This is a vintage Gothic style cast iron fireplace insert that doesn't seem to have ever been used with a fire. It measures aprox. 17 1/2" wide across the front. 14 1/2" across the back x 9" deep x 10 1/2" high on the back and 9 1/2" high on front. The bottom grate lifts out for cleaning purposes. Other than some surface rust it is in good condition, no breaks. It is available for pickup or can be delivered by Fed Ex ground for 22.80 including insurance. Out of an old 1890s Southern Victorian home about to be demolished this wonderful old cast iron surround was rescued. This surround has been stripped of many layers of stubborn and brittle paint. Measuring 27 1/2" Tall x 25" Wide or across the front. The inside dimension is 24 1/2" Tall x 18 1/2" Wide. After cleaning it turned put great. There is a small break at the bottom of the tight inside bottom hard to see but does not affect the surround in any way. Please take a look.

Steampunk 1900s IRON Steel Brass GAS FIREPLACE INSERT REZNOR Orthoray Rare Vtg
Steampunk: The gas line could be used for the electrical line coming into the device and two brass balls could be removed and pipes could be connected to those square tubes to form the base for a double-sided steampunk lamp. The weight of the entire device would be sufficient to hold a nice size light fixture. Height about 24 inches. Width about 22 inches. Depth about 12 inches. The cast? iron/ steel appears to be in good shape. One of the finials on the left side- the brass ball- is cracked. The old ceramic inserts in the fireplace are not perfect. One is cracked in two and one does not appear to be the same as the others. We do not know if the inserts are original. But that should not detract from the beauty of this very old and interesting piece. Inserts are easily replaced. The connections seem to be there; the handle for turning the ... moregas up/ down seems to be there as well. It is being sold in as is condition; we believe it can be resurrected. Please scroll down under this description for additional views.Late Victorian or Edwardian era decorative cast iron fireplace insert or"summer cover" as many people call them since they were used to cover the black hole of the fireplace opening during the warm months when it was not in use every day. These covers were just another element of pattern and design that helped to keep the room clean and perhaps keep the occasional bird out of the house. 1358" is the design number embossed on the back of this piece which measures 26 3/4" tall. 20" wide. The top center is slightly bowed and has a depth of 1 1/4" The background has a hammered texture and is decorated with swags of ribbon with trailing bellflowers on the ends. The oval cartouche in the center shows a Classically garbed woman playing a pair of twin pipes ... morewhile a cherub dances and another peers over her shoulder. Perhaps she is Euterpe the Greek muse of music. There is very good detail to the casting and it does remind me of a jasperware piece with the raised Classic design. The front has old gold metallic paint that is worn but is not so built up that it blurs the imagery. There is some surface rust on the back that can be wire brushed off. The bottom knob is missing, leaving a little hole where it was mounted. Up for sale here is a Cast iron fireplace mantle trim insert.This is a beauty. This Insert came off of a 1920's Arts and Crafts Mantle. This insert is in fantastic condition with just a very small place with some minor surface rust only.There are no breaks. Bends, or other obvious defects that I can find. It comes complete with the log holder and original hookups for it. There are lots of very ornate deigns and decorations all over and even on the log holder itself. 1895 Dawson Bros. Chicago Victorian Fireplace Insert & Cover Ornate...Nice
Original 1895 Dawson Brothers Victorian Era Fireplace Insert. Lightweight. Made of a heavy gauge type tin w/brushed copper. The inside grate is ornate cast iron. very nice condition for 129 years old. The cover is decorated with a crest or shield of some sort. Super Victorian fireplace insert with brass finials. Beautifully decorated with two fancy columns that have a nice leaf pattern across the top and down the sides. Removable cast iron feet. Has a small crack in it's back so it should probably be used for decorative purposes only. The brass needs polishing. This piece is very heavy and it does not fit into a modern fireplace opening. As you can see by the photos I was not able to push it back all the way. It made a nice focal point for my old gift shop and it looked great with a huge poinsettia plant in it during the holidays. Rare Ray-Glo Antique gas fireplace insert.
I don't have much information on this heater. Other than what I can see. Ray-Glo made heaters and inserts as early as the 1920's, but I don't know when they stopped. I guess this one was made before 1940, but really don't know. This insert appears to be well used but in good condition. I have not hooked it up, but I think it works. The pictures are an accurate representation. It has some surface wear and scratches and the back and is a bit rusty. The overall width is 23" and overall height is 19" and approximately 10" deep.

This piece was created by the foundry of Wm H Jackson& Co. in NYC. and is numbered"140. The Jackson family had foundries in New York City through most of the 1800's into the early 1900's. As you can see in the pictures, the actual fire surround can be detached from the insert if you wish. All pieces have surface rust but are very solid. The rear covers are missing. Very few of these pieces exist now due to age and urban renewal destruction. A really great Americana piece ready to be admired and even brought back to its original beauty. 2 Vtg Architectural Salvage Fireplace Insert Iron Arch Surround Antique Cottage
This deep pair of victorian/Art Deco cast iron fireplace insert surrounds is from the late 1800s or early 1900s. Naturally. They could be used again as fireplace inserts; however, with a little imagination and seeing our photographs you might be able to utilize these as the legs for a table with 2 x 8s supporting the sides. We also have available several solid oak diner table tops. There is one online right now in our eBay store. This pair each individually measures 24 inches across and approximately 27 and three-quarter inches in height. Beautiful early 1900's cast iron gas heater great condition but has one broken ceramic mantle. The stove is 17" wide x 19.5" tall x 7" deep. Extensions add 5.5" to each side and 3" to the depth. This Antique Victorian Cast Iron Fireplace Insert Surround has the matching Summer Cover. The Cast Iron Insert is marked on the back 100 16. This set has been painted at least 3 times. Maybe more. The Summer Cover as a dent or bend, please check the photos. The condition is very good for this 1800's piece. Insert Surround measures 30 1/4" tall x 24 5/8" wide X 2 3/8" deep. The Summer Cover measures 26 1/4" tall and 16 1/16" wide and 1 3/16" deep. On the back of this Fireplace Cover there are the numbers 100 16. On the Insert Surround there at double tabs on each side to hold the Cover and there are anchor holds to secure it when installing, please check the photos. Selling a stunning Antique Cast Iron Fireplace Basket Grate Coal Box Wood Log Holder from the late 19th century. Measures roughly 18" tall x 24" wide x 13" deep. Features a beautiful Fleur-de-lis/lily motif. There is a door/flap on the bottom that is able to tilt and allows you to dump the coals or ashes. The back is stamped 1505-24. The sides stamped 1505L and 1505R, face is stamped 1505, the bottom is stamped 24 and the door/flap is stamped 230. In Good Used Condition, shows appropriate wear for it's age. Still has the original dark blue paint but it is chipping and has some rust. Please see pictures for more on condition. Let me know if you have any questions.
