Previously owned but shows no signs of ever having burning logs atop them. this set of 2 Classic styled FirePlace ANDIRONS. Measures 18 1/2" height x 13" overall length x 7 1/2" width(foot to foot) The brass finial is actually 4 pieces as shown in photo#6. And is not a solid piece(hollowed out inside) The cast iron body section is hollowed out as well. The body attaches to the 1/8" cast iron legs which attach to the 5/8" x 1/2" wrought iron shank. With logs placed atop the Andiron shank. Will raise the firewood 3 3/4" off the fireplace floor. A lighter weight set, weighing 3 1/2" pounds each. If you intend to use these for more than just fireplace decor, I would suggest that you use a cooler burning wood- definitely not Hickory which burns extremely hot. Description This is a great antique mantel that was salvaged from a Philadelphia Victorian home. I think it is made of cherry and it is currently painted white. It is a 2 piece mantel. Upper and lower. The lower has tall fluted pilasters topped with carved corbels supporting the shelf. There is a raised panel with small corbels in the corner of the breast. The upper has 3 mirrors. The center is beveled. The left mirror is not beveled and the right is missing. There are shelves in the middle of the outer mirrors and are supported by turned spindles. There are dentil moldings above the mirrors. The top crown molding is supported by tall fluted brackets. It measures 50 inches wide. 89.5 inches tall and is 11 inches thick. Antique Majolica fireplace tiles. Identical 2-pieces, raised relief. Measures 6 inch square by about 3/8 inch thick, not including the raised relief. There are a few, very small chips on the high points of the relief. I tried to capture in the photos. No fracture lines. Some plaster debris still on sides of right tiles, can be easily removed by buyer. Also be aware that the shine on photos are not defects. The defects are very small and NOT white, shiny spots.
