Would recommend a low wattage bulb on this lamp. 10 inches high by about 12 inches in length.

Globe has chip to the lip that sits between the housing and lid. This chip is not visible when lid is on and light is lit. Both sliding doors(front/bottom) are present which makes this an even rarer find. It stands 12 inches high with about a 6 inch diameter. Estate sale find. This is a heavy duty water proof ships navigational Blue lamp. It's 9 1/2" tall and 5 1/2" wide and the mount on the bottom is 7 1/2" across. The glass is deep blue and has some chips but no cracks. This would make a great lamp or art project. Rare Vintage NY & NJ Port Authority Red Lamp Light Beacon Nautical Airports
For auction is a rare Light/Lamp/Beacon. From the New York and New Jersey Port Authority. It's used but in great shape and DOES WORK! I tested it with a 6 volt battery, but its probably designed for a 9 or 12. I'm not sure what this was for exactly, but some kind of signal, possibly for a port, an airport, or one of the bridges/tunnels. It's all steel, and has a glass globe on top with a red plastic insert. It measures 8 inches long, 4 3/4 inches wide, and about 12 inches tall including the globe. It's made tough, weighing 8 pounds. It has a toggle switch on the top. It doesn't blink but does turn on steady. It's supposed to blink but there may be a wiring error or an issue with the relay. There is also some rust on the bottom of the battery box but no holes. These are obsolete and acquired legally. It is OLD! Look at the twisted rope style connection between the wall mounting plate and the old bow light. Of course the red and green bow light lenses are glass. SL039 Marconi Spot, Signal, Floor, Lamp, Light by Authentic Models
International maritime communication used Morse as communication standard until 1999. Every Navy vessel carried a variety of Morse code devices on board. The large light next to the wheelhouse on the bridge was the most spectacular and effective one. Handled by a specially trained sailor skilled in signals. It functioned as a ship-bound lighthouse, with the added ability to transmit highly detailed messages. Authentic Models' spotlight dates back to the 1930's and was likely used on a French Navy ship. By moving slatted louvers the signalman sent short and longer spaced rays of light that could be read by trained sailors in the distance. This Authentic Models replica of a maritime signal light comes complete with stand and variable dimmer switch to adjust light intensity. Completely functioning as from the factory. Constructed of ... morepolished aluminum, stainless steel and bronze.There are a few scuffs on the light which would polish out with a little effort. The fins on the top of the light are a little bent and there is a single bolt missing on the back of the light housing. There are also extensive scuffs on the three leg stand from storage and handling. Still a very impressive and beautiful functioning conversation piece. The overall height of the light will vary based on the setup or spread of the tripod legs but will be approximately 70" tall overall. The light head is approximately 20" square and the lens itself is 13.5" across including the frame. This is a large item which will ship in two separate packages. The head will ship in a box about 22"X22"x22" and weighs about 34lbs. The stand will ship in a box 10"X10"x60" and weighs about 15lbs. This light is selling online in the $1,300 range.
