This is a great find. This is an authentic vintage ships binnacle compass with built in oil or gas lamp. But this one has been converted to an electric table lamp. The little side cubby that would originally hold the oil now holds a small bulb and of course, another bulb at the top. Mounted on a nice wooden base, felted bottom. The compass/dial has been set so it does not move. I left the wonderful patina, but it could be cleaned and shined. I find no dings or dents. Nice old Nautical Buoy Light/Lamp. It is 9" tall and 4" wide. A pull chain is the On/Off switch. A brass bell sits on top and rings as the boat sways. The glass globe is frosted white and has no cracks that I can see. The cord is pretty old and the cloth is frayed in one spot. There are many scuffs and areas where there is paint loss. Vintage Copper Ship lantern Original NOT reproduction. This was on a ship! Stern Co 1974 Double light front which is rare Has a few dents- nothing major. One on the top one on the back side. Please see pictures. Has set up for 2 light bulbs- I have always used as a display on my kitchen floor in the corner. I'm assuming it needs to be re- wired if you want to use as a light.
