I am selling an old PERKO Ship Light. As pictured. There are 4-5 small cracks in the metal around the screws, but it is still very solid and together structurally. I am not sure how old it is. An expert would know better. The light itself measures about 13 inches from top to bottom. Perfect for re-purposing. Up for auction is an awesome antique Neptune Brass Oil Lantern. This is a"ship" or"maritime" lantern. It measures approximately 15" tall(not including handle) and 6.5" square(not including fittings/external bars) The lid is closed by a latch and clip. Open this to expose the inner chimney. Which can be easily removed by pulling up on the two brass handles in opposing corners. The chimney is in like new condition and the wick raiser works like a dream. There are four outer glass panes that easily slide in and out for cleaning. They are crystal clear and in very good condition with no visible chips. The rivets on this lantern are copper. This is a very high quality lamp in excellent condition. I chose not to polish the brass/copper because some people like the"vintage" look. It is found in good used condition, but is missing parts such as the bracket, wick and glass chimney. The base is signed"Perko" Someone wrote the word"Dee" in red on the base too. Both are best seen in photo#5. This lamp is weighted so when hung, it will maintain in an upright position. The base has an approximate diameter of 2 3/4" and measures approximately 6 1/4' in size. Vintage Maritime Ship Light Spot Lamp Antique Marine Flood Fixture Ship Military
This auction is for one vintage ship spot light. We bought this fixture from a local estate. It belonged to a man that served in the Navy as a dentist. This was part of a large lot of vintage dental equipment that we purchased. We were told that it was from one of the many military ships that he practiced on. The fixture does work. There is a separate bulb socket mounted on the plate that supports the round light diffuser that is not wired. But the bulb in the center of the diffuser works(see pictures) Cosmetically, there are scratches and plenty of wear. It was painted black at some point and that paint is flaking and there is surface rust present(see pictures) It has been in storage for quite a while and it needs to be cleaned. This is a wonderful very large antique anchor light manufactured by Eli Griffith& Sons Birmingham. It measures 21 inches high with the base measuring 9 inches across. It has a 360 degree clear lense that is in perfect condition. No cracks or holes. The body of the light is galvanized metal. It has a brass hinged plate on the top. Small brass plate"Eli Griffiths& Sons Birmingham X49 over a brass plate with the word"Anchor" Below Anchor plate is a brass turn knob to open the hinged top. This is a kerosene light but it is missing the kerosene burner inside. The only flaw I see on this piece is a small dent to the left of the makers plate otherwise it is in beautiful original condition.

Facial damage consists of chipping on outer edge of ribbing, back-side edges and corners show usage chipping, mostly flea-bite size. manufacturing air bubbles The chipping is shallow(is not missing large chunks of glass) with only 2 spots being dime size and the remainder being various pea sizes and smaller. While it simply needs an experts touch. This item has been in storage near Mobile Bay, Alabama and previously belonged to my grandfather who worked at and retired from the shipyard in the early 1970's. The finds are sporadic at times, and not grouped or labelled. This lens sat alone wrapped in paper and reinforced with cloth electrical tape that had stiffened and lost its sticky. Up for auction is AN ORIGINAL VERY OLD vintage solid galvanized metal nautical Ship Anchor Lantern. The classic anchor lamp used on sailing ships for hundreds of years. The anchor lamp is machined in pure heavy-gauge steel sheet. The Fresnel style lens is made to magnify the oil lamp light to be visible for 20 nautical miles. The tops to the main body and the vent top are both hinged. Thus the top swings open for access and ease of cleaning. This all metal(except the frilled vent top, which is galvanized copper) is galvanized and shows its age. THIS IS NOT A REPRODUCTION. The anchor lamp is named for its use. A 360o white light is required to be displayed at the highest point( the tallest mast) on all vessels at anchor or under way at night. We have here an Antique Cast Iron Maritime Yacht Hanging Lantern. It measures 9" tall. 12" to the top of the hook. It is 3 3/8" around at base. It has a cylinder glass globe. About 2 1/4" wide. There is a fracture in the glass, extends entire length. Base screws off easily. Its bronze. The bottom, as seen in pic, is broken in spots, cannot hold oil or kero. No burner font. Also has been dented on the bottom on the rear side(see pictures) It stands perfectly and the dent does not effect the function. Actually it does not look to challenging to repair? The Lamp looks to be made of solid copper and has developed a rich patina, but being copper I am sure this can be polished to look like new if that fits your taste. Appears to have been designed to burn oil(see photos) History: In the early l960’s. I purchased this lantern from a marine salvage yard in San Francisco. I disassembled everything and had the metal parts dipped to remove decades of paint and crud. And then sprayed the metal parts with clear matte acrylic. The objective was to just clean it up; not to make it look new nor“restored” At that time we had a waterfront weekend place on Bethel Island. CA, in the Sacramento/San Joaquin Delta area. Our dining table was placed before a window which overlooked Piper Slough. Where we moored our boat, and Frank’s Tract(lake) This lantern was hung above the table and centered in ... morethe window. During the wiring to accommodate 110/120V“shore power” I installed a small pull-chain switch at the bottom of the lantern. Here’s how it worked: If the adults were gathered round the table sippin. Dippin. And grinnin, we might prefer the red“mood light” only. If the kids were playing checkers. They would pull the chain to activate the down-light. There is ample space for a Par38 halogen floodlight. The beacon is lighted by three other internal lamp sockets illuminating the Fresnel lens. Hanging chain and canopy(as shown) included. I PURCHASED THIS MANY YEARS AGO AND IT HAD ABOUT 10 COATS OF BLACK PAINT ON IT. I TOOK IT TO A PROFESSIONAL AND HAD IT CLEANED AND IT WAS A BEAUTIFUL BRASS. THAT WAS A LONG TIME AGO SO IT HAS DULLED OVER THE YEARS BUT WOULD CLEAN BEAUTIFUL AGAIN. IT IS IN REALLY NICE CONDITION. NO GLASS CRACKS OR CHIPS. Antique Vintage Red Bow Boat Light Mounted on Clamp Port Side Maritime Works
This is most likely considered an antique(50+ years old) The only stamp on it. Is on the"on switch" and it simply says, Made In USA" I bought it from an elderly man that was down-sizing. It was described as a"Red Bow" boat light. It's for the"port" side of the boat. It's battery operated and the stainless steel housing is in very good condition, having maybe 2 small"pit marks" The red plastic lens is also in great shape, having only 1 or 2"rub marks" The metal clamp is a flat colored metal and would clean up nicely, there is one small area of surface rust(1-2" on the inside, but the finish is smooth in that area so there is no structural damage, at all. The"turn screw" that tightens the clamp to the boat, is bent and could use a bit of straightening out. The light ... morestill works, I turned it on and took pictures of it, lit up. The light, itself, measures nearly 7" in length. The clamp's inside width is 2 5/8" It's a really great light. I've looked at a number of boat lights online and have yet to find a similar one. It would make a great addition to the collection of someone that collects maritime items!

This is a nice antique likely 19th century unusual maritime ship nautical lantern with port& starboard/ red& green glass that is separated by a protruding piece of metal. In pretty nice shape as the pics show with some decoration around the top and it does have some minor imperfections with the 2 worst being seen in the last couple of pics and it comes exactly as shown. Antique Maritime Oil Lamp Gavlvanized appearance but may be Brass
This Nautical Antique Oil Lamp has a galvanized appearance but I feel this is a patina created by use. I feel it may be brass or chrome plated brass as a magnet is not attracted to it. I did not want to disturb the surface as some of my buyers may appreciate the natural aging. It is 8 1/2" tall not including the top ring and 4 1/2" wide. The bottom screws off to access the oil. Container and wick. The globe in design looks something like those found in a lighthouse. As you can see from my description this is not my field of expertise, but this little lamp obviously speaks for its self to the maritime collector.
