Unique South Indian blow pipe/blowgun for display and starting conversion. It appears hand carved and constructed with native materials. Described based ... moreon other listings as I'm not knowledgeable about such items and this is an estate sale find, so make sure this is what you want before you bid. Wear and use present with scratches, chips, some missing "bark" around pipe, etc. Review all photos to determine if the condition meets your standards. And ask before you bid if you have any questions. Thanks.

VINTAGE SHIPIBO CONIBO INDIAN FACE POTTERY VESSEL The Shipibo-Conibo are an indigenous people along the Ucayali River in the Amazon rainforest in Peru. ... moreFormerly two groups. The Shipibo(ape men) and the Conibo(fish men) they eventually became one distinct tribe through intermarriage and communal ritual and are currently known as the Shipibo-Conibo people. For your consideration I have a great looking vintage example of Shipibo-Conibo pottery from Peru which is in excellent condition. It was acquired at an estate sale a few years back. I was told that it was acquired on a trip to Peru in the 1960s. aside from a small nick in the glaze on the rim and another small nick on the ear both which could easily be touched up. I would rate this piece a 9/10 or better overall. There are no major chips and no cracks. It has a real presence and it displays like a champ! It is a great practical size for flower arrangements. It measures approx. 8.25" tall. And 8" wide at the widest point. If you have any questions please feel free to ask me before bidding. Like need or want it? Don't wait! Bid now!

MATSES PERU AMAZON INDIAN MONKEY BONE NECKLACE MATSES INDIANS- RIO GALVEZ. PERU. THIS IS A TRADITIONAL BODY WRAP TYPICALLY WORN BY YOUNG GIRLS. MADE OF ... moreMONKEY BONE. ONE STRAND 11 INCHES LONG. THE MATSES( ALSO KNOWN AS THE MAYORUNA IN BRAZIL AND IN SOME LITERATURE) ARE COMMONLY REFERRED TO AS"THE CAT PEOPLE" BECAUSE OF THE FACIAL ADORNMENT OF WHISKERS AND TATTOOS. THEY FIRST CAME INTO PERMANENT CONTACT WITH THE OUTSIDE WORLD IN 1969. CENSUS NUMBERS VARY FROM 2000-2500. THEY HAVE NO REGULAR ECONOMIC SUPPORT DEPENDING ALMOST ENTIRELY ON THEIR FORESTS FOR SURVIVAL. SINCE 1998 THEY HAVE GAINED LEGAL TITLE TO THEIR LAND WHICH COMPRISE 452.735 HECTARES ALONG THE YAVARI, YAQUERANA AND GALVEZ RIVERS OF BRAZIL AND PERU. THE MATSES ARE ADEPT IN THE USE OF THE BOW AND ARROW. THE ARROWS ARE TRULY WORKS OF ART AND ARE CONSIDERED THE FINEST IN THE AMAZON. THE ARROWS TYPICALLY MEASURE ABOUT 2 METERS LONG WITH LARGE FEATHERS FROM VARIOUS SPECIES EXPERTLY WOVEN ONTO THE SHAFT. ABOVE THE FEATHERWORK DYED COTTON IS WRAPPED AROUND THE SHAFT AND BAMBOO DIVIDERS ARE ADDED AS ADORNMENT. ACIOTE IS APPLIED AS COLORATION WHICH RESULTS IN IN INCREDIBLY BEAUTIFUL PIECE. DUE TO THEIR ISOLATION THEY HAVE LIMITED CONTACT WITH THE OUTSIDE WORLD. HOWEVER. THE USE OF THE BOW AND ARROW IS QUICKLY BEING REPLACED BY THE SHOTGUN. THE KNOWLEDGE OF THE MANUFACTURE OF THE MORE COMPLEX AND ARTISTIC FORMS OF THE ARROW MAY SOON BE LOST AND PERHAPS THE TRADITIONAL MATSES ARROW ITSELF. COLLECTED IN JULY 2008 BY MYSELF AND AMAZON GUIDE GARY LIGHTHALL. THE INCREDIBLE TRIP TOOK 5 DAYS JUST TO GET TO THE MATSES VILLAGE. IT BEGAN ON A TRANSPORT FROM IQUITOS TO REQUENA. THEN AN ARDUOUS 42+ KM WALK ALONG THE MATSES TRAIL FROM REQUENA TO THE RIO LOBOS CULMINATING IN AN 8 HOUR CANOE RIDE DOWNSTREAM TO THE LAST MATSES VILLAGE ON THE RIO GALVEZ. VINTAGE 60's SHIPIBO CONIBO INDIAN FACE POTTERY VASE VESSEL AMAZON PERU PERUVIAN
VINTAGE SHIPIBO CONIBO INDIAN FACE POTTERY VESSEL The Shipibo-Conibo are an indigenous people along the Ucayali River in the Amazon rainforest in Peru. Formerly two groups. It has a real presence and it displays ... morelike a champ! It is a great practical size for flower arrangements. It measures approx. 8.25" tall. And 8" wide at the widest point. If you have any questions please feel free to ask me before bidding. Amazon Indian Seed Necklace With Feathers Wai Wai Tribe
This is an Amazon Indian seed with feathers necklace Wai Wai Tribe. It looks to be in very good condition. With minor wear to the feathers. It measures 16" long to the bottom of the circular part. The circle part measures 3 1/2" in diameter. I am assuming it is all hand made by that tribe. That was the name that was on it when I bought it. It is listed in my store. If it sells for full price, I will ship it for free. I have many items up for auction& am happy to combine shipping. Thanks for looking! Canadian& Oversees residents: I only accept PayPal. I try to calculate to the best of my ability the weights for shipping. But sometimes with all of the bubble wrap and packing, the weight is more than I expect, so I may not always ship USPS. If you have a problem with this, please contact me before bidding. Ebay does not allow ... moreus to accept any forms of payment except electronic and I cannot list otherwise or my listings will be pulled! I ship usually within two days, mostly in one day and I have been getting knocked for slow shipping. Please remember I cannot control the length of time it take for USPS or UPS to get the package to you. I also have my shipping charges as calculated, so you will know the cost of shipping. So please give me a five star rating. Ebay takes away our search standing and doesn't give us a discount for almost anything less than perfect ratings. I have been a little slower getting things out lately because I have a bad back. So please have a little patience if I am not shipping immediately.
